Cant believe how a player so slow, with absolutely no pace or tempo whatsoever, can become a football pro let alone play for a club like Chelsea. There are probably a few quicker lads in my sunday leagues team.

There is only one thing that baffles me about this guy and that is the fact that even though he has so much experience, played with world class CBs, played in different leagues and competitions and against a lot of the worlds best strikers, under different coaches and styles... He is basically the same player that came here from Benfica. Same playstation defender as Gary Neville described him in his first season. Amazing.

Yes, but this Tottenham team is better than any other I have watched. They never dominated us physically and mentally like they do now. Their players used to go out and play with fear against ours. Now its the other way around, you could see Luiz, Jorginho and co. backing off because they are terrified of Alli, Kane and others, as if Messi is running at them. Nobody got stuck in, and not only did they beat us in terms of goals but they also beat our players and showed a lot more character.

This is fucking dreadful. Only thing worse than our performance is Martin Atkinson' officiating, what the fuck was that?? English refs surprise me even more with every game. We seriously lack at least one leader in this team, someone like Drogba, Terry or Ballack. A lot of our current player are either too soft or just shy and laid back. We need some passion in these games and also someone to influence the referee.

We deserved the win but it was very lucky in the end. 9 times out of 10 we dont score that goal after they made it 1-1. Luiz is a clown and I expect an 80 million keeper to save that shot, not to concede on the near post. The ref was very poor and my word I havent seen a team defend like this against us in a long long time Delighted with the 3 pointa though, so happy we have this fixture now behind us

This may be an unpopular opinion but for me the kid Ampadu is our best centre-back at the moment. Obviously he wont play, but just because hes 17 and not 24 for example. Similar goes for Odoi who was by far the best player in pre-season.

This exactly is the reason managers should never be allowed full power in transfer proceedings. Its just too much to ask for. You cannot succesfully be involved in all training sessions, match preparations, pre-season, tactical decision making, dealing with media and at the same time watch other football matches to scout players. It is that simple. Hence why managers tend to bring players they know with them, or other players from the same league that they play against and like. We need football men in the board, people with vision and knowledge of the game and authority. Then in conversation and agreement with the manager they should make the decisions on who to try to buy or sell. Abramovich is at fault for this, because lets not fool ourselves he is the one hiring and firing at this football club.

Cant believe that a player with so much pure talent, physicality and incredible technique for his size is always hiding from the responsibility.. Keeps letting way less talented players than him steal the show.. Blokes like Henderson and Lingaard always demanding the ball, taking responsibility, trying to organize the play and find passes, play one twos and shooting. Respect to them for that even though they have their obvious limitations. I dont think he will ever be a serious player if he keeps playing like this. Seems way too relaxed, like he doesnt have enough hunger and ambition on the pitch. Talent is enormous, really does have the potential to be one of great midfielders but really needs a proper kick in the arse. He must not settle to play at Palace or some other mid level club just because of his attitude.

Next week will be crucial. Players are already reporting back at Cobham on July 2nd, so I expect the managerial situation to be resolved by then. Though this club is so crazy it wouldnt be surprising at all to see one manager start the pre-season and another one take over in the middle of it.

Yeah thats not happening at Chelsea mate. I used to watch the youth team, watch every pre-season game to see them play, then got my hopes up for nothing... Lets rather be honest with ourselves, we are just not that kind of club. Get that clause in, then if we see positive signs without finishing TOP 4 we dont have to activate it.

Hopefully they learn from this. Next time insert a contract clause that says we can sack a manager if he doesnt finish TOP 4.

Thing is we need Spuds TO LOSE 2 matches, a draw and a loss is not enough because of their superior GD. Liverpool, even if we beat them still have a home game against Brighton (again better GD). So our chances of finishing top 4 are maybe 2%.
