The gulf in class between these two sides both in and out of possession is embarrassing. A team with a fraction our our budget and talent making us look silly. Dominating the ball, pressing and winning it over and over as a team. Every player clean and tidy on the ball in tight areas. We continue to look like a team with no coach like we have all season.
 -
Extremely undeserved but will take any goal at this point. We’ve been dominated for nearly 15 minutes.
 -
Chalobah is shite. Be fine seeing him sold this summer in the clear out.
 -
Gonna put every football related journalist and organization on mute and tune out for the rest of the season if we don’t win here today. No point at all in watching us the rest of the way. Not worth the annoyance of seeing players that don’t care under a manager who isn’t up to the job. I’ll be back in the summer.
 -
Expecting us to get played off the park here. Why not play Madueke for the rest of the way in the PL? Not even in the squad. We should be getting he and Mudryk as many minutes as possible in these meaningless games so they can settle for next season. Why have players like Ziyech in the squad knowing they’re off?
 -
Unai Emery has Villa playing 10x better than we’ve looked all season. And he has barely taken any time to transform them. With talent nowhere close to what we have.
 -
Still don’t buy the Gavi stuff at all. Not unless Luis Enrique has told the board that he is an absolute priority that he NEEDS in order to implement his style. Even then I can’t see Barca allowing a teenaged “wonderkid” walk on a free. They’ll pressure him, promise him the moon, and have all the Spanish media on him. Players that come through their youth system and become stars in the first team just don’t leave. Not when the club actually badly want to keep him. That fan base would riot if he walked. And as for the reports on the Chelsea side, they’re pretty outlandish as well. Talk of us paying an 18 year old hundreds of thousands a week sounds like bullshit.

We truly are the laughing stock of Europe at the moment. Hundreds and hundreds of millions spent and we play like a team of strangers who have never been coached. This UCL campaign is done obviously, but now we have to worry about these players phoning it in for the rest of the way in the PL. We very well could be dragged into the relegation dogfight.
 -
Last competitive CL match we’re going to have for who knows how long if we don’t make the right appointment this summer. The fixture list will be light with no Europe so we have an excellent chance to finish top 4 under a top class manager.
 -
That red is 100% on Cucu. Totally asleep. This could get humiliating now. Well, even more humiliating.
 -
I don’t even blame Fofana for this, btw. This is his first real taste of this level up against probably the best winger in the world. This was poor tactics to leave him so extremely isolated out there. Not much a big 6’4” CB can do against a lightning quick winger when he’s got acres of space to run into. He’s been made a sitting duck.
 -
It’s straight up embarrassing how much calmer, crisper, and technical they are compared to us. Every player 1-11 has an amazing first touch. Contrast to us where like 3-4 of our first 11 does.
 -
Their press in midfield is completely dominating us. We keep getting the ball and then instantly losing it. The rare times we do get it into the final third we look dangerous just about every time. But the midfield needs to be more composed. Kova has been totally invisible.
 -
Reece having a terrible game so far in defense. Fine going forward but so sloppy otherwise.
 -
As I said. We were just asking for it. What the fuck was Kova doing so far out of position?
 -
Letting them stroke it around with this much space is just asking for trouble.
 -
Each one of the Real Madrid defenders has a silly error in them if we actually try to get at them. And as sensational as Modrić & Kroos are in possession they can be exploited off the ball as we’ve proven for two consecutive seasons. This is one of those matches where we need our midfielders to be extremely sharp on the ball. Every once in a while Kova will have an uncharacteristic sloppy game on the ball and we cannot afford that here.
 -
Love this team selection. Felix and Sterling are the best forwards we have at making the ball stick when played at their feet between the lines. Super dynamic midfield 3 and hopefully James & Chilly are aggressive.
 -
I have seen him at Lakers games this season. He’ll probably be there this week for sure.
 -
Todd making sure Chelsea look like clowns if we lose in humiliating fashion tonight… 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️

The talk with Bellingham with Liverpool out of the way is that Real Madrid are favorites. But they have Valverde, Tchoameni, and Camavinga as their young, future midfield already. All are under 25 and have been projected as future world class players. So how does spending £120m or more on another young midfielder make sense? I guess if both Kroos and Modrić go there’s room, but there’s no indication of that happening. They already have to shuffle Camavinga and Valverde around to strange positions because their midfield is loaded.
 -
Meh. Not impressed with Scaloni. Or any manager that’s coaching international football, really. Especially one that had the greatest player in history putting in Man of the Match performances every single game and had other world class performers as well. And I wasn’t trying to belittle River. I know they’re massive in South America. But I still think it would be a massive risk to appoint someone who has never managed in Europe. I’d say the same thing if we were linked with the manager of some mega club in Brazil. Yes, they may be at the pinnacle of the sport in South America, but the quality of the competition is nowhere near the PL.
 -
Yeah, no more mega gambles likes Lampard and Potter. A dude who has never even managed in Europe, never mind a TOP club is ridiculously stupid for a club which desperately needs to get back into the UCL ASAP. As I said here in the days right after Potter was sacked, a manager with BIG CLUB experience should be the first prerequisite. Someone who has managed big players in huge games and commands instant respect of the dressing room. In the same way a load of our players had to Google who tf Graham Potter was and clowned on him for being in over his head, we’d have the same thing if we appointed this Gallardo guy.
 -
If we actually show up and try to take them head on rather than act like scared pussies who are psychologically beaten before a ball is kicked we can hurt them. A fit Kante and a fit Thiago Silva give us a chance. Not sure where a goal is going to come from but we should be able to at least put up a fight in midfield.

So uh…..when is anything going to happen with City getting hit with like 100 financial violations? That may be the only thing that stops them dominating for years and years to come. All the English press have just been briefed today that Liverpool are out of the race for Bellingham because he’s too expensive with them needing so many new players. So he will almost certainly be favorite to go to City instead.
