  1. I really miss Umbro, our shirts were brilliant back then. The centenary is by far my favourite one, pure perfection
  2. Forget about Klopp, we need to start a donation campaign to build a statue of Courtois with the exact same stance
  3. No top manager will want the job if we sack Sarri this season. Like him or not, he is highly regarded in the football world, both for his football ideas/tactics and his ethos, I have read so many interviews of players and managers who were praising him. I am afraid that sacking him will have a really negative impact on our already bad reputation with managers. And that is exactly what baffles me the most. Are all those Chelsea fans that are asking for his head considering the implications of sacking him, or they just want to see Chelsea winning the next match even if it means that we will never have a long term plan as a club? I am not even taking part in the whole "who's fault is it" debate, i am just tired of talking the same fucking things every couple of years and genuinely worried about the direction that our club is taking. As for Frank, i really hope he stays the fuck away from this club as long as we have the current set of players and mainly the current board. The fans will turn against him after a year or even less.
  4. Crossing has been one of our bigger weaknesses for so many years, yet the board has failed to address that problem (no surprise there tbh), but the good news is that even with the current roster, we can instantly get vastly better at that aspect by just playing Emerson and Odoi over the two donkeys that you mentioned. Emerson in particular has shown that he can put good crosses in the box no matter if he is near the corner flag or from a deeper position, and even though crossing isn't Odoi's strongest attribute, he is making some very good low crosses in the near post with his runs. In theory, Higuain can take advantage of those plays since he has good aerial ability and positioning. We just need to be optimistic that Gonzalo isn't past it and that Sarri won't go back to the deadly (for us) duo of Alonso and Willian.
  5. Their flicks are hands down the most infuriating part of their game for me. Whenever Willian tries to do one and we lose possession, i want to punch something.
  6. This. I don't understand why people keep saying that there is no risk involved in Higuain's deal. Yeah, from a financial point of view, there is no actual risk, but we still have to play football and reach our minimum goals for this season. If Higuain fails to make an impact for any reason, then we are fucked big time. I can see Sarri playing Eden as a false 9 for the rest of the season and we all know that in this case, it won't end well for us.
  7. More like he is going to arrive hungry from the flight and add some more weight by visiting most of the restaurants after his medicals
  8. Damn you, i got really excited by reading the headline and then i read the article and found out that it is about a 16 year old kid. My god, our useless board is just trolling us at this point.
  9. What a boss he was tonight, if it wasn't for David's goal, Cesar would have been my man of the match. Contrary to many guys here, i don't care a bit for his limited offensive abilities, i know it is costing us now and then but there many more things that we would miss if we didn't play him. He is the one and only true heir to Terry, i wouldn't have anyone else.
  10. Man, i am still buzzing, what a great Saturday night for all Chelsea supporters. I must admit that not even in my wildest dreams did i expect us to beat them, i am proud of all the boys and Sarri. Everyone played their hearts out tonight, even Willian and Alonso were a level above their usual crap performances. Fuck Shitty and Pep, i just hope they beat the scum to the title.
  11. I added some things in my first post while you were writing your response so go check them out, it will be easier to convince you to adopt me On a serious note, that vineyard goal is great, it is one of my dreams too. I certainly don't have the money to do it, but i have studied food science and technology, so it is in my area of expertise. So, if you ever buy one i would love to work there.
  12. Screw that, can you please adopt me? I might be 10 years older than you but i am as immature as a 20 year old, we have similar taste in music, we both like chicks and support the same club, so we will get along just great.
  13. Damn, i have missed seeing a carefree Eden, I hope he gets back to enjoying playing football this season, The club needs to start moving forward again and Eden will play a crucial part in that direction, so we all need him to be happy.
  14. At this point i'd be delighted even if his departure got us jack shit. I don't want him near the club spreading his poison anymore, plus we won't have to hear from his bellend of a father ever again. Good riddance.
  15. Shit talking is indeed Courtois forte.
  16. I have said it again, Kante and Azpil are the two truly irreplaceable players in our squad. I hope our board is not stupid enough to even consider going into negotiations for him.
  17. Great news...... for the italian restaurants in London. I swear, everytime i watch him (try to) run, all i am thinking is "Now he is gonna burst"
  18. When you say here, do you mean in the forum or in Chelsea? Because when we are talking about fan opinion, we are talking about the opinion of the majority of the fans that actively support their club. That's the opinion that can affect a club to a degree, not the opinion of 20 guys in an internet forum. In that context, yes it has happened in Chelsea 2-3 times in the recent past, that is hardly repeatetedly. I was talking more generally though, managers take the blame 99% of the times even when it is not their fault, that is the nature of their job. When fans see that certain players are not happy with the manager for whatever pesonal reason and are deliberately trying to unsettle the team, putting their personal gain above the good of the club, then fuck yes they are going to blame the players and defend the manager. It is not down to the players to decide under which manager they are going to play, that's the job of the board. The players are obligated to follow the instructions of the manager and give 100% effort in every single match, not act like spoiled brats and choose when and if they want to perform.
  19. In all of the years that you have been watching football, how many occasions can you think of that the players took the blame wrongly for a manager's wrongdoings? Five? Ten? Now allow me to change some words around from your sentence and you tell me how many times you have seen this happening. The players get so much protection from the average club that they could be narcissistic (i am guessing that's what you wanted to say) bullies and the manager would still get the blame/sack.
  20. What's funny is people like you, who disrespect a man who has won us two major trophies in two seasons, with every chance you get. It is a myth that your posts are controversial, they are plain toxic. I bet you didn't even celebrate when we won the FA, you just sit there contemplating what you will post next to bash Conte. No matter what you or some others say about him, he will go down as one of our most successful managers in all our history.
  21. Why do you seem surprised? If you look some pages back, there have been several posts saying how limited Kante is as a player, thus not belonging to the world class bracket. I remember that because i was laughing at how shortsighted people can be. Of course now everyone joins in the hype and saying how much they love him, but you know how that goes.
  22. He took his goal well, but i noticed something else during the match that i find far more important and i am surprised noone else has mentioned it. There were 3-4 instances where he could have easily thrown himself on the ground, like he has done all season, but instead he opted to stay on his feet and try to hold the ball like every normal player. This shows what many people have been saying, that his antics are not down to him being physically weak, but rather him having poor mentality, something that is affecting his whole game, including his (in)ability to score. Now, i am not saying that this is a clear indication of him deciding to turn a new page, i am just hoping it is a sign of him working towards that direction.
  23. I respectfully disagree, quality has nothing to do with popularity. Actually, most of the times those two things are opposite, popularity is being determined by how the masses perceive something and masses rarely take into account (or are even aware of) the actual quality of that thing. Especially in our days with the use of the social media, this has become even more evident than ever before, people say/act solely with the purpose of being accepted or liked by as many others as possible without even caring if they are true to themselves. That "member of the month award" was meaningless imo and if people stopped posting entirely because it was abolished, then we are better off without them for sure. I can show you a million examples of posts made by "unpopular" members being entirely neglected, only to be followed by a post made by a "popular" member some time after, saying exactly the same thing and receiving 10 likes. This of course is always going to happen, with or without an award, but there is no need to turn a football forum into a popularity contest and that is what was happening back then.
  24. Sadly, i think that it is time for Eden to leave. We have been really blessed with having a player like him performing his magic for our club, but at this point it is in both parties best interest if he is sold. Eden rarely shows up in the big games for one reason or another (especially in the CL), and that's where we need him the most. And when i say show up i don't mean play like 5/10 or 6/10, but carry the team on his own, because like it or not that is what we need with a roster like ours. At the same time, our board has refused time and time again to accompany Eden with other world class players and get the best out of him, so i can't really see the reason of keeping him here anymore. It is better to sell him and build a stronger, more balanced squad that won't rely on only one player to win matches and at the same time give Eden the chance to go to another team and enjoy the remaining years of his career. If of course a miracle happens and our retarded board decides to invest in some world class players to play along Eden, then i would love to see him finishing his career with us. I know this ain't happening but one man can dream.
