fair enough. kenedy or baba. even though, I don't want to see any more players out of position. as for easing baba in. I have to disagree. now or rather, 2 months ago was not the time to think about the long term effect of the bad game on baba. we needed wins. we needed points and most importantly we needed CHANGE. I have been crying for it since the city game. its not just hindsight that talking. we should have played/trusted baba more. look at zouma. he was average at best last season. he has been quite good this season. he is still making mistakes and will continue for a year or so until he gets the required experience, but atleast we are progressing in the right direction with him as one half of our CB. jose "easing" zouma in, dint mean that he absolutely stopped making mistakes.

no, the point was that you thought, I dint know the HG rule. the point was that you thought we had no leeway and that the like of kenedy, zouma, baba, traore did not qualify for U-21s which would have made a completely different scenrario. every top team in PL (if we can be considered that any longer), will be "close to the threshold". the point is that we seem to be the best in that. city have only 8 HG/U21 players, arsenal have 10. add to that the likes of papy (who I think has already been sacrificed from the CL squad), we have a lot of leeway. 4 players is not a small number. if by some miracle those 4 players are bale, isco, pogba and stones, we might actually have some hope of getting top 4 (I know that's about a 300mil pound kitty and something which is NEVER going to happen) but I am just giving a for instance here. so saying that the board's hand are tied because of the HG rule is simply WRONG. read the first post regarding the HG - rule where I called you out. I give a for instance of just replacing aina with ricardo rodriguez which you completely ignored because of my "apparent" lack of knowledge regarding the HG rule. we need 2 FBs, we need 2 CMs, we need a striker by the start of the next season. the point I have been trying to make is that we need to start somewhere. getting a quality LB like gaya or rodriguez will only help us. something the board is totally neglecting and rather focusing on giving iva a contract.

Amelia was registered as a 3rd goal keeper AFTER tibo had a long term injury. if we want to buy reus and bale and gaya. we can easily do that by giving Amelia's spot to blackman since we will be registering our squad again. and even if we take Amelia and atsu into account (atsu, so our board is willing to waste a spot on atsu but not on a proper quality AM), we still have one spot left. and that is what I have been saying. we are literally in no bother with the HG rule. we can easily twist and turn our squad in anyway (upto 3 players, 3 quality players) to get the needed. hope u get that now? ps - look at city. they have 4 HG players - hart, clichy, delph, wright along with 4 U-19 players or however u want to "term" it - sterling, Roberts, maffeo, iheanacho. that's a spot of bother. if they buy another non HG player, they cant register that player without throwing one of their current non HG players out. we already have a leeway of 3 players and along with that we have the likes of Papy who can simply not be registered. so is short, NO. we don't have any problem considering the HG rule.

I guess they select the line up on the fifa rating or something. every game, we put out our "best team". that's the only explanation.

first of all, we have plenty of HG/U19 players: begovic, blackman, zouma (u-19),GC,JT, aina, RLC, cesc, kenedy, traore that's 10 HG/U-19 players. and I don't think that except for aina, any of those would be getting replaced. and then there are players like papy and falcao who can be replaced by jake-Clarke-salter and bamford, since I don't see them contributing ANYTHING to the club whatsoever. so I have no clue what problem we have with the HG quota. secondly, whats the probability that we DO get a good manager like pep or simeone. whats the probavility that even if we do get them, we would give them the players we want rather than getting papy and Michael hector. we have both supported the club long enough to know that here, the manager does not address the issue, the board does. I feel we are going down the Liverpool way. this could have been the moment to make a massive decision for the club. for eg - we could have gone all out for a FB, say ricardo rodriguez. rather we seem to be giving ivanovic a bloody contract extension.

the results and performances beg to differ. also, they are humans. who seem to err. just more than most of the other managers in the world.
