  1. and here we start with the "arrogant" talk. so was sturridge, right? how is that treating us!!!! also, he just scored a hat-trick in the last match i think for belgium. so really, i think he is concentrating on the WC as much as he should.
  2. LUKAKU - "I had trouble shitting yesterday, so i think i will leave CFC" (#sarcasticmail - for idiots who believe everything they read on the internet)
  3. a perfect analysis of his time at barca!!!
  4. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2306352/Chelsea-sign-Brazilian-woman-play-FA-WSL--Ester-Aparecida-dos-Santos.html thanks....
  5. 32 of his goals have come in PL in 74 appearances. a very good return for any striker. he is the 3rd highest goal scorer in PL in the last 2 seasons. or rather in terms of minutes, he has played 4766 minutes to score his 32 goals which is 149 minutes per goal (which includes his 10 appearances for chelsea too) rooney's 44 goals in PL came in 132 appeareances. 2002-03 :1610 2003-04: 2442 2004-05: 2182 2005-06: 3072 an overall of 9306 minutes for 42 goals (since his last 2 goals may have come in 06-07 season where he turned 21) at an average of 221 minutes per goal. the stat even for PL is as good as it gets for romelu. for messi 2004-05 : 82 (1) 2005-06 : 909 (6) 2006-07 : 1995 (14) 2007-08 : 1998 (10) 2008-09: 2513 (23) which means a total of 54 goals in 7497 minutes at an average of 139 minutes per goal which is better than lukaku's 149 minutes per goal but since the comparision is with the world's best player, we can probably give him that leeway. lukaku has performed at every stage that he has been given. he has scored goals and played well whenever called upon. saying "most of his goals were in the belgian league" is a slap to his acheivement. ENJOY!!!!
  6. what was wrong in what he said!!!!! at over-reaction...
  7. link? provide a proper link to the video or the words he said.
  8. atleast when i derail the thread, it is still with chelsea talk!!!!
  9. i understand its not!!! but most of the players on that list are deadwood to us. and they WILL be sold. marin, moses, kakuta, mikel, bertrand, ba/torres these wont be a part of our team next season or barely any part. coming to lukaku. age is at his side. stats are at his side. do we even have a better 2nd striker at this moment than him? hell NOO. infact since the costa deal is not official, we dont have a single better striker than him. with the biggest competition in the world to start in 5 days, the minimum any sane person would do is atleast take a look at how he performs in the world cup. there is no reason for anyone to believeabout anything. infact if you believe all the tabloids, we are looking to seel hazard, oscar, lukaku, etc etc etc... this is a simple case of media paranoia.
  10. why not? kdb's mentality was the problem. he dint fight it out for his spot the way he should have. i can understand why. when u r one of the most sought after star in the world, u tend to believe that u will be an automatic starter. he was not. not even close. a lot of it has to go down to the player's mentality and what team he was playing for!!! like u said "could not handle the pressure" why? cos there is a massive difference playing for bremen and chelsea. or even bremen and everton for that matter.
  11. "as yet" "does not SEEM" "IF the right offer" why u should not believe? those should be your reasons. i mean give me something concrete and we will talk.
  12. precisely. perfect analogy. plus think how much more time he would have got on the pitch if everton were in EL.
  13. fine. agree to disagree then. but still cant understand how SOTON. as for bundesliga, kevin was the STAR their. look what happened to him here. the big club experience needs to be given to the youngsters. u cant expect them to be the alpha men in their teams and then join CHELSEA directly and try to play it out here.
  14. i know. thats why i said its not "JUST" about playing. it is about finding that middle road. everton seems to be the perfect team for that.
  15. its about finding a balance between those 2. not just about playing time or playing with great players. it is the middle road.
  16. dude, its not just about playing. its about being and surrounded by better players. training with them. learning from them. if "playing time" was the only criteria of "developing" a player than the situation would have been way different. its about how well he can handle the pressure, the comptetition. also a PL loan is a must if he has to have a future with us. he is already 21 and with no PL experience.
  17. thats a little weird. you would want thorgan to play in a weaker league rather than "weaker" teams in cup competitions! i just think more than playing time, sometimes playing at the HIGHEST level is more important. he can go to zulte and be the biggest fish in a small pond but he can learn way more playing with in everton, and with better players. plus i really think he would get decent playing time in everton.
  18. so our starting 11 last season normally had 6 defenders. some people are just....
  19. u actually think he ll get 30-35 games at SOTON. even without lallana he would have ramirez, do prado and ward prowse to deal with. not to mention, the new buys that soton will buy after earning close to 50mil from lallana and shaw. and its not just weaker oppostion, he will get to have european experience which is as important.
  20. i dont think so. he ll get plenty of oppurtunities. i expect eveton to reach round of 16/QF which is 10-12 games. plus FA and Carling cup... and a odd game here and there in PL. good enough oppurtunities.
  21. dude. first i just slightly disagreed not i full blown disagree. cesc is anything but a winner. i am sorry but this was the guy that was supposed to take barca forward. he was going to be their backbone and spine for the coming future. a direct replacement of xavi. they sold thiago for him. in his 3 years there, he might have won trophies but he individually has set barca back atleast a couple of years. in his 3 years, he has won 1 LA liga and 1 copa del ray compared to 2 la ligas and 2 CLs and 1 copa del ray in the 3 years before that. he has played the "biggest matches" but like the CL semis against us or the quarters against ATM or last year's fiasco against bayern, he has more often than not, done NOTHING. infact his mentality, and his no balls nature where he tends to go AWOL in almost every big match is one of his MAJOR CONS.
