Exactly, buddy +1 Sacking managers will only confuse the fans and players, because after every dip in form it's always the managers who gets all the blame on then, not the players. And so is it in our club - Ancelotti here, Ancelotti there, but what we fail to realise that he has been a top manager since arriving, full of professionalism, dignity. Let's not forget that he has had a tough season aswell, he lost his dad 30th September but he came out with guns blazing. When you look at statistics, he has winning percentage of 62.62%, that is the best ratio he has ever had managing a club. We can't be best every year, heck, we cant be best every other year but stability and patience will go a long way, not rash decisions made on assumptions. In the end of the day, assumption is mother of all fuck-ups. I firmly believe that we have a great manager at our disposal who might not have won over all of the fans but you know, this isn't a dictatorship where everyone agrees to eachother. That being said, I hope the board gets the bigger picture and backs him , because Carlo surely has the full support of the players. Rome was not built in a day...

Professional attitude from the admins/mods who always try to improve, amazing forum design & layout, great atmosphere with many opinions, different group based activities ( Xpert Eleven league ! ).. should i go on?

I am absolutely disgusted by some of you guys. Everything good that Ancelotti does is forgotten or not taken notice of, every good win, every title he has won so far have already been washed away from your memories. Quite on the contrary - you always find a way to mock him but you guys have forgotten that he came here, not speaking a word of English and won the double for us, many of you only speak fluent English and thats all, props ... He is an intelligent man and he should stay, one ''bad'' season without trophies isnt a valid reason to let him go, we are 2nd place, only Man Utd are looking down on us and he deserves to put it right in 2011/2012 season, the way he did it in 2009/2010. So hold you fast trigger fingers and give him a break, we need a change in players, we need good flair players like Hernandez, Suarez are. We dont got those kinds of players who comes on the field with a burning desire to make a difference and thats where Sturridge comes in next season with hopefully a few hungry wingers and/or playmakers. Patience and I dont wear down on repeating myself - Rome was not built in a day.

Spot on ,buddy - spot on

Ancelotti must stay. I'm not buying all this ''We'll finish on 73/74 points - this equals 4th or 5th spot'' bs. The reality is that this season has been a tight one, no real favourites till the very end. The top 4 quality might have dropped a little bit but on the account that the lower table teams have got stronger, I mean many teams out of top4 own superstars ( Sunderland - Muntari, Sessegnon, Gyan ; West Ham - Keane, Bridge, Ba ; Tottenham - VDS, Bale, Modric ; Birmingham - Zigic, Hleb). Like one commentator brought out , the team that faced Utd was mostly the old core of Mourinho, I'm sure Carlo will do a great job over the summer and will not hesitate nor over-use the transfer window. Im thankful Ancelotti got us out of the 5th spot that we were shortly after the new year, now we are second, have not won a title for one year and suddenly there are calls for Carlos head. Feels strange to me. Backing him till the very end , he deserves it. In the end , Rome was not built in a day.

But that's life, i want to be a footballer but im too shit, no Ancelotti nor Mourinho can mould me into a profilic football star.
-
Carlo is spot on, we dont need an overhaul, we need a few strategic buys that would liven the squad up. Sturridge for attacking part, a creative midfielder and a winger, only 2 players. We might have lost but trust your manager, trust your players and most of all - trust your team.
-
Harsh or not, he is professional, he should and will move on. Chelsea's number 4 isn't a cry-baby. I find it positive that Carlo actually can make a louder voice and SHOUT at players, sometimes that's what's needed. Learn from mistakes and keep on looking forward. I like the way we have climbed 2nd spot, props to Carlo and the squad for -OVER-achieving when looking back to January/February. Hopefully a few spot-on additions to the squad over the summer will shape the boys right up. Fair play to Utd, grats on Premier League title - when we make the required corrections it will be other way around then next season. Chin up chaps - pride counts for something

Personally I'm not a Lukaku fan so having several options to choose from for the 'new Drogba' is good. Caicedo seems like a decent player and a young one, built like Baptista/Richards so he could potentially cope with the physical side of EPL week in week out. Will come definately cheaper than Lukaku. In the end of the day, this isnt Fm where every player has its 'max potential', this is real life where much is determined by hard work in training and desire to succeed.

I mean then again more adventurous RBs that like to attack (Maicon, Alves, Ramos) they all tend to be less competent at defending. Ivanovic is more defensive, which means there is more of a free role for right wingers/ DMFs who cover his position when he is on attack. But i guess there are different types of players with different traits and flaws.
-
I completely agree, we need a cover for rb position, just stated that Ivan is a great footballer with versatility.
-
You're right, he is not the conventional RB but then again, he is a beast, no winger can outmuscle him ( infact out of all the players i think only the 8-feet Christopher Samba of Blackburn can) and with proper positioning it is really hard to get past him, also he plays with his heart and soul. When it comes to attacking, i mean he comes forward and does different combinations on the wing. Only things i can think that are his weaknesses are technique with the ball (dribbling) and he doesen't seem to have the urge to shoot on target though he is one of the free kick takers in Serbian National team - who knows.. plus he offers so much in setplays - offensively and defensively. This

Hoping for a win but regardless of the result - this comeback has been superb and i have utmost respect for the players and ofc Carlo Ancelotti. I firmly believe that a win at OT should shut even the most anti-Ancelotti people up. Because there is a trend that when CA does well - nobody notices, but if he does bad - nobody forgets. The reason i can see us winning is because they have to play with Schalke on Wednesday, they are bound to use atleast several key players who would also be used vs Chelsea. Last time something like this happened was vs man City, who had had a Europa League game some days ago and they completely faded after 60' - 70' mark, so I guess we can use that as our advantage. Playing away from home can be a good and bad thing. Bad thing is that no proper support, but then again SB hasn't been the loudest in a while, plus homewalls not only give a boost but also add pressure. Regarding Howard Webb, I mean we can't presume that every referee is there to get us but concentrate more on our own play and not hope for generous decisions (nor bad ones for that matter). Regardless of what many may think of him, i consider him a good referee and hopefully he will be fair and unbiased. In the end of the day, we have got nothing to lose, up blues!

Best player (more than 10 apps) - Petr Cech Worst player (more than 10 apps) - Jose Bosingwa Most improved player - John Obi Mikel Best goal - Ramires vs Man City Best buy - Ramires Worst buy - Best team performance - Sunderland vs Chelsea Best individual performance - Petr Cech for his consistancy Best youngster - Daniel Sturridge Most memorable moment - Torres vs West Ham

Gareth Bale is easily better than our left wingers, he would be behind Ashley Cole at LB but as LM/LW, no way, he has the pace and necessary technique - enough to shred opponent's right side into pieces. UCL against Inter games were just a glimpse of what he can do, he also fooled Real Madrid's Ramos so the only way you could stop him was persistant fouling and tryng to break his rythm. And that's not a great tactic, bcs you end up with 10 men in most cases Versus Chelsea he ran faster with the ball than Kalou without the ball and i wouldnt class Kalou as a slow player.. even he had a grin on his face after that. He is still young and surely a player to look out for...

I think 5mil would be a great deal for this player. Chelsea should look to expand its squad with players that aren't necessarily expensive, because, in the end of the day, this isn't PES or FIFA Manager. I'm sure there are atleast couple of Messis or Ronaldos whose talent hasn't been discovered or recognized yet. In that sense we should really look out of the box and not only limit our player search with high-flying expensive superstars, who have the exact same chance to fail in Chelsea and EPL in general.

Welcome buddy

Idd, doesn't leave much room for rotation, as every game is important so they have to prioritize and make cut backs somewhere. Loving the fact that after the 3 gruesome games with short brakes inbetween, we are having a crack at them
-
Exactly, Sunderland are going through a rocky ride atm, they can't score, just can't - regardless of their arsenal of stars (Gyan, Sessegnon, Muntari) Agree with Drogba and Torres part, they 2 are or atleast should be here for the next season and they better get along:)
-
I still stick to my opinion, i dont rate Guradiola highly. About Morinho and him not being able to win La Liga. One thing is stars, other thing is stars who have been together for years and formed a partnership. That is where the difference lies with real vs barca. Both have the best squads in Europe. Plus he has a chance to pull a couple over Guardiola with El Clasico coming up and Cl semis.
-
Do you really think Guardiola is such a good coach? He has so much at his disposal that it would be insane to think that he couldnt succeed. If they didn't have Messi, they'd be half the prospect they are now. I dont consider him a good coach..
