  1. Lets not get Carried away yet and start calling for Scolari's head. Look at our bench Sunday, and what plan B was there? Personally i would have had Deco off and Stoch on sooner. Malouda is once again becoming a liability and waste of space. Carvalho, Essien, J.Cole and Drogba! 4 massive first team players for us missing. Take the equivelant out of any other team and they would struggle worse than what we have. But it is becomming a worry that we creating so few chances in a game to score.
  2. Well he did that he understands that people make mistakes, but said he wanted the ref and lino to apologise for cocking up so badly. Which is fiar enough.
  3. Great move for him. A loss for us. He was an excellant coach and it will be hard to replace him in the reserves. I liked him a lot and so did the players. I am sure he will have a geat future in the game as a first team boss.
  4. Stupid points by the old Bearded fool. Ask Michael Woods and Tom Taiwo if they would prefer to get regular football with Leeds now in League 1 or take a bit longer time to get into the Premiership Champions first team. He has already written them off which is ludicrous as both have tons of potential and have every chance of making it still.
  5. Kalou would play the lead striker role. He would be able to do it as well.
  6. Your right, we need to get our home form back on track in this game. No idea who is going to be available for this one but i am sure we are going to be able to put a very decent side together that is more than capable of going out and getting the 3 points.
  7. I don't think anyone would disagree with the point that the spitting was a horrible and stupid thing to do. But the ban was massively excessive, and it is good that the ban has been overturned.
  8. Good news, and also good to see that common sense can prevail at times.
  9. Definately playing it safe, we have some quality youngsters who would love the chance to show what they can do. Even Di Santo who impressed in pre season and who looked more than capable against Liverpool can't get chances and that is with only 1 of our other strikers available. I wouldn't be as dissapointed if Scolari hadn't been saying when he joined about how he was all for giving youngsters a chance, but he did and he has had the chances and not taken them.
  10. Yes Belletti has been good, but he is Scolari's solution to everything. He is ALWAYS brought on no matter what the situation. Like i said, if we need to change something on the wings, bring a winger in. We are not going to know what these players can do unless we put them in and give them the time. 3 nil up at half time would for me be the perfect time to blood some fresh new players but it never happens, not matter how much we have the game in the bag.
  11. What is there to moan about. Lampard has been looked over by the England Physio and passed not fit to play - that was done without any drama, i am not sure though why Gerrard didn't get checked over first and was then forced to fly over to be checked. Players get injured, it happens, this is what you get when you put an international game in the middle of a packed November playing schedule.
  12. All well and good saying that, but it has to happen. It's not as if Mancienne has just dropped out of no-where! Mancienne has looked like making it the way he has for years. We should never have brought in Ivanovic and brought Mancienne into the squad this summer. This is where we still have not got it right with our young stars - our academy is at a very high standard now and our reserve team is full of extremely talented young footballers and now we need to give them their chances with the first team to see if they can cut it - it is the only way to know. It's not just Mancienne. It's Cork, Bertrand, Stoch, Sahar - not to mention Sinclair and Di Santo all knocking on the door to get their chance and show what they can do and prove they are good enough for our first team.
  13. Well even though we have suffered from injury, i think we will be fine with our squad. Especially if we are going to be willing to use some younger players as cover. For example instead of bringing belletti on to play right wing, bring Sinclair on. And i can't believe Di Santo hasn't been given more oppertunities.
  14. As far as i can see there are 2 options with us regarding Mancienne, as there was a lot of interest in Ivanovic over the summer if we can make a profit on him then we let him go and bring Mancienne in or come the January transfer window when Mancienne is back from his loan, we loan him to a premier league club - the latter is exactly what i think will happen, if we can do that and he gets regular first team football in the premier league then that will suit both Chelsea and Mancienne i think. The Championship is not where he needs to be now.
  15. We was unlucky in a way last night, we created chances but just couldn't finish them. But i think most people would have liked to have seen more from the team, not in the way of aggresiveness or fight, just plain motivation. We should have had that game won - Malouda and Kalou had poor games, would it have been any worse playing Sinclair and Stoch? No arguably it most likely would have been better!
  16. A poor performance really. We have seen it happen before when playing lower league opposition. The players have won the game in their head before kick off! I would have liked to have seen Sinclair, Di Santo and Stoch from the start, they would have more motivation than the players who did start. Dissapointing for sure to go out, but it happens.
  17. Di Santo needs playing time as much as Drogba, Di Santo looked very impressive when he came on against Liverpool and i am astounded that he hasn't been given more oppertunities as a sub. No matter what situation we are in during a game the first sub made is always Belletti, when games are under control we should be looking to give players like Di Santo, Sinclair and Ivanovic playing time to show what they can do. Would be very dissapointed indeed if Sinclair and Di Santo are not starters tonight and i would at least expect to see Miroslav Stoch get a run out tonight to show what he can do at this level.
  18. From the talk out of the club it is going to be a very strong team put out, which is fair enough. Di Santo and Sinclair are both first team players so it would be nice to see them get a start, but with Drogba back in action Di Santo may miss out once again unless Scolari fancies playing 2 up top. Our squad is so small that there are not many changes that can be made, Ivanovic to come in, Bosingwa to maybe get a rest. Not much change we can do in midfield: ................................Cudicini................................. Ferreira..........Ivanovic........Terry..................Bridge .................................Mikel.................................... ....................Lampard..........Deco........................... Kalou........................Drogba.......................Sinclair Would be my guess for the starting line up.
  19. Absolute brilliant signing he is. Has made a huge impact since his arrival and i hope he can keep up the high standards.
  20. A excellant chance for us to give some players a chance to prove themselves this season. Starts for Ivanovic, Di Santo and Sinclair. Would also like to see Stoch get a start but i think he will more likely be on the bench. We will put out a strong side still and i am sure we will win this game.
  21. We are getting to a point with all the clubs around us moving to bigger and better stadiums that something is going to have to be done if we are to move forward as a club. But this has gone on for a very long time now.
  22. Our squad cannot be trimmed any more. We have a very good squad indeed. Ferreira is a possibility to leave though.
  23. Nah, we are nothing like Arsenal. Arsenal are inconsistant - we are top of the league, and top of our Champions League group. The problem is we are still a work in progress and can't be perfect all the time. People have jumped on the fact we conceded 3 against Roma but our defensive record this season has been outstanding.
  24. Can't appeal 2 yellows can you? Still hardly worth it, Deco could have had his second yellow before then anyway.
  25. Drogba hasn't had a chance to get going yet this season so it is impossible to judge where his head is at or at what sort of level he will play at this season.
