sturridge was 14 games on the bench before torres got a red against united. do u actually think he had got a fair chance. do u remember the game against WBA. he started on the wing. mata had not started so we were piss poor. torres went off, mata came in and danny went as a striker. in the next 20 mins danny made more chances for himself than torres has made this whole season just thru his runs. he played just the way a striker does. we might have brought MAZACAR for a nice build up play but dont forget that the finisher is still as important if not more important than the build up play. cant u see this is exactly what is wrong with barca. they have all the players to CREATE a play and none of them to FINISH it. sturridge is a proper striker. he is selfish, he can go past players, he can shoot from 30 yards out and when u compare it to our current pool of players, he would have been a perfect fit simply because he gives us that extra dimension upfront. also honestly i cant say that our style of play does not suit danny because we dint give him a chance to prove/disprove that.

HAPPY BDAY LUKAKU... the beast turns 20 today... very important transfer window for him. fir me he is ready to play in the blue shirt as a 2nd striker. loaning him would be a waste of time for me. HE is ready, so use him. HIS first touches, right leg can be improved in the cobham itself. we ll play 38 PL matches+ 3-4 CARLING CUP +FA CUP matches + UCL matches... he ll ghet a lot of oppurtunities to prove his mettle and his worth here being the 2nd striker.

forget him dude... its the same thing with him over and over again. if danny scores, he is probably the first one on this thread and just waiting/daring for any1 to post anything. and if by any chance, some poor sap does say "danny played well, i think we made a mistake selling him", then he gets his big guns out " how long are we going to moan for him" " we got 12 mil, the club did awesome business" bla bla blah... he is also the guy who called rambo "an idiot" and who is probably the happiest person in the world whenever lamps has a bad game . my advice - let him be.

did we have time to praise sturridge? half a season and all i remember of him playing is the united carling cup match (in which he scored), reading match (we were down 2-1 and sturridge made an instant impact) or the WBA game in which he started as a winger and we dint have an attack all the game but in the last 20 minutes made great runs to get into one on one positions but dint convert the chances. so all i can say is we lost a brilliant striker who in an year or so would be rated at 25-30 mil in 12 mil but kept torres who has not scored in PL since... i seriously cant remember,,,

keep torres. sold sturridge,anelka; let go off DD and kalou and loaned LUKAKU. our board deserves a pat on the back for this decision..

talking about double standards on here, lets take the 2 scenarios of this game and the last game. tottenham - torres was hopeless (dint make the sub), rambo and luiz hopelessly tired (dint change). when it was suggested that the changes should have been made at the 60-70 minute mark, people said it was only a case of IFS and it was barely FSW's mistake. villa - makes the most obvious EARLY change to benefit us because of which the match changes - so he should be given the whole credit. in short i will give him the credit to today's game if he owns up to the screw up of tottenham match.

y end it? i am sure lamps will be delighted with the record but he would not even be satidfied with our season. all throughout the season he jas continously shown us exactly how much more he has to offer the club. there is simply no reason we should let lamps go.

i am sure there would be "only" one of those guys here who has absolutely no other "place to be"...
