  1. Agree the shed has definately improved. Mostly to do with i think moving the away fans to there!! Also the MH lost out a little with the away fans being moved, banter with the away mob always helps with the atmosphere....
  2. Excellent for Sturridge to get a start, dissapointed to see him come off so early and especially for Drogba...
  3. It is important for us to win this game, we need to get some momentum going after the Villa loss and we want to get 100% in the Championsl league and take us 1 big towards qualification. I want to see Joe and Zhirkov seeing a bit more action now, they won't get match fit unless they play. And their abilities could be just what we need. Barring the set piece errors we didn't do much wrong against Villa and played some great football. More of the same tonight and more clinical finishing should be all we need to take home the 3 poitns.
  4. Thats a blow! Especially as a lot of the time Ivanovic has not looked as comfortable at right back...... Maybe bring Ferreira back in then?
  5. Just finished "The Stand" by Stephen King and about to start "Everythings Eventual" again by Stephen King...
  6. Very good performance. It is always very very hard to play one of the other big boys, but we worked hard and scored 2 good goals and kept them at bay very well indeed. Hopefully we will see the negativity dissapear for a while at least because we are looking very good this season. Always a joy to get one over the vermin.
  7. Do single trips abroad all the time for business. Dublin, Madrid, Malaga, Eindhoven, Amsterdam.... its a slog doing it in a day but you can get around and see enough in the time and if you book at the right time you can get your flights dirt cheap also..
  8. I wish i could say that i am suprised of a negative atmosphere after 1 loss and an average win, but i am not. Ancelotti is a top manager and we will continue to do well no matter what the negative people and the trash media want to say...
  9. Considering our communications and media relations are absolute shit i have no problem with the Spurs fan Greenberg leaving.....
  10. 5 players in the England U21's squad and 3 of them have been with us since a young age. Any of these media hacks who continue to write s**t about our academy can go f**k themselves because this shows the progress we are making here at Chelsea with our academy
  11. You are absolutely right. It is more than likely that Borini will be on loan next season, which is the right thing for him to do at his age, regular competitive football. Franco will hopefully be back and showing what he can do, this loan is a big test for him.
  12. He's not exactly prolific, it's just his goals are more memorable. My point is, rather than having a 30+ utility player who is very unlikely to get starts we should be using that squad place for someone young. If your talking goals comming off the bench then what about Stoch, Borini ect..??? We need to trust our youth. We have seen in one game alone (QPR) how we can trust our youth just as much as we can any squad player. I know he has gone now, but Ben Haim or Hutchinson? Pizarro or Borini??
  13. Name me 1 thing that is wrong with our youth academy? Gourlay is in charge of the business side of the club, most people will not know what it is he is actually doing.
  14. At the end of the day there is one way and one way only of telling if these lads are good enough, and that is to play them! Fabio Borini, he did very well on his debut so he has a very good chance of breaking through. Sam Hutchinson, fantastic game against QPR another with a very good shot. Michael Mancienne, hasn't looked out of place when he played. Scott Sinclair, has done OK, a little more to prove i feel. Miroslav Stoch, had a couple of very good appearances and would do a job for us. Players like Di Santo, Matic and Sturridge are different because they are brought in as first team squad members, they are expected already to do a job for the first team when needed. What we MUST remember with these young lads is that they don't HAVE to be world class. We have a squad! And in my opinion i would rather have someone like Jack Cork who is young enthusiastic and full of energy than a player like Belletti in our squad. We can produce for ourselves squad players as well as main stars. Right now we finally have a really really good group of youngsters who we can think about bringing through, at the moment a lot are on loan so players like Borini are getting a chance ahead of them, but their time will come. Bertrand, Cork, Van Aanholt, Stoch ect.. all have every chance of being part of our squad at some point.
  15. At the end of the day it was a poor poor game. And then as we were beginning to get something going we lose Cech to a red card! Just one of those games and hopefully it doesn't happen again, big game at the weekend to build up for now...
  16. Chelsea TV said he picked up a niggle, havn't heard anything since. A few silly roumers flying around of a bust up but i doubt it. Maybe in line to start with Anelka is the CL????
  17. Bitter old f**ker just can't help himself. On loan in league one.. yup he should have stayed at Leeds and played in?...... oh yeah, League 1!!!! Tom is impressing enough to move up a stage still.
  18. After a good rest period for many players i would like to see a confident performance here from the lads. The main question is, does Joe Cole start? I certainly hope so, a midfield of Essien, Ballack, Lampard and Cole would be very nice to see, would even love to see Zhirkov replace Ballack but i doubt Zhirkov will get a start.
  19. Excellent game, not the most comfortable but considering it was the Carling Cup and the team we put out i was very pleased indeed. Going through the team i thought Hilario had a fine game, very confident and comfortable with everything he dealt with. I thought the full backs Ferreira and Zhirkov were a weak link, beaten far too often and easily. With Zhirkov i hope it is a case of getting into things because he didn't look comfortable at all defensively, he will offer us far more in an attacking position. Ivanovic was very strong and had a solid game. Sam Hutchinson was outstanding in his first start and also playing at Centre back which i was pleasantly suprised to see, great debut from him, Hutchinson and Mancienne as first choice pairing in 5 years time? that i would love to see. Mikel had a very good first half and a sloppy second half, gave the ball away more than he should have. Belletti whilst he had a few good moments offered little especially in the first half, Malouda was solid as usual. It was just fantastic to see Joe Cole back and he did not dissapoint, excellent return and showed us why he is ideal for the tip of the diamond and it will be exciting to see him there with Drogs and Anelka ahead of him. Kalou and Borini worked a very good little partnership. Kalou got the goal which he took very well indeed and he was a constant threat, dropped very deep a lot of the time which didn't help and at other times should have released the ball when he kept hold of it. Borini played a full 90 which would have been great for him, and he did himself complete justice, didn't look out of place one bit and worked hard like we expect to see from him. Would have loved to see him bag a goal but it wasn't meant to be, he gets himself in some brilliant positions and in time he will get goals from always being in those positions. It wasn't toally comfotable but i was never really worried we would conceed. It was for me a perfect Carling Cup team and i hope we get to see more of it in the next rounds.
  20. Dosn't look like this game is going to even be available online tonight!!!! Chelsea TV showing it from 10:15pm, will watch it then i guess.
  21. There is a very real possibility of us starting with Borini and Hutchinson tonight which would be excellent to see. I also really hope that Matic will start, although he has only played 45 minutes of reserves football so i think it more likely he will be on the bench. I would love to see this team start tonight: ....................................Turnbull...................................... Hutchinson.........Ivanovic.......Terry....................Ferreira ......................................Mikel......................................... ......................Matic....................Zhirkov......................... ......................................J.Cole........................................ ...........................Kalou..............Borini............................. I would think that team would be good enough to beat QPR tonight and also give a start for Hutchinson and Borini which would be a huge step forward for us as a club.
  22. Gutted that Sturridge won't get to play. Feel sorry for the lad as it would have been a definate start for him. However it does mean the very real possibility that Borini may start instead, but we will see. It will be fantastic to see Joe back and also playing at the tip of the diamond. And to see Zhirkov in action will also be a treat.
  23. We could be putting out a very exciting team for different reasons in this game. Will be great to see Joe Cole and Ferreira back, also to see Zhirkov and possibly Matic in action. My team would be: ................................Turnbull.................................. Hutchinson.....Ivanovic........Terry...............Ferreira ..................................Mikel..................................... ..................Belletti..................Matic........................ .................................J.Cole.................................... ....................Borini..................Sturridge................. Although i think that Kalou will more than likely start in place of Borini and Lampard instead of Matic and i don't think Matic is quite ready (only played 45 reserve minutes so far) Either way it is an exciting prospect, also expect to see Bruma on the bench for this one too.
  24. Fantastic game, this performance was top class. Everyone played very well indeed. JT at the moment is just immense, the man for me is without doubt the best centre back in the world! Also the best captain, showed what he is all about when he immediately went up to Borini when he came on to give him words of encouragement. Was chuffed to bits seeing Borini come on, and he did OK, hopefully he can get more minutes on the pitch because he can offer us something for sure.
  25. This was always a total stitch up from FIFA. I said from the outset that this will be overturned and it most certainly will.... It was laughable that we was charged in the first place.
