Goodness. We could’ve scored 3 and conceded 2 that half. Much better buildup from us today but same shit final action. Felix would’ve been killer in this game, ffs. Or an in from Auba.
-
We’re destroying them from wide areas, getting cross after cross in the box, but there’s nobody in there to finish the chances.
-
Couple of slightly sloppy moments aside, Badiashile already looks MUCH more composed and calm on the ball than KK. Hasn’t really been pressured yet, though.
-
That’s a VERY attacking lineup for Palace. Not ideal to have a teenager, a super mistake prone Chalobah, and a dude making his debut all starting in defense.
-
Not feeling great about this tbh but at least we should see something different from the start in midfield. Must win this and stop the rot.
-
I personally think everyone needs to settle down with calling him shit or saying he’s a massive bust. Unlike with Koulibaly, I think Cucu will go on to be a very good long term signing for us. When we have a functioning team he will improve a lot.
-
The thought of honoring the great Luca Vialli and presenting our new €100m toy pre-match and then going out and embarrassing ourselves in another loss to a poor team is unbearable. Especially as we have Liverpool up next who will always be annoying to play against despite them being as shit as we are currently. Potter may be on a long leash for the owners but if we lose like 7 out of 10 or something awful like that the atmosphere will be utterly toxic around the club.
-
Yeah, I think there was a commitment to invest a certain amount over the first 10 years of ownership or something like that. Seems like Todd misread the fine print and thought it said within the FIRST year! 🤣🤣🤣

I see it was already posted here but Ben Jacobs repeatedly saying that Caicedo is one to keep an eye on must mean that he has been told something. I just find it hard to believe now after spending so much on Mudryk that we have another £70m+ move in us this window. At some point our spending has to get us in trouble with the authorities, no? An unprecedented £200m or something in the January window after an unprecedented £300m last summer? Jesus. We have to start selling this window, surely? Also, I have still yet to any concrete and credible links to a RB. Our new scouting department and sporting director seriously can’t identify an inexpensive RB to sign as a squad player?
-
Why is the admin still posting Mudryk stuff when the signing hasn’t even been announced yet? It’s almost amateurish. 🤦♂️
-
With 2 new attacking players now in with Felix and Mudryk we should not even be thinking about Thuram any longer. Or anyone else in attack. Focus 100% of any remaining business on areas of genuine need. And if possible try to get a head start on outgoings.
-
Yeah. Imagine all the excitement from a lot of our fan base instantly stomped out by losing in embarrassing fashion again. 😬😬😬
-
Boehly is such a madman in the market that I wouldn’t be shocked at all if we offered £150m for Bellingham in the summer after botching the Enzo deal. Whether or not he would ever agree to come here without CL footy for the season I very much doubt. But I think we WILL try to match or exceed any bid for him.
-
More like competing with Sterling when he’s fit. Wonder what he’ll think of this move…
-
I may think this is a silly transfer at the moment and a big overpay, but at least it’s clear what type of attacker the club and/or Potter wants and it’s the type I’ve been desperate for for a long while. Nkunku, Mudryk, links to Leão and that kid from PSV. We want super quick, highly aggressive, skillful attackers who have the balls to take on defenders and be assertive. Hopefully brings an end to soft and dainty guys like Pulisic and Ziyech who are either injured all the time or can’t beat a player in space to save their lives.
-
The #1 thing that stands out when watching Mudryk highlights is his blistering pace and ability to dribble and beat players in space. But the thing you also notice is how many clips there are of him in just massive acres of wide open pitch. How often will that happen for him here at Chelsea and in the PL? When we’re actually in form as a team our opposition sits deep and negates space which could rob a player like this of his best attributes. That’s what I worry about.
-
If we aren’t getting a midfielder this window then for the love of God, can we at least sign a RB so we don’t have to watch Azpi struggle though match after match for any longer?
-
It’s clear that the sizable add-on’s are what makes this 100m deal different than the 100m Enzo deal, but fucking hell this is annoying. We could have signed a transformational player in a position of dire need. Instead we could spend mega money on a kid who will have huge pressure on him instantly in a team with rock bottom form and confidence. Apparently there’s still a chance Arse can hijack the hijack. I’m kind of hoping they do.
-
Spending 100m on a left winger after just spending 50m in a left winger a few months ago is some hilarious shit, btw. Like spending 62m on Cucu when we already had 50m Chilly. Ordinarily you’d say that’s great for depth but when we have GLARING holes in the squad elsewhere that are seemingly being ignored it’s just madness.
-
We’ve been so monumentally shit that I haven’t even glanced at the table or watched a single minute of any football other than ours in months. So finding out just now that Liverpool are having an almost equally as shit of a season as we are is nice.
-
He’s been whoring himself at Arse for literally weeks, if not longer. The dude clearly dreams of playing for arguably our most hated rival currently. 🤢🤢🤢
-
If we are so desperate for a wide player that we can bid 100m for one, why not bid for Leão? Isn’t his contract running low? We really think Milan would turn down 100m? Mudryk looks like a player who you’d be glad to have for £40-50m. But 100m!? Ridiculous.
-
Oh, FFS, please don’t do this you idiots! USE THAT MONEY ON ENZO!!! This kid isn’t worth NEARLY this kind of silly money. Just let Arse have the guy!
-
No chance you can look at Newcastle or Spuds or any of these usual midtable or lower sides that are above us currently and say they’re more talented than we are. I’d argue that if all our players were at their peak level we’d have the second most talented squad in the league after City. Arse have a bunch of players who everyone would’ve said are bang average prior to this season. Everyone was saying United’s team were all bang average as recently as a few months ago when they got off to that dreadful start. What these clubs have that we don’t right now is completely buy-in to the manager from their players.
-
In terms of mentality and team cohesion we are. In terms of talent we’re every bit as good if not better than most of the clubs above us. We must purge all the mentally soft jokers and aging players if we want to turn this ship around.
