we were over-run, out played by BM. we needed 10 men behind the ball, but does that change how we were set up to play??? do u know how , i actually dont have a word to describe, u sound??? a lot of things can happen differently on the pitch. we even got outplayed in a match by brentford and even in that match needed 10 men to defend. does that change how we set our selves to play in that match. being defensive is DIFFERENT, than saying that chelsea used a formation of 10-0-0. just like our main argument of 4-2-3-1 turning into a 4-3-3 cos mikel/rambo/lamps are not able to feed the ball to the AMs, hence oscar/mata have to come deep into our own half to get the ball. does that change what formation we play? NO. get it????? ii m not a regular at the bluemoon forum so forgive me if i think some chelsea fan would even like to go there. LOL
-
chelsea played a 4-2-3-1 formation in the CL final but it was a defensive 4-2-3-1 with the 2 pivot players almost as deep as the CBs, the 2 wide players, trying to support the full backs and with only mata and DD trying to push ahead with the ball. your knowledge is at asenine level. i say what i speak. i am no glory nunter like u who likes to trend the forum of the team that is winning. keep trolling.
-
just cos i dint say that gustavo played DM does not mean i dint know. i ONLY TALKED ABOUT THE FINAL not the whole season. what an ass!!! your undeerstandign of the game is tremondous, continue trolling... cos i cant understand how some1 being a chelsea fan cant see how deep exactly lamps is playing and what role he has this season. If anyone is their cam with silva out, its Nasri. by the way this was your statement a few posts before. as i said, continue trolling

amen to that bro...

watch atleast one match and then quote me dude. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5cUg4N4k9OM this is the highlights of the city-united game, watch it, tell me where nasri is playing, on the left or central and if u still think its central, then go and kill urself. also atleast get your bloody stats right before simply saying whatever comes to your mind. negredo has 10 starts and 4 subs appearances in the league in 15 matches. http://espnfc.com/team/squad/_/id/382/league/eng.1/manchester-city?cc=4716 LAMPS is the shield. but he is not mikel or maka. a shield does not mean that all u have to do in 90 minutes of the match is simply guard the back-4. for eg - in the bayern vs chelsea CL final that was played, bastian-kroos played in the pivot with robben-muller-ribery ahed of them, and in that pivot kroos played the box-to-box role where as bastian played the DM role, but that dint mean that bastian dint involve himself in the attack.
-
i dint mean it that way dude. the guy who i quoted was saying that lamps does the running while rambo simply acts as a shield. i just countered him. and hope all your calculations are right.
-
as much as i would like to ged rid of him, i seriously doubt if it condusive to do so. whoever we buy in his place would be cup-tied for the CL games which means we would have only rambo-lamps pivot for the CL nights. essien is finished, mvg is injured and we truly dont have an option but to keep him till the end of the season so as to atleast have an option of having a DM in CL except for rambo-lamps. also i think the first one to be shown the door should be essien. he can be let go, bring in pogba/bender(s)/witsel to play in the PL while hope lamps can do the job in CL.
-
when rambo and lamps play together it is ALWAYS rambo who does the running and lamps who acts as a shield. for eg- the man city game where rambo was the far more mobile one compared to lamps who just put in tacles. what u r saying is the exact opposite and is making no sense what so ever. for city it is -------fernandinho------------ ---------------------yaya------------ navas---------aguero----------nasri ----------negredo---------------
-
i would take leverkusen (not cos they are 3rd in bundesliga but cos of the way they performed against united) ahead of zenit. a round trip to russia always result in dropping of points in the league. for me olympiacos are the best option, then gala, then kusen, zenit and milan (in that order). and considering we would have DD playing at SB again, i would not mind gala one bit.
-
all u have said is the same thing but just ina different way. i just explained to u why lamps and oscar play on the same line a lot of time. also, city lines up as 4-2-3-1 with aguero playing behinf negredo rather than along side him. also ther have been matches where fernandinho has been involved ina lot of attcking. for eg - norwich, spurs, whu, etc. he is been called a "flop" so far cos he has been un-influential in defence and attack specially when compared to some1 like toure.
-
no, i am not missing your point, but u r missing mine. u cant compare how chelsea play against sunderland, stoke and then extrapolate that to see where we would lie in among the top teams. those are big nights, with players giving more than their 100%, trying to put their best efforts. as i said before if u want to compare how we will fare against the top teams, then use our matches against them as an example. we were not among the best in 2012 too, but that dint stop us from winning the CL.
-
why RM? i feel they have the weakest defence among all the 8 seeded teams. as much as i have seen RM, they dont have a play and just realy on the wingers getting maximum purchase against the full-backs. i really doubt that RM is as strong as people make them out to be. in all honesty, ATM are a much better team than them.
-
chelsea vs gala united vs schalke bayern vs milan barca vs city real vs arsenal (ozil effect) ATM vs leverkusen PSG vs zenit BVB vs olympiacos quarter-finalists: chelsea, united, bayern, city, arsenal, ATM, PSG, BVB.
-
to be fair to united, they wee aweomse on the night.
-
first things first, i dont think we were lucky. the amount of half chances we had, if we were lucky we would have scored 3 atleast. i would like to see chelsea playing awesome football and all that but not if it directly interferes with our result. we are playing a 35 year old CM as a DM and his partner in the pivot was mikel who was hopeless last night. when we play the free-flowing game, our midfield tends to lose control of the match and we tend to concede some goals. yesterday was not a match to take any chances. it was to get back to the basics and just win. as for top teams, we played one name in that list and literally gave them hell. we were 1 scond away from beating them. the difference in class is not much. infact i feel the only difference would be in consistency rather than the actual class.
-
full throttle like whu, soton, stoke game!!! that would be full throttle attacking performances. LOL!!! well this is the difference between us. u have a guideline of nots that chelsea should do (erratic passing, struggling to penetrate etc)... while i just wanted us to get back to winning ways after the energy sapping match against stoke.
-
so citeh = WIN, arsenal = WIN. chelsea's main obejective is not to get fans convinced about themselves. we are joined 2nd in PL, topped the group in CL, QF of COC and we would have played a lot of good teams on the way to get where we are. last night, there was just one person who dint play well - MIKEL. rest put in average performance. tell me one reason why we should have gone full throttle in this match. we have arsenal, pool, swansea, soton in this month but u want our players to complicate things by trying to attack and score 5 goals or somethin. infact i dont even know what u want out of this team. like i said, last night all i wanted was a WIN, to top the group, clean sheet, and i got all of that with relative ease. i feel this team would go into every match with some expectations and tactics and all of them worked well last night.
-
strong teams like city? arsenal? well we won both our matches and we wiped the floor with schalke who were our main opponents in the group stage. so what are u cribbing about? the doctor ordered a win, winning the group and a clean sheet. i saw all the 3 things happening, unfortunately people need to find fault in everything.
-
its not like all we are doing is putting in unconvincing wins. whu - 3-0, one of the best performances this season soton - 3-1, should be 3-0 without the first 10 seconds and another brilliant performance. sunderland - 4-3, brilliant attacking display countered with hopeless set-piece liability. stoke - 2-3, brilliant football but hopless defending. after recent performances, we needed a steady display rather than a flamboyant one. after conceding 6 goals to 2 of the worst attacking teams in the PL, we needed to go back to the basics and do what was need-ful. this match was exactly what the doctor ordered.
-
maybe, but for me the MAIN thing is a win. no one is going to remember how we played against stoke in 2 weeks' time, the only thing people will remember is we lost 3-2 against a team who had scored 6 goal in 7 home matches before this (i think). december is a hectic time, u need a few games like last night's where u can literally sail thru. this game was exactly that. so on the whole, i am not going to compain one bit about last night.
-
the worst thing now is, we cant buy a good DM who is not cup-tied in CL. (witsel/benders/pogba).
-
ribery deserves it this year, how has messi even made the 3 man shortlist after being injured 4 out of 9 months of football this year is beyond me. zlantan deserved the nomination.
-
was flawless last night. had a brilliant game. hope he can continue this.
-
the team would have a couple of suprises no matter what. but this would be mine schwarze iva DL JT cole lamps rambo willian oscar hazard BA any1 who expects a cake-walk is going to be in for a suprise. its a TONY pULIS side and palace have anyways earned 10 points in their last 5 game and have won 3 off the last 4 games. i expect a hard fought 2-1/3-1 win. ps - schurrle would be the first player in the history to get "dropped" after scoring 2 phenomenol goals...
-
bro, we are very much playing a 4-2-3-1. the reason oscar is sometime on the same level as lamps is cos lamps-mikel more often than not are unable to provide any service to our 3 AMs. so oscar has to come deep to retrieve the ball and start an attack. also playing 4-2-3-1 does not mean the 2 cant go ahead. look at city for instance, yaya and fernandinho are almost as high up as nasri/navas, yet they are the deep midfielders. so our base formation IS 4-2-3-1 and definitely not a 4-3-3.
