Nketiah another one. In fact, both of these sides have a bunch of players who were getting clowned on just a few months ago for being bang average. Shows how quickly things can turn around for us next season.

It’s actually insane how Rashford has gone from despised by United fans, them wanting him gone even if they had to give him away, all of them calling him Trashford and now he’s almost unplayable and scoring like a world class player.

Of the midfielders we’ve been linked with this window, the one that looks most similar to Enzo if we can’t get him is that French kid Kone from Gladbach. Great mix of steel and technical quality. Don’t know how much he’d cost, though.

I could’ve sworn that in years past the PL just continued for clubs not in the FA Cup and those that were just had their PL matches rescheduled. But anyways, this little break should definitely be beneficial for us. Build up fitness for Reece, Chilly, Zakaria and Fofana and get time in the training pitch for Felix, Mudryk, and Noni.

But why is there a 2 week break is what I’m asking?

Why is there such a long break until the next match?

So our incoming business is most likely done unless we have a couple of hefty sales this coming week. With James being back I bet the club are going to gamble for the remainder of the season and not bring anyone new in at RB. Midfield is where it could get interesting. I can see us improving our offer for Caicedo but not all the way up to £75m which would be madness.

He has surprised me. Knew he had the physical tools to handle the switch to this league but was very unsure about how he’d adjust to the pace of the PL game. But he has looked very calm, cool, and composed in his first 2 matches. Couple of rushed or sloppy passes and a couple of times where he has misjudged his positioning but that should be ironed out in time.

Now that we’re more used to playing a back 4 again I think we should try Mudryk left, Kai up top, Madueke right and Félix in the hole just behind Kai. But to do that we need to buy Caicedo so we have a solid midfield 2 behind those 4.

Much of Gallagher’s appeal is that he’s supposed to not only be aggressive and mobile in midfield but also pop up and score plenty of goals. But every single time he gets in great positions to score or have a shot he panics and shits himself. Whilst I’m not pushing hard for us to sell him, if some other club like Palace offer us a sizable fee I’d move him.

Bit of composure and sharpness and we win that with relative comfort. Silva and Badiashile devoured almost everything. None of their attackers did much of anything.

And the injury list grows.

WAKE THE FUCK UP

Unbelievable. Liverpool wake up and suddenly we can’t cope.

Liverpool can’t possibly be worse coming out for the second half. So hopefully we make a change or two quickly if the same players struggle.

A match like this convinces me even more that a player like Enzo would totally change our season. Someone who can receive the ball when pressed and break the lines with his passing. There’s so much space to exploit in wide areas here but we have nobody with the vision or balls to execute.

Taking into account how many we have missing that was a decent first half. But it could’ve been WAY better if Mount and Hall were sharp with their passing. Liverpool looked totally dead all over the pitch but we couldn’t punish them becasue our players are terribly out of form as well.

Good lord, how many misplaced passes from Mount?!

Hall has been very poor in the ball. Replace him in there with Carney, please.

Liverpool’s right side of defense is wide open and they’re to exploit. Mudryk could feast. Or if Félix was available 😒

Going to all be about the intensity we start with. They’re desperate for a win just like we are and will likely come out flying in order to get the Anfield crowd behind them. If our players look like rattled little kids like they often times do when opponents raise their intensity then we’ll get blown away even by this Liverpool B team.
