seriously??? without torres and just add any bloody striker in this world we would still have won the europa league, scratch that we would not have even been in the europa league in the first place. and secondly 5th in PL. seriously? the way city played this season we could easily have been 2nd, we would have won the club world cup and the only reason we dint win or atleast take the game to extra-time was torres missing a sitter, there is another couple of million. these stats are total bullshit because if we dint have torres, we would have had lukaku/sturridge/DD/falcao and dont prove a single thing. otherwise u wanna know mata's worth for chelsea. take out all his assists and goals and lets see where we stand then.

marin was 21 when he was called to national team. i am sure he was not labelled as "injury prone" at that point of time. he was called to the national team because they saw "potential" which marin has not yet stood upto. schurlle is 22, to be honest i dont think he has the potential to become a great winger, hence simply dont see the point of spending 20 million on him. real madrid seem to be off-loading di maria, he would be a much better buy for that kind of money.

actually i remember very well his first match against (i dont remember which team) but i do remember that germany were 4-0 up in their group stage match when marin was subbed in. he was good, created a few chances which cacau missed. i dont think he got another match in that tournament.

cant understand why people are complaining about him. he gave us exactly what we expected off him. few excellent performances before AFCON, some good performances and a lot of average ones. a perfect squad player infact considering the number of CUP goals he has scored,assisted and his performance especially in the europa league, i have to say that he has had a GOOD FIRST SEASON.

marin was in the 2010 world squad for germany. being called for a national side does not mean he is a great player.

he is not that good when played defensively. moyes tried playing him as a cdm and it simply dint work out very well. in everton he has thrived mostly in the role behind the striker and that too mainly because of his aerial prowess.also that position is anyways done and dusted for us (mata/oscar/kdb). defensively i feel he is just a little better than mikel and wont provide the much needed assistance in attack that we need to break down defences. wont be a good buy.

precisely. just because we got 3rd does not mean he has done a GOOD JOB. it means he has barely done the job which should not have been so difficult.

last night showed his true quality. i always used to defend mikel but after watching an 18 year old play the way this guy did, got to admit that mikeljust is not good enough for us.

schurlle's work rate is the only thing he has got on sturridge and probably a bit of pace too. except for that sturridge is a much better player(finishing, shooting, dribbling, positional play). as for the work rate argument, you have to give danny the benefit of doubt because he is a striker not a winger. similarly a striker being selfish can be forgiven but not a winger. anyways my reluctancy for buying schurlle is because we need some1 to directly take the pressure off mazacar. schurlle seems to be some1 who would need time to be drafted into the team, would need a season or 2 to get find his feet in PL. not what we need right now.
