oh great!!! oscar is still on the pitch!!

i am not happy with willian's performance but we have much bigger problems as of now. matic and cesc providing 0 cover to the defence. the defence getting owned by sissoko and cabella. oscar forgetting how to play football. costa' lack/loss of confidence. by now. i know that willian is not the most creative player but more of a work horse. and he is atleast doing that and giving his 100%. others like oscar should be benched for a month for that performance.

any player would get time to regain his confidence and rhythm if and only if he is good enough. a player who is getting subbed at HTs wont. lets be fair, jose is the best manager in the world. you think he does know that playing the same eleven match after match and midweek after weekend after midweek is going to cause problems later on. for me, this just shows how little faith he has in players like schurrle and that he thinks that schurrle wont be the best for the team. also, my argument. when i showed the amount of time he has had on the pitch, was that his contribution has been so less than it can easily be replaced.

if you read my other posts, i have reiterated that we should buy reus/lavezzi/cuadrado to replace him. the moses/marin comparision was to show how poor he has been. also, i really dont think he is that better than moses. moses is erratic, and poor in the final (almost as if his brain get short circuited in the final third), but he has shown that his gameis actually quite good. schurrle on the other hand is a goal scorer (normally) but seems to be pretty average on his overall game. even defensively he has shown to be a massive liability. we are fighting for the title, you think schurrle will get a "time" to improve. hell he cant even get 60 minutes, he has been so poor that he has to be subbed off at HT. buying lavezzi/cuadrado and especially reus will only better the team and squad. and selling schurrle for 30mil is hardly a poor decision especially since how poor he has been. right now, even the idea of going towards the end of the season with title on the line and on the other hand CL semis/quarete finals in mid week and having schurrle as the main back sends a chill through my spine.

thats the definition of a squad player. schurrle is not going to get any major gametime any time soon. his next start might be the fa cup game but definitely not tomorrow or swans or city or even the pool semis. so we just keep him around cos he has potential and may come good at some point of time? "when you are only given the time to play one game here, one there and not being able to get any game time going, you are bound to struggle for form." you think this situation is going to change for him anytime soon? i dont. the problem is still there. despite having "numbers", we dont really have any "depth" we are not replacing hazard/matic here. we are replacing schurrle who has played a total of 920 minutes scoring 4 goals and giving 0 assits. whats more, we would have a 30mil budget along with anything we want to add to it. we'll be just fine.

"AT HIS BEST" is operational here. no one is denying his "potential" but its been 1 and a half years. he should not be struggling this way. if anything, he should be helping us winning games rather than getting subbed off at HT. we were not linked with salah/willian. infact both of them were almost "done deals" to pool and spurs respectively. if we want a replacement, i have no doubt we will get him.

his product is poor but he is a much more direct player than willian. willian's driblling is like mikel's passing - sideways.we can literally count the no. of times that willian's dribbling has created an oppurtunity. lavezzi is a very good dribbler along with a brilliant work rate. a marginal but an upgrade over willian. also, if the rumored fee of 10mil is true and if schurrle's rumored fee anf transer has an ounce of truth to it, we should not even think twice. PS - still waiting for your "big news". i think the whole forum is!!!
