Finally, we will have a proper striker again. He might not be my preferred choice and i still have doubts about him, but if that means the end of Torres then i am more than happy to see him here. Of course i would love us to win a title next year, but i am not that optimistic. I believe that we need to start from more basic stuff, in order to be able to do what Jose said when he came back and that is to build the new Chelsea for the next decade. Personally i will be happy if for the next season we create a team that can string two passes together and is actually enjoyable to watch while at the same time we promote more youth players to the first team and introduce some others like Courtois and Lukaku.

Don't you know that it is hard for people to have a mind of their own? They just feel safer when they have someone to lead them and tell them what is right/wrong or what to believe in.

And you are failing to understand that no sane fan would have blamed let's say Ronaldo (who is an attacking player) if his team had lost 1-3 just because he didn't mark an opposing player in their own box at the end of the first half, especially since the defenders didn't do any better that him. And by the way, none of the teams that you mentioned demand from their attackers to constantly defend in their own box for 90 minutes (not talking about set-pieces).

Oh and of course Eden should be sold and with the money we should buy Pauliniho and everyone else who can run for 90 minutes like Ramires. I agree 100% with your "never give up" attitude, but sadly the second part is only true here in Chelsea.

We would feel a lot more stupid if we play our strongest team and still lose. This is the perfect opportunity for the youngsters to play since we all know that they won't be given many chances another time.

Get the fuck in, what a game. Even if we don't win the league, the mere thought that the scousers can lose the title that they crave so much because of this game gives me great joy.

And you can dream all you want, but Willian and Oscar will never be as creative as Mata, they just don't have his vision among other things. People were saying the same things when we sold Sturridge, that he was too selfish and didn't fit in our team, that we made a nice profit from his transfer and the scousers were fools etc. etc. and now look at him. I know it is not the same case but in both occasions people have been too hasty to defend the decision of the club to let them go and say anything to prove that this was the right thing to do. Time has shown that it was a wrong move in the case of Sturridge and it will show the same thing for Mata. It is true that Mata doesn't fit very well into a high pressing approach but it is also true that if he was used right he could have helped us unlock all those games that the opposing teams were parking the bus, and those games are the reason that we won't win the league. I agree that there is no point crying about Mata but there is also no point trying to make up stories like that we wouldn't have been able to win the league if we had Mata in our team.

To be honest i am not that disappointed by the result since i was expecting us to lose by 2 or 3 goals. This team has already reached its ceiling, anything more (PL title or CL final) would have been a feat. We can still do it at the Bridge but it will require a lot of luck, which we didn't have tonight. Luiz was exceptional and it was a shame that he scored such an unfortunate own goal. On the other hand Ramires showed once again how useless and clueless he is, i am starting to believe that he is even more frustrating than Bosingwa. And i hope that Jose doesn't make another mistake next year and let Courtois go, it is time we start building the next generation of Chelsea for real.

This is the aim of the game for the players. The aim of the game for the fans is to watch something that will enjoy them (not always of course). Winning is a great feeling but it is not everything in life, at least for me.

Good result for us but we have been playing such a bad and boring football lately. To be honest i don't care about this season since i never had any actual expectations, but i am worried about the future. I am afraid that we are not going into the right direction with this style of football when Jose was talking about creating the next Chelsea. It is still too early though and i trust Jose will make the right decisions during the summer, but we need to spend a lot of money. Matic was a good start and we need players like him who possess basic technical abilities instead of a bunch of runners that we currently have.

I can't wait for him to leave and i was one of those few in the forum back then who were not very enthusiastic about his transfer BUT blaiming him for his transfer tag after so many years and claiming that his performances don't justify the tag and salaries has become really boring and pointless. If you want to blame someone for this then blame our useless board.
