Conte coming in mid season would stabilize them and should certainly secure them top 4. But I don’t think he’d be able to pull off a miracle like TT did for us. He just doesn’t have the midfield or wingback personnel to implement his style. But Conte with a summer transfer window to bring in a couple is a scary prospect. Like if they were to sign Rice and Lamptey they’d have one hell of a team with a serial winner coaching them.

Hope they leave him in place for just a few more weeks so they’re absolutely zero threat to us in the league. If Conte comes in and does a Tuchel it isn’t inconceivable that they could claw back into title contention.

Think the best case for us opposition fans if Ole goes is that they stupidly appoint Zidane. Don’t think he would get this team to play much better than Ole has. Let’s hope they do that. Unless Salah and perhaps one of their starting midfielders get injured for an extended period they will be right there until the end. Their only consistent looking weakness is their vulnerability to the counter. Especially from wide areas.
