I think you're missing the point. Torres is a bigger name in America than David Luiz. If we were playing this game in the league and Torres was captain, i'd understand. But the reason we're doing this pointless tour is to promote the (as much as I hate to say it) 'brand'. Either that or it's both his and Benitez' last game for us and they're giving him a send off
Hilario, Azpilicueta, Christensen, Luiz, Ramires, Mikel, Loftus-Cheek, Oscar, Ake, Ba, Torres. Strange lineup... And lol at City playing another full-strength team.
Perhaps... Although it depends on who we sign. I wouldn't mind if he goes out on loan again (not to WHU though), if we sign a top-drawer striker. That leaves us with a new signing as first choice and Torres/Ba to battle it out for 2nd/3rd striker (doesn't really matter what order because they're both as useless as each other). Then the following summer, one of Torres/Ba leaves, and Lukaku becomes second striker. Seems quite likely knowing the board.
It's all over and the season ends on a high again. Thank you Rafa - Credit where it's due, he's done himself proud. Now... who else is excited for the summer?
Watching the Sky Sports - Kings of Europe documentary. The whole run was incredible but that night at the Nou Camp was special. Don't think that image of Robbie running up the touchline to Eddie with his arms pumping will ever leave me.
I get the feeling that he's the Victor Moses of 2013. Looks like he's got everything to make a decent PL player - Not at a club like Chelsea though. We'd hinder him rather than help him.
