  1. Lol, Will Ferrell a Chelsea fan.... I do like his films, very funny especially Anchorman, bloody hilarious. Old School another good one.
  2. Excellant business, suprised there hasn't been any movement on Pizarro though! To bring the attacking football that is aparently expected i still think there needs to be 1 more signing. Other than that our squad is perfect and will certainly take some beating this season..
  3. Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon is adamant that Robinho will not be leaving the Bernabeu to finance a move for Cristiano Ronaldo. Speculation has been rife that Robinho, who is a target of Chelsea, will be sold in order to raise the necessary funds for a record-breaking conclusion to Real's summer-long pursuit of Manchester United star Ronaldo. Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon has admitted his interest in Robinho and has announced the Blues are looking to make one more signing this summer. However, Calderon insists the Brazilian playmaker will not be moving to Stamford Bridge because Real already have the money to support any possible bid for Ronaldo. "Madrid don't need to raise funds to buy," Calderon told AS. "To sign Cristiano we don't need to sell anyone and even less so Robinho. It's not like that at all." Real manager Bernd Schuster has spoken of his desire to keep Robinho as the Primera Liga champions prepare to defend their crown and ready themselves for a challenge in the UEFA Champions League. And Calderon has revealed that Schuster believes Ronaldo and Robinho are capable of playing together in a successful team. "The coaches believe they (Ronaldo and Robinho) are compatible," added Calderon. "Schuster adores him (Robinho), his team-mates want him and last year he was very happy at the Bernabeu. "If he wasn't happy and wanted to leave we wouldn't fight to change his mind. But I don't think that's the case. "It's absurd to plan someone's transfer if they're happy and I firmly believe that." 4. Our squad was too big and we needed to clear some of the dead wood, but we have a very strong squad, 1 or 2 big signings to freshen up the place a little is needed most seasons, we have made 1 in Deco and there will probably be 1 more but Grant completely mis-used and mis-managed the squad last season. The Carling Cup and FA Cup being prime examples of that. He is just spouting of his bollocks in an attempt to get a club to take a punt on him! Does he believe his own hype?
  5. Can't see us letting go of Sheva and keeping Pizarro.... if we are letting go of Sheva i would think that means a striker will be comming in. Looked incredibly rusty yesterday, the ball was bouncing off him like he had ball repelant all over him Still only first game back for him though.
  6. Lol, lets hope so. We expected multiple changes with the Scolari arrival, so far only Sidwell and Maka out and Deco in.....
  7. I think it is more of a case that the players proved they can almost win trophies even with a complete tool in charge of the team. He didn't prove anything to anyone last season. Everyone knew what he was about
  8. Doing the same thing they always do, stockpiling too many players for the same position, Modric, Arshavin and Dos Santos all play in the same position. Bently, Lennon ect....
  9. It is crazy that Barton can still be playing at a premier league club after everything he has done. He has done it too many times now, and he will do it again. He is a thug who should not be allowed to play professional football...
  10. Now the Pre Season kicks into a higher gear. Scolari has said that he will start with virtually the team he will start with against Pompey, and only make a few subs during the game. So it will certainly be interesting to see who starts this game and who doesn't. A continuation of the type of football we have been playing will be good and also to see the defence properly tested out and put under a little pressure.
  11. A much tougher game for the lads this time, not least because of the very poor pitch. Still we played well and a lot of players impressed. It is another step towards being ready for the start of the season and the next 2 games will be a real test for Scolari's Chelsea. Deco had another fine game and it was a shame that sensational volley didn't fly in. Anelka once again looking sharp and in good form and Mikel looked very controled also. Another step up for us now though...
  12. Again? The silly sod must keep losing pieces to have had so many "final pieces"!!!
  13. Lol.... Was suprised how easily Spurs let go of Keane to be honest, and they are seemingly set to do the same with Berbatov! Still, would bring them about £50m to rebuild their strike force.
  14. My god that club is the most sickening thing on earth!!! Every f**ker who goes there has supported them their whole life..... They still won't be strong enough to challenge for the title. Keane and Torres will be a very good partnership though i am sure..
  15. The Russia games are going to be very interesting. The games so far have been great for allowing the players to get used to each other. Now we need to how they do under real pressure and against quality opposition. I expect Joe Cole and Kalou to hit some excellant form this season. So far there have been no poor performances in pre season, which for me shows how easy it has been for them so far.
  16. Of course there is that argument, but you should never stand still. Man you will strengthen still this summer after winning the 2 big ones. If 4-3-3 is the way we are going to play this season then Scolari really needs to have a good assesment of the players he has. He will learn more from the games in Russia thats for sure and also once the season starts..
  17. Good signing for the scousers, they are still strengthening in the wrong areas if you ask me to get them any closer to us and Man you.
  18. Well i hope he hasn't made that judgement on the back of the 2 pre season games. SWP was very inconsistant again in the last game.. time will tell what happens, but i will be extremely dissapointed if we don't upgrade our attacking options this summer.
  19. Which is why i think it will still happen, of course they will try their luck and try to get as much as they can, especially as it is Madrid we are talking about. Madrid have pissed him off by firstly offering him in exchange for Ronaldo and then sayign they will give him a new deal, one not as good as he wanted and only if they don't sign Ronaldo...... I still feel this one will happen eventually. Plenty of time left in the transfer window.
  20. Well Kalou is going to miss the start of the season so either Malouda or SWP will be starting. I honestly don't think there is any more to come from him! I still believe we will sign a big name winger, and it will be interesting to see what happens then, with the press reporting that both SWP and Malouda are in Scolari's plans.....
  21. I am not sure now if this team are going to offer any better oposition that the previous 2 games which is a bit of a worry, our pre season really needs to step up a gear or 2 now! I think Ballack is going to be able to play in this game and maybe Sheva will be clear to play also. Scott Sinclair has also been with the squad and could feature at some point, would be a good time for him to impress...
  22. Too late by then, we have gone long enough now without having the devestating impact players on the wing we need, the closest we have is Kalou with pace and ability to run at players but he seems to play better in a central role as a striker. We need big game players. Is SWP going to get any better? Did he look better in a poor Man City team? I just feel he has had enough time now, we need improvement there and SWP is the obvious casualty.
  23. Indeed it was. But still doesn't hide the fact that we are in desperate need of a world class winger. For me Scolari's comments do not mean that SWP will definately stay, he will certainly not in an interview ever say a player is leaving or not in his plans because you never know what can happen. At the end of day it is obvious that Scolari wants Robinho at the club, Scolari does not get involved with the negotiations so he will have in his mind who Robinho is to replace, it may be SWP it may be Malouda it could even be Drogba depending on what formation we are set to play next season. If Malouda does go then i would be happy to keep SWP and bring in a world class winger. BUT if it were a choice of Malouda and SWP to go then you have to say that Wright-Phillips has had enough chances now.
  24. Reports now saying that Madrid keep upping their asking price for Robinho. Although with Kenyon out in the far east i am sure that not many negotiations have taken place recently. Hopefully this will still go ahead, it would appear that Robinho is wanting to leave and come to us and Madrid are now just trying to see how much money they can get from us.
  25. Yeah but Gronks wouldn't get anywhere near our team now though! At the end of the day it would be a mistake for us to not sign a winger. If you polled fans at the end of last season what position we need to upgrade most it would be winger. Even in the Ghengdu game SWP was wasteful too many times. We know what we are getting from him and we know that it isn't good enough. We would seriously regret it if we did not bring in a world class winger this summer......
