  1. fair enough. but we do have u-21 and u-19 football. if barca can let them have an experience of training with the B team, why cant we? i dont think playing RLC ahead of cesc and baba ahead of iva against bournemouth would have been a detterent. infact, if any thing, it would have been a good move considering the form those 2 have been in. also, no one is asking jose to field musonda, RLC, colkett, recall solanke and boga and play them too. but its a completely different thing to not even start RLC (who he deems "ready") to start a game ahead of cesc. that has nothing to do with us not having a B team or the players not knowing the club tactics inside out. it is simply the fact that jose cant integrate players from youth.
  2. i have never read anything from pat nevin that says he is neutral about jose. if i remember correctly, just a month ago he said something like "jose foresaw chelsea's collapse.. so decided to sign pogba and stones". i mean seriously. jose actually foresaw chelsea being in a relegation fight and wanted about 150million worth of players, so if he did not get those players, instead of looking at cheaper options, he said "screw it, let it play out"?? i respect pat nevin for what he has done in the past, but i have to say that he actually "adores" jose. and so, i would categorize him in "the black and white childish hate/love mourinho inrerpretations here."
  3. what? at a certain point of time barca had these la masia products: 11/12: valdes pique (maybe) cesc (maybe) puyol xavi iniesta messi thiago busquets pedro cuenca fontas currently they have messi iniesta busquets rafinha bartra haddidi sandro roberto also, its not about the volume of the operation running but how many players are we actually developing into quality players. barca have generated PLENTY. how many can we say? ps : i am not sure how barca acquired messi illegally but that is not the point. the point is taking that leap of faith. the point is replacing someone like yaya with busquets. will jose EVER do that? does he have the balls? can he trust our youth enough to make that call. he cant give RLC game time against bournemouth even when cesc is having a shocker after shocker, can he actually make a change of selling someone like yaya and replacing him with busquets. for me, the answer is simple: NO CHANCE.
  4. and just like the man pat nevin adores, he is getting a lot of his calls wrong. and the one you posted before, well, makes no sense to me. playing cesc after the absolute shocker he had against spurs and the shocking season he has had so far, had nothing to do with roman's demands. cesc and iva have started every PL game that they have been available for. that has nothing to do with roman's demands. it is all down to the fact that jose cant drop his favourites and trust the youth.
  5. the guy who said the oscar would have a hazard-esque development after jose said it? or the guy who just in september said that oscar was the most important player. or the guy who feels that the sun shines out of cesc's ass (last season). you are right in one thing though, barca and bayern are not chelsea. they are bigger clubs with even bigger demands and what nots than us. try to open your eyes and see the reality for once, instead of trying to call out people on their nationality. and thats a moderator.
  6. dont you dare. i guess someone might have made the same joke around jose and he got to thinking - well he would add "experience" to our ranks.
  7. thats such a load of crap. barca and bayern have been doing it for years. and they are as BIG and SUCCESSFUL as they come. the fact that our manager thinks that cesc in the form is a better player than RLC should be enough indication that the problem is not with roman's demands but our manager. the fact that we bought etoo to replace lukaku should be another indication, or not giving bertrand a chance. the fact is, people will try to foolishly give reasons to cover for jose's fuck ups, but the main problem is our manager.
  8. i cant give any credit to jose regarding courtois. courtois was a liga winner and CL finalist. a part, infact the main reason that ATM beat RM to cop del ray. he was already a world class player. jose was doing nothing but replacing one world class player with another, with a 10 year age gap. jose did not have to develop courtois, he could "trust" courtois cos well, he had already done it all. and for me, thats the difference between courtois and lukaku. i feel these 2 cases are very different and incomparable.
  9. trying to buy rooney was a good idea. a very good idea. trying to buy etoo, for a year was ridiculous to say the least. yes, if we had given lukaku a chance, if we had given KDB a chance, if we had given bertrand a chance, if we had given luis the chance etc etc. see the pattern?
  10. are we STILL blaming lukakau for wanting to play? a 20 year old, who could have been our future has competition with torres and ba, and supposedly judged to be worse than both of them. and then jose had the audacity to go and buy a 33 year old etoo knowing he will not be anything more than a stop gap. and then, jose plays schurrle ahead of lukaku at OT as a striker, literally spitting in his face and telling him that you are not getting any games here. sorry, but any ambitious player with a smidgen of self respect would have done what lukaku did. that too in a world cup year.
  11. yes, he missed one good chance but to say that his MOVEMENT is not that good is absolutely hilarious when most of his goals come through his good movement behind the defnce. i would ask you to watch everton games more often than judging him on one game where he already has scored and could have had one more and could have as easily had an assist. and serious doubt about being the main striker here. really. he is STILL just 22. and better than or atleast as good as any striker we have in our roster.
  12. hahahahah... people STILL trying to make excuses. oh well!!! there will always be sour grapes.
  13. oops he did it again!!!! i still cant believe we let a 21 year old PL proven striker go despite having striker problems for the last 5 years. oh well!!! and the worse thing is that a lot of people had agreed to this at that time, cos apparently one world cup is good enough to judge a player.
  14. i guess its all about expectations. when i first saw the line up, i was elated that cesc was not there but oscar's name bothered me. i seriously expected him to be subbed at HT. so i guess, thats the reason i think i feel he had a good game.
  15. solanke boga RLC musonda colkett baker ake zouma christensen azpi courtois.
  16. nope, he walked in just fine. he got injured when he was trying to sit.
  17. no one defends rambo more than me. but come on dude, matuidi is on a different level altogether. workrate and stamina and tackling-wise they are the same, but passing, vision, passing range-wise, matuidi is a much better footballer.
  18. i think costa and remy are good. right now, our priority (for this window) should be a CM and a LB (so that we can shift azpi to right and iva on the bench).
  19. here are some of the names that have come up in this thread: Right-back. Fabinho (Monaco), Coleman (Everton). Centre-back. John Stones (Everton), Laporte (Athletic de Bilbao). Defensive Midfielder. William Carvalho (Sporting Lisbon), Kondogbia (Inter Milan). Creative Midfielder. Gundogan (Borussia Dortmund), Bernardo Silva (Monaco, but maybe he is a N. 10). Offensive winger. Marco Reus (Borussia Dortmund). Forward. Kane (Tottenham), Pato (Sao Paulo). along with max mayer. i dont think (except for pato), even one of them will be a stop gap. most (if not all) of us are looking towards the future as well as the current predicament.
  20. fair enough. but we are desperate. we desperately need a B2B to partner matic. someone who can not only defend and run around (i love rambo but sometimes he is frustrating), but also pass and split open defences with his vision. and i am not saying, he should be able to do that only when the opposition give him all the time and space in the world. BVB wont mind losing him now or next summer until they get his worth (and more), we need to go OTT if we can. does not matter. he is a brilliant player, still just 25 and exactly what we need.
  21. no stand out above what they should normally be doing - which means we have set a standard for those players and our team. so why does the fact that "it was more complete team performance that was shown for the first time in a long time" have to do with it. i analysed on a constant level. the level i expect the team to be. iva was poor. there is no hiding from that FACT.
  22. really? i simply analysed and said how each of them played. just because we won, does not mean it was a perfect performance. and there were a stand out performers for me - Matic, hazard and willian. and no, they did not all play well. iva was horrible again.
  23. you sure never gave a look at my posts considering cesc. people can vouch for me regarding my opinion about him through out his time here and before.
  24. united got ADM (a CL winner) in a season they were not even in CL. time for the board to do something good.
