NOW, he is playing like EDEN - fucking - HAZARD should. brilliant in both the games (against cardiff, schalke). hope he can make clichy/kolarov his bitch and score a couple.

big match and the our first big match at home. against all the big teams so far (united,, tottenham, bayern) we have defended and tried to counter. will be interesting to see how jose sets us up to play against the team which has been a real nightmare for us in the past seasons. also some of the selections he has to make would get him a lot of stick if it does not work. the striker position (after torres' performance tonight and etoo performance in general), the 3rd AM (mata has not set things on fire + he has not had his best games against city while schurlle and willian have been more than good and definitely better than mata for the wing spot). the CB spot in one where i have no doubt who jose plays - cahill+terry. they have been brilliant together and cahill deserves his chance. for me the starting 11 would be exactly the same as today's (schalke match) except for etoo for torres + bertrand for azpi (azpi dint reallt look comfortable to me on the left flank). hope for a good performance and a great result as city must be tired after their russian trip (and hopefully an unsuccessful one).

brilliant performance. we got an early goal, sat back and tried to counter whenever possible. brilliant tactics by jose and brilliant execution by the players. we have looked so dangerous on counters and not just against teams like norwich, cardiff , schalke but even against bayern. just goes on to show the work being put up in the team. cech - ANOTHER brilliant performance. the operational word here is ANOTHER. i mean to rate him is a little difficult cos he is never below a 8. keep it up PETR. 9/10 iva - to be honest, after his weekend antics i was a little worried of how he ll perform against draxler and i wanted azpi to start over him. but a solid performance. probably was at mistake at one point where he was dragged away so easily by aogo while he let draxler run directly at the defence. except for that dont remember any thing that he did wrong. 7.5/10 cahill + terry - i dont see the point of ranking the cbs individually when both were so good and solid. cahill+terry has been our BEST CB partnership this season. any1 who denies it must be blind. they complement each other brilliantly, both are solid at the back, good in the air. would definitely be my starting CBs against city on sunday. 8.5/10 azpi - got himself into some awkward position as his clearing today was poor by his left foot. but a good performance none the less. some great blocks. 7.5/10 ramires - THE BOSS!!! where does he get his reserves of running from. just brilliant. even though he has to work on his first touches a little. plenty of times in the first half he started the counter and was central to every counter that was happenin in the first half but due to his poor first touches, we lost the ball or the schalke defence/mid cleared. nonetheless, good game. 8/10 lamps - decent game. a proper CDM performance. played well but i feel in such matches when the long ball is not going to do the trick or is not required, mikel would be a better player. but we will need his vision and long balls against city. would be interesting how he copes with silva and toure. 7/10 hazard - what a PERFORMANCE!!! those 2 touches which led to the 2nd goal. ORGASMIC!!! overall play was fantastic, and his workrate was immense. covered aogo runs most of the times. perfect match by him. him+terry in the center of the defence has been like a wall for us.

Luiz has had the same problem since the day he came to cfc. this is not a nothing thing with luiz. this is not a worry about his "form" which i feel is perfectly alright. i dont even know what exactly to name/call luiz's problem. his problem is definitely not his attitude/passion (which in fact is great). the closest i can come to is his concentration. or simply put his brain-fart. and this problem of his was in 2011 and the all the way to the date. ps - please read my posts with "TOMO". you would know how exactly i rate luiz. infact that is the worst part of luiz. knowing how well he can play but actually watching him play the way he is doing right now.

we have been linked with plenty on CBs over the transfer windows and even now. plus just like the mata rumors i would think there must be some truth in even the luiz rumors. anyways the only difference between the 2 of us is - u r happy with the way luiz performs and things like " Luiz is rated highly by our manager and will continue to play a lot." meanwhile i will be happy when luiz actually fulfils his immense potential, and starts playing every match like a WC defender.

oh the irony... anyways dont wanna get involved in another te-te-te with another luiz fan. so good luck.

united? when chicha owned him so many times that its embarassing. moreover how do people forget the 2010-11 match against united at OT when if we had won, we could have won the title. but our title challenge stood for about 30 seconds there courtesy of luiz.

with city playing negredo-aguero silva fernandinho yaya nasri in yesterday's game plus having an away game in moscow where the same 6 have to start and then the same against us... i feel we have the advantage over them next week.

with 6 schalke first team players out, i feel only they should be panicking...

presonally i feel iva is a much better CB than RB. no pace, never closes down the crosses. but he has the perfect mould for a strong CB. also luiz looked good. strong tackler and more impressively had a nice read of the game which impressed me the most when he played as a CDM. anyways it seems we dont agree on anything at all.

luiz was poor in the start of the season. atleast until november u wuld have said that he has had a pretty average season. it was after rafa's appointment that he shot up. and it was majorly his performances in the mid that caught the eye. i still remember that our best combo last season was azpi-cahill-iva-cole rambo-luiz i remember people hoping for this line-up to start. goes on to say a lot about luiz and his best position. now dont get me wrong, i feel luiz is a wonderful player. his ball winning, on the ball runs and passes are simply something that no CB in the world can have. but are these enough to compensate his lapses in concentration. also again, i am being so critical cos i have read some very exagerating remarks about luiz in the thread. luiz will be our no1 defender and our captain and so on and so forth.

over-hyping and over-rating and over crtitisizing are a part of the game. look at ozil. he was playing better for RM than he is at the moment but hearing the media, u ll think he has gone up a couple of notches. the point is luiz does things to make himself a target again and again. also i seriously think he has to prove that he can lead the defence. he had a hopeless start to the last season and then a wonderful season where he majorly played in the mid. now after coming back to the defence, he has had some very poor moments this season.

alan hensen, and countless number of pundits and fans. but well i think every1 is wrong in the head since we think luiz is a liabilty. as for neville, i remember him saying in the start of the last season that "david_luiz_plays_as_though__controlled_by_a_10-year-old_on_a_playstation" u want me to name luiz's defensive errors when u cant even see how bad he screwed up against everton for the goal. i mean i get what cech was doing - initiating a counter. i get where rambo went wrong - could not control the ball. now what was luiz doing - tries to close down barkley with mikel and schurlle already on him, and then is ball watching leaving jt and iva exposed. also now u want to compare bosingwa to luiz? bosingwa was not supposed to be the future captain. he was nots supposed to lead our line in a year or 2 at max. luiz is, right now. and he is not doing himself any favors.

so how much do u think they would ask for subotic? do u actually think a defender would cost that much? the costliest defender currently is rio to united and then silva to psg. do u think luiz comes in that league? subotic would have been 20mil. or 25 mil max. that is still 10mil pounds saved plus a better "defender"

since u are so adamant in thinking that luiz does not make silly stupid mistakes, i cant say any thing further. their is a reason he was so good last season, cos he dint play in defence. he is a liability and just like hansen said in motd, he would cost us many points if we continue with him. their is a reason why luiz's defensive mistakes are so talked about by critics and media over any mistake cahill, terry, iva, vidic etc make. and the reason is that their are so many of them.

20 mil for subotic would do the treat then. to think they would demand 35 mil for subotic is exagerattion. they sold gotze to their biggest and only league rivals in munich for 37 mil.
