They may be owned by a lot of rich people but in real terms that doesn't mean they have anywhere near as much money to spend. For example the stakes each has in the club will determine how much they put in, and the fact that none of them fully own the place means none of them will go "all in"
-
Lol, says it all really doesn't it! £2m is too much for him!!!! He has been seriously accident prone and always liable to cock something up.
-
Well Man you do need a certain "type" of striker still, but it's not as if they are suffering without one. Although i think they will go for a more long term plan with a younger player like Huntelaar who they have already shown interest in rather than the older Berbatov.
-
Much like the Ivanovic deal, all the talk is the deal is done but no sign of the player yet!!!
-
Lol, Doyle!!! What the f**k has happened to our standards!! Anyone who scores a couple of goals in the premier league is suddenly deemed world class.....
-
Not really, Ivanovic looks mainly being centre back player, basically replacing Ben Haim. A long term upgrade is a must at right back sooner rather than later and there is none better at the moment than Alves so there is no reason not to sign the both of them... Personally i would much have Villa than either Anelka or Berbatov, the potential is far greater with Villa and the level is higher, the only thing that goes against him is this "proven premiership goalscorer" thing..... didn't work out with Sutton though did it
-
Absolutely, since his recovery from injury he has had plenty of game time. Not many teams would play a back up to Ashley Cole that much.
-
All the papers talking about it being a done deal but yet nothing from the club yet! Not sure what they are waiting for if it is done as much as the papers say. To have someone versatile enough to play across the back 4 is a huge advantage, and you can tell that he likes to get forward which is why he will be so comfortable as a full back...
-
Yup back at the club now. Will be unlikely to feature for the first team anytime soon though, his injury and then lack of form has put him back. Personally i think he was too rushed, U18's to Reserve team to Israel U21's to a first team apperance to an Israeli full national appearance all in one season was far too much for a 17 year old! He should have spent this season in the reserves getting himself settled properly especially as it was obvious at the end of last season he was rushed and it affected him. A step back is needed for him to move forward, he is still very young.

 Hoooraaaay, we don't have to give Grant credit for something... thank god for that!!!
-
We have just as good a chance as any at the moment, Man you and the Arse both have to come to the bridge still as well...
-
That may all well be the case, but we are doing very well at the moment especially considering all the injuries and we are most definately still in the title race....
-
Well no law suit that we know of. The press are hardly going to report on the back pages in large letters that they were wrong or have been sued.. And the fact that the articles are no longer available makes you think that they had to be taken down - damage already done though. Like FB said there are countless reasons for Jose's departure (although i can never understand why Arneson gets bundled in with it all the time)
-
Lol, this is all getting very complicated. I remember at the time that JT was going to get his lawyers on the case when those stories came out.
-
Lol, it is assumed to be true, but then because it is not proved to be true it could be said to be speculation. Then again because it is specualtion it could be said it is true, but the asumption is that it is not true.... clear?
-
Well there is no better place in the world for Bizarre speculation than Chelsea Football Club thats for sure
-
I dunno, there has been so much crap flying about about this story and that story. I knew that Barnett was banned for leaking to the press but i wasn't aware there was anything specific. I would have thought also that if it was true and he did leak a story that damaging then he would be sacked completely rather than just banned from the training ground.
-
Unless he was being paid for juicy tidbits and then he would have a reason to lie.....
-
How do you know it was true?
-
Wasn't it for leaking stories to the press????

As we enter the New Year, many of our players out on loan are returning to Stamford Bridge, with an important spell of first team football under their belts. Here we take a look at the players' involvement for their temporary clubs over the past couple of months. Since the last catch up in mid-November, Scott Sinclair completed his spell at Queens Park Rangers, and has returned to first team action with the Blues, starting against Liverpool in the Carling Cup, and coming on against Newcastle in the Premier League win last Saturday. Scott made nine appearances for the Hoops, scoring a header in the 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace in November. Also at Loftus Road were Ben Sahar and Michael Mancienne, with the former playing the last of his nine Rangers games in the 2-1 defeat to Palace in early December. The young forward struggled with injuries during his time there, while Mancienne has been a more regular figure. Mancienne has made 12 appearances in defence for Rangers, the last being in late November in a 3-1 defeat at Stoke. His loan deal continues until the end of the season, but is ineligible for Saturday's FA Cup tie with us at the Bridge. Elsewhere in the Championship, Jack Cork (pictured) returns from struggling Scunthorpe, who currently sit in the relegation zone. It is all been good experience for Cork though, who has been a regular since returning to the side in November after injury. He scored the Iron's goal in their 1-1 draw at Coventry, and in total made 17 appearances at Glanford Park. Jimmy Smith is another Chelsea prospect that has been plying his trade in the lower reaches of the Championship, but has seen results improve at Norwich City since new manager Glenn Roeder took charge. The Canaries are currently on a seven-game unbeaten run, of which Smith played in five, including a 1-0 win against Cork's Scunthorpe prior to Christmas. In League One, left-back Ryan Bertrand has impressed at Oldham Athletic, having made 24 appearances in all competitions for the Boundary Park club, including the 3-1 win at Leeds on New Year's Day, which will be his last. Anthony Grant has been a regular for Luton Town since his temporary move in November, but his progress has been hindered recently due to a red card at Bristol Rovers on Boxing Day. Before that game he had made four appearances, with the Hatters winning three and drawing one of those games. He will return to Chelsea on Saturday. In November, Adrian Pettigrew returned from his loan spell at Brentford in League Two, where he enjoyed a regular run in the first team, the last of his 14 appearances coming in a 1-1 FA Cup first round draw at Luton on November 10. Overseas, Phil Younghusband has helped Danish side Esbjerg FB into eighth place of the Danish Superligaen as they head into a winter break, while Khalid Boulahrouz has been in and out of the Sevilla side that has begun to recover from its poor early season form. In Italy, Hernan Crespo's Inter top the table after 17 games, and the Argentine has contributed two goals in his six league appearances. Source: Chelsea FC

It's the sort of signings you want to see us making to REALLY improve our squad. As we have seen there is never a guarentee that a player will be able to make it with us but the real quality is there with these players and there is no doubting that.
-
Lol, good for him. Just a shame he didn't manage to give the scrote a damn good kicking...
-
CL isn't main priority, if we have a chance to pick them up then we should take it. Villa has had a tough season but so has their whole team, the quality is still there in the player though.

Most of our "Ready" youngsters are out on loan. The only ones (other than Sinclair) who will possibly get a chance are Sahar and the more exceptional current reserves like Stoch, Bertrand, Hutchinson ect...
