  1. Perhaps our last chance to say goodbye to Carlo Unless of course Roman sees sense and keeps him
  2. And then the category A prices for next season are against teams like Everton and Aston Villa- what makes them bigger games than one against say Stoke or Wolves
  3. Looks good- not to sure what the World War I trench decoration has to do with the club though  Oh well, better than a black hole where trophies should be like at the Emirates
  4. I'd have a go doing a weekly one- not sure if I would be able to do a few per week though.
  5. What would everybody like it too be like on the inside and the outside then? Id quite like to have soemthing very distinct- not any of that bowl shape rubbish using the 'modern stadium' template. Something like Dragao would be nice http://portofootballclub.com/stadium.php ^^^ Now thats a stadium!
  6. Vitesse eh? Is it because Abramovich is a good friend of the Vitesse owner? Apart from Celtic in 2005? I cant remember the last time we played a friendly at home- but I dont mind the fairly local ones like against Palace at the start of the season.
  7. If we actually gave Ballack a chance in Lampard's position sometimes we may have seen better from him but unfortunetley he was played out of position for his entire Chelsea career because Lampard took priority.
  8. Just dont worry about it. We are not expected to win the league so the players should be able to just go out and do their best and if we beat them then we are in a good position to win the league. If we dont beat them then its not the end of the world- there will always be next year and worse things could happen than losing to a bunch of gloryhunting scum
  9. They do seem to have got a suspiscious amount of 12:45 kick offs on a weekend when we have 16:00 ones particularly in the last few months of the season. Not a single home 12:45 kick off in the league for us this season and what a surprise they get a 12:45 next week against Blackburn as well.
  10. Our ticket system dosent even do it systematically either. For the West Ham game I sat in the East Upper and purchased my tickets at about 7:30 on the day they went on sale. I was given row 26. My mate went on about 6 hours later and bought his tickets and he got row 7 Furthermore, for the West Ham and Man City games my seat was right behind one of those metal bar things that they have next to the entry gates which did actually restrict my view- not that I was sold the ticket at a restricted view price! Not to mention the fact that the system is always down for maintainance.
  11. When I was waiting for a train to come once and it was about 10 meters away and some chavs pushed me and I almost fell on the track. My balance saved me though.
  12. We were formed because of Stamford Bridge- not the other way round
  13. I would love to see him working with the club but not so keen on having him as assistant manager just yet. Im not sure that after 2 years at West Ham that he is quite ready for a club as big as us despite knowing Chelsea inside out. I would however like to see him playing some role in the training of players at Cobham and helping with the Youth team before we are ready to put the pressure of being assistant manager on him.
  14. I think the ref for the Man U game is Howard Webb That means at least 6 decisions unfairly against us
  15. Abramovich to stay out of the team management and let Ancelotti sign who HE wantsGive McEachran and Sturridge more game timeTell the players that they should always give 100% for the club and that none of them are bigger than the clubSign Lukaku.
  16. Sevenoaks Town FC. I play for their youth team. The best they have ever done is get to the 1st round of the FA Cup in 2007
  17. I havent heard anything about us playing there but Brighton have said that they would like to play against Premier League opposition. Certainly with Gus Poyet's connections to Chelsea it could happen and if it did I would go to it!
  18. If Torres is to score more goals then I think Benayoun is the key. He has by far the best passing ability in the squad IMO. At first I was like many other people- unsure 'why we signed this 30 year old piece of crap- oh look he has played about 5 games and got a 6 month injury' etc but to be honest he is one of my favourite current players. In the games where he has come on as a sub he has changed the game in Torres' favour with his amazing through balls as well as his exceptional work rate. Its a shame hes not younger.
  19. I walked past it today and it looks like a new small club shop is open there as well as a sign for tours
  20. Petr Cech 8- Did very well considering the horrible conditions Branislav Ivanovic 6- A quiet game really but did well in defence David Luiz 8- Another solid performance. Very unlucky when he hit the bar. John Terry 8- Solid as usual Ashley Cole 7 - Provided a great cross for the first goal. Had a fairly quiet game though. John Obi Mikel 7- Did well at times. Passing and tackling was below his usual standard. Micheal Essien 6 -Solid. Not much else to add. Frank Lampard 8 - Well taken goal. Had a good chance in the 2nd half to get another. Some nice passes. Soloman Kalou 6- Nothing special really. One of his off days compared to Wednesday. Didier Drogba 8 - Another brilliant performance from a brilliant player Florent Malouda 6.5 - Has improved in recent weeks but is not quite the same player as last season. Some terrible passing in the first half and selfish as well at times. Lucky to get the ball for the third goal but very well taken. SUBS Fernando Torres 8 - Starting to show why we paid £50m for him. His goal brought the loudest cheer from the crowd for a very long time. Nicolas Anelka 7- Quiet in the short time that he played. Unlucky to see his shot cleared away when it was squared to him by Torres. Yossi Benayoun 7- Thank God we have this lad! I was critical when we bought him but the lad has amazing vision and always gives 100%.
  21. West Ham chanting 'Chelsea's a shithole I wanna go home' how ironic. Has any of them been to that dump called Upton Park?
  22. I think it is going somewhere in the Chelsea World of Sport/Chelsea Club complex because they seem to be doing a lot of work on the ground floor of it. Not much space behind the MH stand to build something new as well.
  23. Man U Barca Liverpool Spurs Everton
  24. I dont think we should make the same mistakes as we made last season by letting a good handful of players go. It left us with a bench of youngsters and for me only Sturridge (who had to go on loan to Bolton in a season when we were meant to be introducing the youngsters) and McEachran have impressed, while van Aanholt and Bruma have apparently had shockers on loan at Leicester. However, we do need to free up some space for new signings and get rid of some of the older lads who are in decline at this stage of their careers. I would get rid of 3 players max for the reason given above. Hilario: He is 35. OK he is not a bad goalkeeper but I would prefer for Turnbull who is younger and still learning to be given more opportunities. Hilario seems like a nice guy but if Delac gets his work permit sorted out then we should be giving him and Turnbull chances to impress. Paulo Ferreira: Seems to have lost all knowledge of how to defend this season. I do like him but he does not seem to have the pace to keep up with fast Premier League wingers these days. Anelka: Not the same player as last season and unlike Malouda has not shown any revival in his form from 2009/10. Im sure we would get a good £6-8m for him as well. With links to the likes of Lukaku and Neymar they could be forced onto the bench by the presence of Anelka's reputation rather than current ability.
