  1. They act as though we were absolutely desperate and trying everything possible to keep Willian and that Chelsea fans are in meltdown that he's gone there. In reality, the club would've liked to keep him but weren't desperate. Otherwise they would've just given him everything he wanted. And our fans are just saying 'meh' about him going. Just a few weeks ago before the Arse move came into focus all the Arse fans that are now gloating were calling him shit, old, and a Chelsea reject.
  2. Will be solid but unspectacular for them next season. Just like he was here. He's not a De Buryne or Salah who we will watch for a rival every weekend and curse that we let him go. He'll play a blinder every once in a while and be average most of the time.
  3. Very impressed with him here. Physically dominant and very good on the ball. His new contract included a relatively affordable release clause, right? We should be all over him next summer.
  4. Structure of the payments is most likely what's holding it up just like with Sancho and United. Both ourselves and United have probably offered a decent sized initial payment with the rest coming in future windows so we can afford other targets. Dortmund and Bayer are probably both playing hardball and wanting the whole fee upfront which is causing the deals to stall. What is in our favor compared to United is that Bayer could really use the cash and everything with the player agreeing to the move is already settled. Dortmund are in an extremely strong position negotiation wise while Bayer will never get a fee as high as we're offering again since Havertz will have only 1 year left on his contract this time next summer.
  5. If LB is such a huge priority then surely we can wait another year for Chilwell? Not sure my sanity can take another 6 months to a year of Alonso or Azpi at LB getting roasted repeatedly.
  6. As hilarious as this all is (and it really is 😂) this is probably gonna piss WH off. All of our lads are surely pushing him to join us.
  7. So much for "things will move rapidly after they're out of the EL." If personal terms have been agreed for weeks and we know the price they want roughly, I wonder what the hold up is?
  8. Jesus. If we manage to get an obligation to buy rather than just an option then Marina deserves a knighthood. Recouping just about the whole cost of buying him after the disaster he's been. Wow.
  9. I just think it'll be nice to no longer be jealous watching other teams having 3-4 attacking players of the highest quality who can produce magic consistently while we only have 1. No more give it to Hazard/Pulisic and pray for a miracle. We will have 4+ genuinely top class attacking players in our XI at any given time.
  10. I agree. Chilwell is surely impossible if we bag Kai and Rice. Honestly, I've fallen off the Chilwell bandwagon hard for the price quoted. If he was 35-40m I'd be all for it. But we can get someone at or above his level for half or lower than what LCFC are asking.
  11. Judging by the Twitter chatter it looks as though no Reguilon for us. Seems he's off to Napoli.
  12. So nothing has changed, really. We get these same useless "Kai is pushing to join Chelsea & the clubs need to find an agreement" updates every other day. Give us something new, damnit!
  13. Christ, that's an ugly fucking shirt. Spuds making Everton/West Ham/Newcastle level signings. They're going to be boring as hell to watch again next season but likely a tough team to play against. Still 100% reliant on Kane staying fit, though.
  14. Fortunately for us (and Kai) he won't be thought of as the "savior" and #1 star player like Özil was. Havertz will of course have pressure on his shoulders due to the price tag and hype, but Özil's every touch, every facial expression, every movement was often criticized. Even when he was nowhere near the play the commentators would sometimes say "look how lazy Özil is!"
  15. There may be some visits to Ed Woodward's house again by some angry Man United fans if he fails with Sancho. 😂
  16. Yeah, I'm not worried about that. A lot of really small, skinny wingers doing well here. It's definitely something to think about but I think he'll be fine. Pulisic, Mahrez, Sterling...the list goes on. Ziyech looks bigger than all of those.
  17. I mean, he was brilliant against us, Spuds, Real Madrid, Juventus and others. I don't think he'll struggle against mediocre English sides. If anything, I expect Ziyech to be even better here since he will be playing with better teammates. Even if he isn't scoring a lot his passing ability is light years better than Willian's is so he should be much more influential in our attack.
  18. We're linked with a different LB every week now. I'm all in on Reguilon now. And please not that Cucarella dude. I don't want to look at that horrendous hairstyle every week.
  19. It's true that he is nonchalant, but I think it was beyond obvious today.
  20. Just looking at his body language in these two games, he looks like his head is far out the door. It's always corny when people say that about players but he looks like he's in cruise control and was just trying to get through their EL campaign unscathed. Mission accomplished. GET IT DONE, CHELSEA! By the end of the week, preferably.
  21. I'd love for them to blow their load on overratted Grealish.
  22. Not gonna lie, United fucking up and failing to get Sancho would be almost as satisfying as us securing Havertz. Them scrambling to find a backup option who won't be nearly as good would be hilarious. But I won't laugh too hard about it until Havertz is done.
  23. Zorc has apparently said this about several big players in the past and all were sold once the buying club eventually paid up. Dembele, Aubameyang, Mkitaryan... They get a 120m offer, he's gone.
