well, in that you must be watching some different game than the ones most of us on here are watching. and i am not blaming costa for cesc's performances. infact, cesc's performances in the last 2 games have been wonderful and costa's performances in the last 2 games have been worse. but cesc is our most creative player (unfortunately) and costa's poor movement is hampering our most creative player's most potent weapon.

i can prove for a fact that costa missed some sitters. easy to say ruddy made a save. fact is that a 32million striker playing for chelsea should be scoring that. and a couple more of those chances. that is what sets the teams and average players apart from great teams and players. and i would put my house and everything i have on suarez, lewa and kun to score those. any of those 3 would have got a hat-trick. and the fact is that u cant disprove me.

i am not changing the subject. i specified EXACTLY that not only is his movement in the box shit, his overall movement and positioning has been shit. everywhere on the pitch. the fact that 99% of the fans say the same thing should be an indicator of it. how many and how often, does he make those runs. definitely not enough for a striker who is more of a hindrance than anything else, he should be concentrating on doing something right.

or maybe it keeps the defenders busy and looking over their shoulder instead of having no outlet ever. and that is exactly what has been happening. our wingers our reaching the by-line, only for there to be no one in the box to put in a cross. willian has put in countless number of near post crosses only for costa to be standing stupidly at the edge of the box. also, for a striker who hates to spend time in the box, i would atleast expect that striker to be good with the ball. costa is not. he cant create, he cant shoot from outside the box, and he does not want to be in the box. get the problem?

you could have put solanke/bamford on the pitch and they would have scored as many if not more goals than costa did that day. getting the winner against norwich was the least he could do. and yes, he is a liability these days. we can replace him with falcao and just get better.

so according to you, its cesc's, hazard's, willian's oscar's, matic's, pedro's and everyone else's fault that costa has been shit? also, the important word here is "few". he should not be making a few or rather (to be precise) a couple of runs behind the defence. he should be doing that all day long instead of doing god knows what on the wings or in the midfield. and before you say "service", we have been providing him with "service", its his positioning and his movement which have been awful. not just inside the box but pretty much all over the pitch.

i think this is where we are wrong. we need 2 good strikers to compete with each other. no longer have an alpha striker whose name is carved in stone for our starting 11. lukaku could have been an option but we stupidly sold him. we need another good striker like lacazette/auba who can challenge costa as well as provide something different. on the other hand, if he again EVER plays the way he played in the 2nd half, we should fucking reserve him.

Nope. You misunderstood me.I would rather prefer Costa Hazard - mata- William Matic-Cm Than the current scenario. Cesc was mainly bought for "creativity" which mata is much better at. And if we sold mata for 37 mil, we bought cesc for 30mil. And for me, it was a much worse deal. Mata as a Cam for us is a totally different scenario than mata as a RW in United.

Hell, I remember a moment when Sturridge gave an interview saying "I can be a 20 goal striker". Some of us said it was true and people humiliated us. Same goes with Bertrand. I remember saying Bertrand was a good LB and should have been give. A chance only for TOPTB to say that ake was as good and Bertrand will always be a relegation to mid table team player. Not fair. Courtois is considered one of the best or to be precise the 2nd best Gk in the world behind neuer (correctly) by most on here. Hazard was considered as the world's 3rd best player by most (including me). With that tag comes a LOT of expectations. Hazard hAs been poor (not just average) for the majority of the season. So people were going to be disappointed. So I think our players get due recognition from our fans. And due criticism too. As far as kdb And lukaku are concerned, I think they are given so much appreciation cos of 1 thing - Jose. Jose's antics have cost us 2 very good players. Lukaku is developing as most of here expected him to and at an age of 22, he is already a very good striker. He is better than our current no.2 and no.3. And he is at costa' level or not much far behind. In the current form, he is looking way better. And then comes the curious case of Oscar. The lesser said the better about this sAga. His blind faith in Oscar has cost us not only mata but kdb too. I mean not just the fact that we lost kdb who most of us knew was already better than Oscar but the fact that a lot of us or at least me never rated Oscar much. I never got the hype surrounding him. An average player having consistency issues, creativity issues, passing issues, ball retention issues. I mean did Jose and our fans really delude themselves into believing that he would have a "hazard-like development". That "Oscar just needs a pre-season to become a world class player"? Some of the excuses for Oscar were downright laughable. So I don't think it's related to the players but simply another way of "rightly" criticisiZing Jose.

Very harsh in my opinion.And during the match there was a moment when he dribbled the ball past 2/3 barca players ran into some more traffic, shielded the ball with around 4 players around him and still was able to retain the ball and pass it on. No one in our team has one-tenth his technical ability except for hazard (obviously). He is a much better player than James but obviously the price tag has defined their places in the first team. Lastly, Madrid has always looked better with him in the team than bale but again, the price tag in the key element here

You seem surprised by that. Why is that? I mean honestly that is All he has ever done. Also I love the tag line "give him service and he will score". So will Suarez, aguero, Lewa, benzem a, higuain, lacazatte and infact any professional striker on this world. I mean give chicharito service and he has proven that he can score for fun.
