probably for the same reason Oscar starts every game over RLC. the fact that they are "big names" or "big money signing" or something. but it surely has no relation to their ability whatsoever.

i have to disagree. teams ARE and will continue to target cesc. why wont they? he WILL lose possession when pressed. he is our only option to find a proper goal scoring oppurtunity specialy with the way hazard has been playing. why would teams sit deep and let cesc play thru them rather than nullifying our most potent (however shit that be) attacking option and infact turning it into a liability. whats gus going to do? teach him how to keep possession? he played with the masters of keeping possession (xavi and iniesta) and learned NOTHING. as for finding a system. by the team he finds one, it would be time for him to go off again.

i doubt any PL team sans villa, sunderland would sit deep against us. look at how bournemouth, watford, palace (at SB), soton all played. even newcastle. they all pressed cesc from the word go. i remember that palace game, cabaye owned cesc. i am sure all the teams with any quality would do that (which is present in PL). and cesc to become passenger match after match, which has already been happening.

not just the goal, but the overall performance of RLC was brilliant. on the ball, he looks comfortable. that turn was awesome. his movement is also very good. i dont get all that shit that he does not work hard. compared to the likes of oscar and pedro, RLC should be getting more if not as much playing time as those "big money" signings. kenedy was good too. ramires is a good B2B player. if you play him as a destroyer and curb his runs, then you are using him in the worst possible way. oscar and pedro were SHIT. cesc "ran" the show in the 1st half but as soon as scunthorpe started pressing in the 2nd half, he became shite again. dont know what happened to begovic's kicks. zouma needs a partner who can run (so not JT) and someone who can defend well (so not GC). all in all, happy with the result and the 2nd half performance.

totally agree except for the price tag. 50mil pounds + isco. sterling went for 50 mil in this day and age. the market is simply crazy. 65 mil for him would be a steal. sell him and buy someone with real balls and a good attitude.

how many failed loans did affelay and krkic have? they were considered to be the best young talents in their times. this loan system is a very tricky thing and there can be a number of reasons of why a loan can fail. a B team will always face some problems. never getting many oppurtunities to play together, lack of as much quality. but these are perfect matches for them to show if they belong with us. again, my question remains the same, what is the point of the squad and youth system if we cant trust the best youth system in the world in the past 5 years to get any chance against a league one side.

there in lies the problem. you are the manager and just spent millions on getting wickham who is also you future compared to a striker of similar abilities who has no future. bamford not getting a start has nothing to do with his ability. bogdan made a howler, and while i agree that liverpool were lucky to g let a draw with not even their B team but an U-21 team, we are talking about our B team here at the bridge. we are talking about some of the most highly talked about prospects like RLC and musonda and some very good talents like baba, kenedy, traore, musonda. whats the point of having a youth system and 25 players in the squad when you are scared to start ANY of them under ANY circumstances. we are 15th in the league and these guys cant buy a start and now in a cup competition against a team which is 2 leagues below and at our home stadium, we still cant give them a game.

kalas put in a worldie against suarez and then could not get into the koln first team. not everyone can fit everywhere. bamford showed his quality last season in the championship. also, if we are actually shipping off falcao, then bamford is a good option to keep. lastly, pool literally played a reserves team and still got a draw. dont see why we cant play baba, kenedy, traore, RLC, bamford with very good players like azpi, bego, zouma, ramires. its the minimum we should be doiing.

fair enough on Papy, but have to massively disagree on your assessment of bamford.
