  1. we can't get the planning permission to expand anymore...For us to be a long term big club that does not rely on Amramovich, we require a bigger stadium. However would we fill a 60,000+ stadium every home game??
  2. A bookmaker will close the book as a precautionery measure due to the amount of money being staked on the bet. The Redknapp rumor will have been started by someone and alot of people have bought into it and placed money on it. For all we know the original rumors could have been started by bookmakers themselves......
  3. If they suspend bets on something then it is practically 100% it will happen.
  4. The sun had a big article on him being the next manager, that has now been removed. His odds have gone out again from 4/6 to 6/4. Something has happended today, but i can't find any news about it on the big sites...
  5. Ecclestone and Briatore have sacked all the non italians from the board and put prices up 40%. They will bankroll them now and want an italian manager. They will also work on a business plan similar to ours........
  6. Spurs can also block this from happening if they wish or let him go if we give them alot of money......it's not like he is a free agent..
  7. If Redknapp knows Roman wants him he will leave spurs in a shot. That guy shows no loayalty to any club only the pound note...
  8. Thats right. It only takes a few people to put huge money down and everyone follows suit. The catalyst for this rumor could have come from anywhere....
  9. Can anyone copy a link of any sites that are saying it is a done deal??
  10. He will only last for 2 seasons like all the others. At least we will get some attacking football which is pleasing on the eye.
  11. Of that list I only saw Nevin in the flesh....I'm not that old.......
  12. I'm not saying it is a bad thing that we have attracted new fans. What I am trying to say is it is down to Roman that we attracted these fans. The question was not aimed at individuals or people on here but fans in general. I have supported Chelsea since the mid 80's and I never dreamed then that we would compete with the likes of Man Ure in my lifetime. That is all down to one man...
  13. I have not phrased that right. What I am trying to say is that some people only chose to support Chelsea because we are now a big side. The only reason we are now a big club is due to Roman. How many would have chosen to support Chelsea had Bates still been in charge and we were a top 6 side?.
  14. He has no loyalty and will only go to who offers him the most money. At this time he is a good fit for Chelsea for a 2yr period......
  15. Not for us, he struggled to get the players to tow the line at City.....
  16. Ive been saying Adam for ages. Best dead ball taker in the league plus he is not fit and overweight. A proper manager will get another 10% out of him....
  17. 100% he will take the job if offered. At this time all we can do is speculate but I think Redknapp is in Romans thoughts.....
  18. How many people on here actually started supporting Chelsea AFTER Ambramovich bought the club....
  19. Why not swap them??...Would be a good solution for both....
  20. True, tactically he is crap. However, I'm not sure that being a great tactician is so important in a knock out competition (look at Capello with England). Redknapp will play a 4-5-1 style that will get the best out of Torres, but his main strength is that players always give 100% for him and like him. With our situation Roman sacks managers reguarly and Redknapp does always buy good attacking players. As our defence is sound with attacking players required I just think at the current time Redknapp is a good fit for us. Not long term no but we never seem to have a long term plan do we?
  21. They will give Hiddink time to decide but I think he will offer it to Redknapp if Hiddink rejects it. What is your main concerns with him??
  22. I think everyone knows that the job is Hiddinks if he wants it. The bookies have to reflect the odds on the amount of money being placed also. I guess there is a 25% probability at this stage he will accept it. Truth of the matter is other than Hiddink noone in the press knows Romans plans yet....
  23. He knew the deal when he signed the contract. He earned £6million a season and his reputation has not been tarnished by his Chelsea stint. Like he said he will not shed a tear over it.
