Not sure than Mancienne would be what we need at our level in that role. Especially with more natural options in Mikel, Matic and Cork.

Clubs like Madrid, Arsenal and United will be fine, because this is all based on profit and not debt. Madrid, Arsenal and United have massive debts but still run at a profit. Whereas we have no debt but do not yet run a profit. Thats why he wants to bring this rule in because it protects the established clubs and effectively stops anyone ever breaking into the elite in European competition.

It doesn't mean that at all. First priority was to get Stoch regular first team competitive games. Stoch is playing at a high level. He will cope physically with the Premier League, and he will be given that test when the time comes, probably next season.
-
Lol, Mirolsav Stoch is already better than Wright-Phillips ever was....

Bos and Deco back in training

Bosingwa has been a massive loss in my opinion. I think you will see us cracking into another gear when he is back. If we could find another right back like him as back up we would be laughing, Ivanovic does a great job but just doesn't offer us the same going forward. -
Nemanja Matic the man to fill the holding role at Chelsea
EskWeston replied to EskWeston's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Matic is a lot more mobile than he looks, he is seen as a Ballack type player by a lot of people and i can certainly see why. But he could be very good in the holding role, Mikel was never taylor made for the holding role he was more attack minded. McEachran and Kaby would be completely wasted in the DM role, the only times they have played there it is to give them experience and more to their game, there will be zero intention of ever playing them in that position for real.. Yes for Jack Cork should definately get a crack at it, a player i like a lot and i think can grow into that role. Hopefully while he is back Ancelotti will see he is a worth a crack. -
Nemanja Matic the man to fill the holding role at Chelsea

Matic looks a class player, i thought he was initially brought in for the holding role, but in the reserves games he hasn't played there. I think he could do a very good job there, he is excellent on the ball and his passing is very good. Essien should be freed up from the holding role anyway, would like to see Cork given a go as i think he has a future with us still. McEachran and Kaby will be no-where near the holding the role, it just isn't what their game is about. Clifford ultimately will be better suited to a box to box Essien/Lampard type player. For me to have Mikel, Matic and Cork fighting out for the holding role will be good to see. Thing is will Ancelotti actually give Matic a go there during this period? I think maybe it could be too soon for him but i would like to see it. -
Carlo Ancelotti has identified Nemanja Matic as a player he can mould into a holding midfielder to solve one of Chelsea’s problem positions. Ancelotti has tried John Mikel Obi, Michael Eessien, Juliano Belletti and Michael Ballack in the role without total satisfaction and is now short of options with Obi and Essien at the Africa Cup of Nations. Matic, 21, has made rapid progress since signing from Slovak club MFK Kosice in the summer with a broken foot. And Chelsea sporting director Frank Arnesen said: ‘With his old club he was a box-to-box midfielder, but Carlo sees he can play the holding position. Source: Daily Mail

Anelka has been fantastic so far this season. As important as any of our players and playing with such confidence, it is great to see.

I think it would be hilarious to see Arsenal taken over by a wealthy owner, Wenger won't know what to do with himself without making himself look a total twat, which he does anyway. I do find it hilarious though that Wenger and UEFA seem to think it OK to have massive debts just as long as you show a profit. It is a coincidence that it just happens to help all of the big clubs, United, Arse, Pool, Madrid ect... and it would stop anyone breaking into the elite.

Lol, brilliant.... so the rule is, have as much debt as you want providing you run at a profit??? Just another way to keep the established clubs at the top. UEFA is so corrupt it is not even funny.

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club
EskWeston replied to .Cee's topic in Transfer Archives
A player like Aguero is definately the sort of player we should be looking to sign, a player who will be a huge star in world football. I can't see it happening in this window and who knows if we will sign him, but i for one would be very excited if we did sign him. -
Patrick Van Aanholt on loan at Coventry
EskWeston replied to EskWeston's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
Patrick has left Coventry and returned to Chelsea as it looks like he will be looked at for a first team appearance. A translated interview with Patrick can be found here: http://translate.google.com/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.sportweek.nl%2Fvoetbal%2F123820%2FVan_Aanholt_terug_bij_Chelsea_Hoop_mijn_debuut_te_maken&sl=auto&tl=en -
May not have been his desired position but i always thought he was good there...
-
I really want to see Stoch come back and be given a go. It is no suprise that he has gone to Holland and done very well indeed. He will continue to impress for the rest of the season and then it will be down to Carlo to give a go with our first team again.

Good to see Yuri play higher up the park. Definately where he is more usefull in my opinion and i think he could be a big influence there for us,

Sergio Aguero joins the other Manchester club

Interesting comments. Wouldn't be too suprised to see us strike a deal and loan him back for the rest of the season. Problem is wages though if all reports are to be believed, would love to see us sign Aguero though.. -
For practical reasons i want to avoid the 2 Milan teams, any of the others wouldn't be too bad at all..
-
Having Sturriddge back at this point is very good news as we will need him. Maybe a start with Drogs at the weekend will be good for him. This thing is that with Drogs gone in January we need a striker who will hold the ball up and Borini is the more natural at that role than Sturridge. But i am very happy to have Anelka, Borini and Sturridge during the ACN period.

I think Grant is talking out his backside, Roman wouldn't blame him for Terry missing the pen. Plus he gives himself a lot more credit than he deserves...
-
Didn't Ancelotti say that Kalou was fit now???
-
Worked out? He has barely worked out how to tie his laces up This has turned into an important match for us on the back of 4 games without a win, plus added that United have now caught us up although we have the game in hand. We need to see a professional concentrated performance tonight and hopefully a good few goals too...
