  1. dont understand the bashing we are getting here. it was a professional performance. we did what was expected of us , and that is to get a WIN. or would people like us to play as good as we did against stoke but end up losing the game. after being a goal up, the onus was on bucuresti to do the attacking and press us for the ball, they dint and we dint need to do anything else than keep the ball among ourselves. so what the hell are people cribbing about? its time for some fans to really grow up!!! schwarzer - dint have anything to do for about 80 odd minutes until bucuresti atlast had a shot on goal. still he should keep the GK spot for the next match. 7/10 iva - good performance. a couple of times he made a brilliant dash down the right only for willian to ignore him and once hazard put him thru but it was too wide for his liking. defensively it was a flawless performance. 8/10 DL-JT - brilliant performance from the 2 CBs. luiz was phenomenol. dint try anything fancy with the ball, but still put in more useful/critical balls than FL and Mikel combined, i think. defensively, too i think he was brilliant. booted everything out of the way if he was in 10% doubt and i just hope he can keep this up. JT was his usual self. 9/10 cole - had a lot to prove in this match, and i feel he did. start of the first half, he felt a little dodgy and slow and almost got caught on the ball in our own D, but i feel it was a decent performance. could have done better on a couple of occasions inside the bucuresti box. 7.5/10 mikel - horrendous. was he sleep-walking. his only role in the team would be to shield the back 4 and not give the bloody ball away when in possession but he did none of the 2. a woeful performance from our only recognized DM in the squad. high-time for a change. we need a DM in winter. no doubt. 3/10 lamps - nothing flashy. bucuresti were too deep and we in genral had no penetration for lamps to make his trademark late runs and effect the game. so attackingly he was simply left to taking 30 yard shots. defensively he was okay, put in some crunching tackles and sliding tackles. 6/10 hazard - tried hard but was double-tripled marked the enitre match. just get a feeling that he plays best with mata on the pitch. 7/10 oscar- seemed off the pace in the first half but that would be acceptable. but good closing down off the ball, good defensive work but again, those balls to break down defences from our main AM missing. 6/10 willian - the only forward/midfielder who was having an effect on the match. very dynamic, great on the ball, brilliant forward runs and movement too, but just his decision making was a little skeptical. 8/10 BA - got a goal but overall poor performance. but i would take that one goal ahead of torres' workrate and blah blah blah... could have so easily got a hat-trick. that ball from willian to find him 2 yards from the goal was orgasminc but at the same time, the miss gave me a de-erection. dint win aerial duels too and after watching DD play for GALA and again effecting the match from a mere head down of the ball. just shows u the poor-quality of strikers we have. unfortunately there is no immediate remedy and solving the problem of the mid should be our forst concern. 6/10 subs - schurrle - was okay. a bit direct but the other 10 men around him barely wanted to play so even he gave up. 6/10 rambo - does what he does best. hope mikel can learn a few things from this guy. 7/10 kdb - felt he was great in the 12-13 minuted he got. that change of play from the left wing to find hazard on the right wing was just OH MY GOD!!! some of his runs were great too. dont think he will get game time in the next match but just hope he can rip sunderland apart in the COC. 8/10
  2. agree with everything u said except for the last part. i feel willian was brillint last night. especially in the first half when oscar seemed a little off-pace and hazard was getting double or tripled marked. willian was dynamic, poppong up everywhere, chased the ball down brilliantly on a number of occasions and if his decision making in and around the box had been a little better, he could have had a couple of assists easy.
  3. if we cant beat galatasaray, then why the emoions??? we can face gala, olympiacos, zenit, leverkusen, milan. if u r so scared of gala tell me who would u want? milan? leverkusen? zenit in russia? olympioacos and gala are the best options (with all due respect) and considering the teams we can face, your pessimism is laughable.,
  4. why not??? think about the reception DD would get and the emotions...
  5. i just hope that JT does not fall down on the pitch due to tiredness...
  6. 5-0 win for the youth team... the only team in the competition to have a 100% record... phenomenol...
  7. it is written in the stars!!! DD will comeback to the BRIDGE but this time as an opponent!!! galatasaray vs chelsea in the next round!!!
  8. azpi is a full back, and by that i hope he knows how to defend and after watching him play for a month as a LB, i would not say, he cant play there. infact if u ask azpi himself, he ll say he had a bad match instead of childishly pin-pointing that he was played out of position against sir jonathan walters. so yes, wow indeed!!! JT, DL might be 5 times the player and i dont need to pay attention to the transfer market to know that. or do people like u really think andy carrol is worth 35mil!!! the defence was most solid when GC-JT. take schalke matches or man city matches or infact any match before these 2 matches. conceding 3 goals from set-pieces was not because GC-JT were not solid, the first goal against stoke was not conceded cos GC-JT were not solid. our defence has been most solid with GC-JT, stats prove that, our win% proves that and just 1 poor performance at the back would not take away performances like the ones against schalke (h&a), city, basel etc etc...
  9. what a load of bullshit!!!! conceding 3 goals in consecutive matches against the bottom feeders CAN NOT be one man's fault. conceding one goal due lapse of concentration against cardiff at home was one man's fault. every goal conceded can by analysed 100 different ways and by ifs anf buts u can literally prove that every player was at fault as the player could have been in a better position. take for instance the 2nd goal conceded. walters fouls (?) azpi, JT leaves his position to cover for azpi, leaves ireland to be covered by mikel, crouch to be covered by GC. when the ball is played into ureland, GC was doing exactly that, covering crouch, mikel could not cover ireland and we concede. for u and other luiz lovers, GC must have taken the responsibility and tried to intercept the ball or something. hence the pin-pointing is useless cos, the goals we are conceding are team mistakes and not just the result of one man's brain fart. all the other bull-shit u have written about ball-playing defenders has nothing to do with what i said, but infact just simply proves my point. luiz-lovers would go to any extent to defend him and put down GC cos they know JT is untouchable and critisizing him would be like commiting suicide. so all u guys decide to make mincemeat of GC. that is all there is to this. ps - azpi plays brilliantly against schalke (2 legs), does well in the same position for the last 5 or so league games, and all is well and dandy, but has one poor game and instead of saying that he actually had a poor game, u have the nerve of saying " that's on Mourinho I guess"... oh, the double standards!!!
  10. whoever think that "he is not ready" should just get their brains scanned.
  11. he can do us a massive favor today. MASSIVE. if arsenal win they will be 7 points clear off us before playing city and us in consecutive matches. worst case scenrio for them would be , still top of the table with 1 point. and that will be a big pyschological advantage. hope he can continue DD's legacy.
  12. GC could have done better for the 1st goal but so could have so many other players. and that is not the main point. azpilicueta had a horrendous match. he literally got owned by walters (walters for fuck sake). but no one, NOT A SINGLE PERSON has even made post/comment/quote on his thread. and now look at GC's thread, he is the new scape-goat, specially for all the luiz-fans and that troll henrique, who inspite of what might happen on the match find a way to blame GC. and that is what bothers me. GC had a bad match but he was as bad as JT/iva and better than azpi. if u want to pin-point mistakes and single out one fellow for the defeat and 3 goals that we have conceded, then do it at the team, not just GC.
  13. a lot depends on lukaku today. i hope everton can can draw today. arsenal have sme tough fixtures coming up, but going into the consecutive matches against city and chelsea with 7 points ahead will be a big pyschological advantage.
  14. very true. he should have gone onto block ireland's shot with crouch running behind him and iva playing him on. also somehow mikel and azpi's positioning does not get into the picture at all but GC's mistake is the sole reason.
  15. we need rotation. our players looked tired, hopelessly so. the backline definitely needs a rest. schwarzer bertrand cahill luiz cole mikel lamps willian oscar schurrle torres. get a win and dont rely on the schalke score please.
  16. so today was cahill's fault??? ohh he must have pulled cech 6 yards out of position and made etoo lose balls in great positions which made stoke counter.
  17. once again, free flowing football is not equal to good football and wins. chances come and go, and we had to pay for all those missed oppurtunities. on the other hand, we made one mistake and stoke made us pay. some very poor football from the defenders especially in the first half, and probably the first time and jose's subs worked against him than for him. cech - for me cech cost us the game. stoke were beyond poor and dint have a sniff but that hopeless, horrendous decision to come for the ball and then get caught in the no man's land gave them exactly what they wanted. its not the 1st time this season that cech has screwed up. a look in for schwarzer. 3/10 azpi - very poor. got owned by walters. every time stoke attacked down the left flank, it seemed they would score. probably one of his worst performances. 4/10 JT - was probably the only defender who could say, "i dint screw up". even though even he let stoke players turn him inside out a couple of times. definitely needs a rest. 7/10 GC - had a brilliant first half and then everything went downhill. crouch was his man in the corners. could have and should have done better for the 1st and 2nd goal. 5/10 iva - let assaidi go inside him very easily. crossing was poor and was almost a brake to our free flowing football whenever the ball went on the right wing and touched his feet. tried to create something by going inside muniesa but simply ended up losing the ball. 6/10 rambo - should have scored atleast one, could have scored 3. poor finishing and another player who looked fatigued at the end of the match. need a rest. kdb in the pivot against bucuresti. 6/10 mikel - was quite good today. dint let stoke have a sniff for 42 minutes. broke endless attacks and even did his share in the attack. was very suprised when he came off. poor decision by mou. 8/10 schurrle - the only positive of today. from the 1st minute it looked like he would score. workrate was out-of-the-world. if only his shot hitting the bar had gone in. 9/10 mata - brilliant link-up play. central to some phenomenal football. its not suprising that we have played some smooth football when he is on the pitch. but somehow we tend to concede more too. 8/10 hazard- was not involved in the goals but had a good match. his final delivery could have been better a couple of times. and why he dint take a shot another couple of times is beyond me. 8/10 torres - should have scored. those 2 hazard thru balls may have a little late in coming but anyone of rooney, rvp, aguero, negredo would have scored. his instinct if finished. 6/10 subs - BA - very uninfluential. could not pose a real threat to the stoke goal. 5/10 lamps - was decent when he came on. linked up well with mata and hazard to create half chances but sadly we could not take any. 7/10 etoo- abysmall. what a poor decision to take him on and take schurrle off. jose got it hopelessly wrong. 2/10 in the end, it was the fair result. if u dont take your chances at this level of football, u will end up miserable. well played to STOKE, though!!!
  18. i hope this does not become another global embarassment.
  19. jose is the manager. he has set his philosophy but it is on the players to actually implement it. or am i supposed to believe that every1 will workhard cos jose in the manager? i dint see that happening against basel or newcastle. for me, torres worked hard, did everthing right except for his main job (hence the 6 out of 10). i am not making any excuses for him missing his chances but i wont take away the positive he is giving to the team.
  20. what excuse!!! he missed a sitter, did i deny that??? read what i wrote for torres again. but missing sitter does not take away everything else from what he did on the night, just like it dint do so on the night against city. only difference was he played a very similar low cross, schurrle made the right run and scored, today hazard dint. and then against city he got lucky due to his workrate and got a goal, today it was not so.
  21. ba did more cos he was not playing to break down a defence. the chances were coming thick and fast and we should be converting such chances to make our lives a little easier. on the other hand, torres' workrate was good. i remember the moment when willian lost the ball on the wing and torres covered for him and then even after being on the ground tried to put in a tackle. as i said to @younameit, his link up play was decent. torres could easily have finished with 2 goals and 1 assist (the low cross).
  22. i dont do the obvious things. the guy played out of the world today. anything less than 10/10 is a slap on his face.
  23. the table is really starting to take shape now.
