  1. The midfield is going to be very interesting once we have everyone fit. SWP has performed excellant in there and not for the first time either. Ballack has been back to his best and controlling the game and Mikel is becomming fast one of our more important players. So where do we put Lampard, Essien and Makelele???
  2. Very true, but we never stood a chance against Manure and the Arse game we deserved a lot more from too so i think there is something to take from those games still. I still think there are going to be one or 2 additions to the squad this window so we could be looking very strong for the rest of the season.
  3. Yup, Manure are by no means unbeatable. And at some stage they will get injuries to their key players, and they DO struggle without their key players as we have seen already. It could be a very exciting end to the season for us thats for sure.
  4. Of course, we was completely written off at one point. The most important factor in our chase for the title is that they still have to play each other and we have to play them both at the bridge. The gap could be closed up pretty sharpish, i think it will be Man you we are chasing more than Arsenal though.
  5. Absolutely, this title could go to any of the 3 teams and it will be a seriously close call come the end of the season. If we can make it through without our african players and without suffering any more serious injuries then we definately have a great shot of winning the league.
  6. Had an impressive debut thats for sure and looked to be able to fit in nicely. Now we need to see if he can keep that up and start banging the goals in, he was unlucky not to get one against Spurs.
  7. More than likely could happen if you ask me, but our players don't come back till later in Feb so i am not sure how this would work.
  8. If we are going to go for a right back there is only 1 we should be looking at - Alves
  9. A game we should definately be looking to walk away with all the points. For the first time in ages we have a weeks game until this game which is a big boost, it will give the players a chance to rest and re-charge their batteries and also it will give us a chance to see if we can get some more players back to fitness.
  10. An excellant game and performance thats for sure. It was good to have Maka back for this one thats for sure. Good to see SWP having another cracking game which for me goes to prove 2 things. Firstly that SWP is a lot better playing as the attacking midfielder in the centre and pretty all his best games have been played from there. And secondly it goes to show how much we need that sort of attacking midfielder in our team! A fantastic debut from Anelka i have to say. I could be eating humble pie for saying i didn't think he was right or good enough for us because he looked class in this game and settled right in no problems and was unlucky not to score.
  11. We are certainly looking good thats for sure, and i don't believe it would be possible for us to be doing any better than we are considering all the circumstances and i don't think anyone thought we would be. The Carling Cup looks like it could be comming home again and we are looking good for all the others too, taking one game at a time we have a good chance to make a success of this season still.
  12. Hmmm, i kinda like that shirt actually. Not bad at all. Right now is the exact time that the new designs will be out. The brands are putting their catalogues out for July time so the new shirts for next season will be in there, there is a very real chance that the pictures are real. I am waiting to see if i can get my hands on a pic of the new kit but the pictures are not always in the catalogues and are sent out separately. I will see if i can confirm this is the shirt.
  13. Mikel has grown with us into a fantastic player in such a short space of time, he is now vital to the way we play and building the attacks from the back. What we have to remember is that before he came to us his total playing experience was with the Nigeria youth team and some random club in Norway! He has then been chucked into the premier league. Mikel previously was always an attack minded player so the defensive side of the game, the breaking play up and being in the right places is not natural to him and he is clearly working on it. Also at his age players are always a bit rash with how they play and is to be expected. He is not dangerous or dirty but one who is learning his game and who is still very young.
  14. We already have. Aparently it is the work permit that we are waiting for, once that is done the announcement will be made. I think Monday is when it will be done...
  15. Would never have imagined Anelka in a Chelsea shirt 6 months ago...
  16. Bridge is better going forward thats for sure. Cole is a much much better defender. Which is why you will see Cole played for the bigger games and Bridge for the games where he will be able to bomb forward, it is the ideal combination to have and we are very lucky to have them both.
  17. Bridge is a top quality left back and is fondly remembered for "THAT" goal at Highbury. But Cole is a better left back for sure. Bridge against quality opposition gets caught out so much.
  18. He hasn't played in the Carling so yes he will be able to play in the Semi second leg and the final should we need him to.
  19. Aparently he is not cup tied for any competition which is good news.
  20. Smith won't make it, hasn't been able to take his standard up to the required level. May be given one more loan oppertunity before a descision is made to let him go.
  21. Plays all across the back 4 aparently, but i think his natural position is Centre Back..
  22. Yup couldn't agree more, and was incredibly obvious on Tuesday.
  23. Chelsea Football Club and Bolton Wanderers can confirm that terms have been agreed between the clubs for the transfer of Nicolas Anelka. Source: Chelsea FC
  24. Exactly, i think they will put him straight in to be honest. What have they got to lose, it will be interesting to see what he can bring to our team and what he can do with the chances presented to him.
  25. So does he start tommorow or does he only make the bench, the fact that he won't have had a training session will possibly mean the bench for him, but we need to have him on the pitch really.
