luiz seemed beaten, battered and bruised in the last 15-20 minutes of the previous match. i would give him a well earned rest. play mikel/romeu alongside franky

but the point is what was your stand. u dint take a stand. u doubted what i said which i explained to you in DETAILED. you on the other hand have simply made vague statements, derailed the debate and stated things. u have neither contradicited me or told me WHY YOU THINK OTHERWISE.

you are absolutely right about arsenal and spurs, but i feel united would have pulled it off even without rvp. they almost did it last season. and they do it simply because they DO have a style of play of simply putting in balls in the box from almost anywhere till it goes in the net. but still there is a method to madness in united's play which has to be credited to the coach. my point had been that FSW should not be credited with the style of play we are playing right now simply because we were playing this way even under RDM, but we are defensively more sound under FSW.

chelsea is finishing a DISTANT 3rd. this is no acheivement. we were a close 2nd when RDM was sacked. plus let me tell u what position chelsea would be if we just counted the FSW's regime... 5th!!! shocking?? hell no. because for the most part of his regime we have been poor. infact the last month has been the only time when we have played good football and got decent results on a continous basis. are u seriously blaming RDM for finishing 6th last year?? first of all he took over in MARCH with most of the league done. our priority last year was CL not the league and it was pretty evident if you only saw the team we put up against arsenal at the emirates. or against pool at anfield. we should be worshipping RDM to take us to CL glory not cribbing about finishing 6th in the league when in the end it dint even matter. to give credit where its due. FSW has contributed to chelsea. he has made us far more organized than we were under RDM, shown us azpi's quality, luiz's play in the mid. but thats almost it. we are still totally reliant on mata/hazard/mata&hazard. i dont think the team's current performance has anything to do with FSW. we were playing this brand of football even under RDM. the only difference is that we are looking more fluid which is obvious because the longer u make MAZACAR play together, the better they ll get at knowing each other's game and they ll get better at combining. if the teams' perfoprmance was FSW's doing with his tactical and managerial brilliance, then we would play well no matter what, but the point is we look worse than a bottom table team when playing without mata&hazard. hence the team's performance is on the brilliance of 2-3 of our players and not the manager. also i seriously think RDM's sacking was utterly useless. chelsea were in a winter slump just like in the 2011-12 season, or in the 2010-11 season or in the 2009-10 season or any other season i can think of. we start playing shit in novemeber for some mysrical reason. but FSW's appointment just put the team under more pressure and simply slowed our comeback. as for the way we are playing right now, dont forget we ALWAYS finish STRONG. our history is our witness. this season has been very topsy-curvy but the jist of it is the same. i dont think u dont wish to argue further... i think u simply dont have anything to argue/counter with. also please dont derail conversations. this one started with me posting that "RDM had more knowledge/know-how about chelsea and its players" which u highly doubted so i told u why i thought so for 2 posts. on the other hand u have simply being implying that u know and see what any1 and almost eveyr1 here cant about FSW. so either give your input to the debate, put your point forward or simply ignore it. i would prefer u doing the latter thing but...

arsenal away, tottenham 4-2. suprising how people have forgotten those matches so quickly. if u ask me, our best match of the season HAS been TOTTENHAM away. also the point is, did he adapt? he tried playing with the conservative strategy of not playing mazacar and now even FSW did exactly what RDM was doin in the start of the season - play these guys almost every match. the only difference in their regime was that FSW actually got matches in which he could rotate the squad (EL matches, FA cup matches). under RDM we had to play the same team match after match because we were playing CL, were near the top of the table and even our one match in COC was united. also dont forget even while rotating the squad, FSW has screwed us over. not just one game, but 2 (qpr at home, so that he could play a "strong team" against southampton in FA cup and southampton away for united in FA cup, when he was clearly told just a few days ago that 4th place and the league was his NO.1 priority.

in the very simple and basic way that while RDM put in MAZACAR since his first match this season, FSW (due to his excellent knowledge of the game) was very skeptical of this and we rarely saw the 3 maestros playing together. remember how much moses was preferred over oscar in FSW's early days (not saying moses is bad but he aint no oscar). as soon as he put in MAZACAR back together we have been playing well. seondly oscar's position. wonder why RDM never played him on the wings, to the point of even sacrificing mata on the wings. another BIG reason that i feel RDM was way more accustomed to these players than FSW can EVER be. MOST importantly, RDM might not be a special one but i dont remember him putting him bad subs match after match. not saying that he never got a call wrong, but the point that FSW has screwed us over so mant times with his team selection (like choosing torres over BA to play at anfield when even by his rotation policy, it should have been BA who should have started, wait scratch that, BY ANY MEASURE it should have been BA who should have started) and what do i say about his brilliant subs. so did u get to know?

really? 3664 minutes for 20 goals for torres, compared to 6 IMPORTANT GOALS WHICH ACTUALLY COUNT AND AGAINST DECENT/GOOD OPPOSITION in 843 minutes. plus these are just stats. i wont care if torres had scored 1 goal in all the season if he has actually added something to us and played welll. most of the games he plays, it feels we are playing with 10 men. is it such a suprise that our league form has improved miles since january? NO. the simple reason being that when we had to play torres in EL, FA cups, BA playing in PL has made us better. and that is what matters.

how? why? what do u see when you watch a football match? did you watch the united game. BA was in vidic's face every bloody minute and every bloody second. he might not have won even 40% of the long balls but just his making the defenders work counts a lot. his hold up play is brilliant and infinite times better than the ladyboy you think is better than him. the fact that BA has scored 2 BRILLIANT AND AWESOME goals against the MANCHESTER clubs tells us about his quality. when was the last time torres scores against a proper top flight english club? all he has done is score against pub clubs like brentford and europa league clubs. how any1 in the world can say "If I had to rate their seasons, I think if I was generous I would give Torres a 7. A 6 is the highest I'd give Ba." is beyond me.

away wins at arsenal and tottenham. the way we toyed with pool for 60 odd minutes before suarez pushed rambo to score. under RDM we were having a bad phase like in almost evry other winter. the juventus game was bad. he gambled and lost the plot but i can safely say this RDM HAD FAR MORE KNOWLEDGE OF WHAT HE WAS DOING AND WANTED TO DO WITH THIS CHELSEA SQUAD THAN FSW EVER WILL.

torres was not missing chances because he was lying on the ground for the whole match, doing absolutely nothin... every chelsea fan that i was watching the match with wanted torres off so i dont know y u r saying no one called for ba to come on. plus even if we had got BA on 84th minute, it meant our chances of scoring would have increased exponentially...

this team would end up getting creamed in my opinion.
-
has he actually even played? i remember being ridiculed on this thread why i said that loaning him to malaga would be a mistake and he would probably get more chance with us in EL than with them. i mean i think even ake would have got as much playing time as piazon since his move.
-
what was the obvious reason? our finishing, right? then bring on the best striker we have in our squad in place of a useless one. the next reason would be lack of energy from midfield, lamps should have come on in place of rambo. it might not be as black and white as i state but one of the main reason why we dint win yesterday was that torres was there for 90 minuted, no way should torres have played 90 mins yesterday. and in no way should yossi have been on the pitch. as simple as that.

cech azpi cahill JT bert lamps mikel MAZACAR BA. have to play mazacar. simply cant afford to take any chance at all what so ever. luiz, ramires need a rest.
-
the point is if he had the guts to take off torres and put on BA even in the 60th minute, we could and WOULD have closed the game. how many times did torres lose the ball with a poor pass or just ran into a defender. not left or right, just simply ran into him and then asked the ref for a foul!!! rambo looked shattered in the 2nd half. for the first time that i have seen rambo play, it seemed he was really tired, why not get lamps on... the point is that his 86th minute substitution did cost us the match because he dint make the proper substitution earlier. we are battered , bruised and tired and the least we should be doing is getting players off the pitch who seem to be losing it to get fresher players on. so i will say that benitez's substitution at the right time (or rather lack of it) and his substitutions in general cost us the match.

he gets the credit when we are winning then y give him no stick when we draw a game because of his worthless subs. how could torres not have come off? why take oscar off when he was having one of his best games in a chelsea shirt. the amount of space tottenham were giving to us just outside their own box was unrealistic. put lamps in for oscar to try and take advantage. this manager seems to be so in love with 4-2-3-1 that he wont change that formantion even if we needed to whole on for 5 minutes in a CL final.

what a performance by OSCAR!!! simply brilliant. he was the focal point of our attack today. started the counters, made the incisive passes, just absolutely BRILLIANT. 2 very good goals by spuds though to piss me off but awesome fight from the team to dominate the spuds with 10 bloody men. (was torres actually playing). great goal by rambo but gave the ball away too many times. HAZARD and MATA were brilliant too. MOSES provided what he could in counters but the yossi substitution (still cant get my head around why he would make that sub, i mean y??? what use could he possibly be?) TORRES was my MOTM. what a performance, infact after watching such a performance i got a simple idea to earn some dough. just put a bet with any of the useless whore's fans to give a pound every time torres loses a ball. i could have been a bloosy millionaire if i had thought of it at the start of season. the defence was solid and not much that could have been done about both the goals. maybe cahillcould have closed adebayor down but he was probably worries about lennon's run behind him. anyways a decent result. still need a win or atleast 2 draws out of the last 2 games because i simply cant see tottenham and arsenal winning all 4 of their games (combined).

SHIT SHIT SHIT... this news is worse than torres signing a 5 year extension... i simply knew that the JOSE to CHELSEA thing was going too smoothly and without any problems, it was just too good to happen... everything's gonna get screwed now... anyways a great coach, and a true legend. things he has done with united are unbelievable. GOODBYE SAF. -
