After this, I doubt he'd want to go back there. Bizarre situation. Guess it's up to the court to decide if a transfer fee needs to be negotiated, or his contract is terminated. Either way, this is going to go on a while longer.
Seems reports of this are intensifying. Still don't think he'll join us, but he has definitely changed his stance (going from "I want to leave the country" to "I want to play in the Champions League") and I think he'd be more than willing to move to a London club. Whether the London club decide he's worth the risk is another matter. He's the best striker in the league with the ball at his feet, but he's also a complete nutjob who's banned for the start of next season. I doubt we'd take the chance.
If we wanted Baines and made a move for him, all we'd end up doing is forcing United's hand. Between them and us, i'm certain he'd choose them. All hypothetical of course, as we don't need him anyway imo.
Apparently his last act was to finalise the deal for Cavani. He was certainly instrumental in a number of their signings, so I wonder where they go now. It seems PSG are just as entertaining for the media as we are.
The caption on the Associated Press site even reads "Chelsea's new signing Mark Schwarzer meets Christophe Lollichon after training at Cobham Training Ground on 9th July 2013 in Cobham, England." Shame we have to rely on other outlets before the club announces it, but oh well.
Another young talent to add to the ranks. Our youth teams are overloaded with quality these days. Look forward to seeing him play for the U21s. He's off to NY with the younger players (including RLC, who I really wanted to see play in Asia). Doubt he'll make a first team appearance this season though, Feruz is probably in front of him (if he doesn't go out on loan).
