  1. Aparently PSG are confirming on their website that he has signed for them....
  2. The thing with Scolari's quotes on Drogba so far is that he has fallen short everytime of confirming that Drogba will be staying, which may indicate as his agent insinuated last week that he may have not quite made his mind up yet.
  3. Personally i am excited to see what Di Santo can do playing with the first team. The lad has massive potential. Will be great to see Deco and Bosingwa playing for us in the Chelsea shirt too..
  4. Yup thats what i thought. When we officially confirm interest in a player then you know that we want that player. I really really hope we can push this deal through now, Robinho would be one hell of a fantastic signing.
  5. The monies mentioned was ridiculous, but Kaka is one hell of a player. My concern would have been where do we fit him in our team! We have more than enough world class players there already - it never made sense to me.
  6. True, it is better when things are kept quiet. I am just suprised that he wasn't mentioned as not travelling with the squad if he was leaving.
  7. Essien is a quality player and a quality professional too. His driving runs are fantastic to watch and hopefully we can see him continue his fantastic form into a new season under a new manager.
  8. Yup, Sheva, and Anelka and Drogba for that matter. All play better with a striker partner, it will be interesting to see if Scolari does give it a try playing 2 up top. Although like you said Sheva proved at times last season that he CAN play the lone role well enough, just not in the same way that Drogba does.
  9. Blimey, who old was he when he signed for us then!!! Best keeper in the world at 16 You can see the difference when Cech isn't playing, there is no one i would rather have in goal for us than Cech, lets hope he can avoid any injuries this time. He has come through enough now i think.
  10. Kenyon confirmed this morning that we have NOT made a bid for Kaka..
  11. So, did he have his medical? He isn't down on the list of players who didn't travel for Pre Season. What is the truth about Makelele.
  12. The Robinho saga has picked up pace some more now. There are quotes over the weekend attributed to Robinho claiming he wants to come to Chelsea. His agent has also said that Robinho has told Madrid he wants to leave. Finally Kenyon has this morning confirmed that we are interested in signing Robinho and that talks are ongoing with Madrid......
  13. Not sure what team we can expect to be put out! No confirmation yet of who has actually travelled on the trip, any youngsters ect... Hopefully it will be a good game and we can see some good performances out there and hopefully some goals too...
  14. Not if he is not fit to play he won't. Scolari claims that it will be 4 weeks before Drogba will be ready to play again.
  15. Cech is one or most important players, it would be near impossible to replace him. This is really good news for us. Cech for me is the best keeper in the world, and to have him tied down to another 5 years is great.
  16. Nothing confirmed by CFC yet, although they do like to announce 1 at a time to give the players their individual limelight. If true it is fantastic news, even though he signed a new contract not long ago the fact that Essien still wants to commit for another 5 years is always good news.
  17. When you look at the list of players left behind it does read like a "Who's off" list. However Drogba's knee injury has been very well documented and it very likely that is the reason he has been left behind. Unfortunately we are not any nearer knowing if he will stay or not.
  18. Well it looks like he will get his chance to impress in pre season, with Drogba and Pizarro staying behind that means that Sheva, Anelka and i assume Di Santo will be the players leading our line during Pre Season this year.
  19. Looks like Pizarro will be off shortly. CFC website confirming that he will not go on tour with the squad because of "injury".... although Sheva and Drogba have not been seen at training presumably because of injury but they are still going. Seems like he is deemed surplus to requirements and will be left behind to secure a move.
  20. The question is, is Moratti telling the truth? Has Frank told Inter he wants to move to them? If so he surely must have told Chelsea also.... If this is the case the club has the choice to make now!!
  21. nter chairman Massimo Moratti claims that number one target Frank Lampard has given the green light to move to Italy. The Nerazzurro supremo has admitted for the first time that the club have reached an agreement with the England international. Lampard has reportedly accepted the chance to reunite with former manager Jose Mourinho at the Giuseppe Meazza, news that will surely disappoint his numerous supporters. Nevertheless, Moratti understands patience is needed for Inter, as Chelsea could snub the offer and block the exit of their talismanic midfielder. "For the acquisition of Lampard we need to have patience,” Moratti told the club’s official website. “We have the player's approval but we have to respect Chelsea's rights. “His club has every right to keep him." 22. We have a fair few talented young midfielders in our ranks already, problem is there is no telling how long it will take for them to become established. How much of a part will Maka play this season if he stays? It would be good for us to keep players like Maka on as coaches once they finish playing, if we can do that with Maka then it will be a good move by the club.
  23. I agree, i think they will both be here next season. Lampard though, you do worry about the situation if he doesn't sign the contract on offer! Drogba i am sure would be happy to stay, hopefully he can get himself up for the new season and show us what he can really do again.
  24. With the silence at the moment on the transfer front i can't wait for this match to come around and see what Scolari has in mind. It will be nice to see the players back in action again under a new manager, and how they adapt to a new playing style and possibly formation.
  25. To be honest i doubt Drogba will get any worse reaction that he did a few seasons ago for seemingly little reason. Drogba is a player that divides opinion. He is no doubt a great player, but we know we can get more from him still. The question that we need answering really is, does he want to stay? If he doesn't is it worth holding onto him?
