Wasn't pretty by any means but I think we deserved it, really nice fluid play and I couldn't say anyone played bad. Torres had probably his best game for us so far, Malouda was superb, Mikel makes Busquets look like an amateur. Sometimes you just need that bit of luck, lets enjoy it!
Couldn't agree more. His agent has said though that we won't be parting ways this summer which isn't entirely a bad thing as long as he he realises that he is past his prime and unless he hits top form more often and quits finding excuses then it's time to go. He has done a lot for Chelsea and we as fans will forever be grateful for that, but scoring 10 goals a season and earning that much, demanding a starting position is too much, especially after we bought Torres who in the long term will logically be our top striker.
It's because we started changing managers, our squad has/had mix of 3 managers, back in 2004-2008 players like Terry, Lampard, Joe Cole etc were at their prime, it's professional sports, it's not healthy
He is not overrated, he is that good. Dismantling Inter on his own and out running world class defenders as if they were schoolboys. Finishing is excellent, attitude aswell. Would be a perfect buy. Having said that I'd like Sanchez myself if he comes in at a good price (in other words we won't engage in a bidding war with City)
I actually thought this was copied from a site written by professionals but if its all you then wow, very nicely written mate Agree on the MOTM aswell, Mikel has been superb and just 24!
Quality humour at RAWK, patting on eachother's shoulders and reassuring one another how strong and powerful they are. Clearly they are all over it, pathetic to read actually. Like they say, there's only a little difference from being an idiot or a genius..
Petr Cech 8 Branislav Ivanovic 5.5 David Luiz 7 John Terry 7 Ashley Cole 7 John Obi Mikel 7 Micheal Essien 6 Frank Lampard 7 Salomon Kalou 4 Didier Drogba 7 Florent Malouda 6.5 SUBS Fernando Torres 7 Nicolas Anelka 6 (only because of the beast assist for Torres' goal) Yossi Benayoun 6
Here's some statistics for you: Tottenham are on 55 points, 33 games played (5th) Chelsea are on 67 points, 34 games played (2nd) Even if they win their game in hand, the gap is going to be 9 points, 4 games to go in the season. So if we win our next game against Tottenham then we will secure Champions League place this season.
Apart from that one pass, Anelka was same old, slowing us down - for example the situation where he could have slightly flicked the ball to Benayoun but instead he took it back away from the goal. I think it's either Drogba or Torres, don't see them both starting, otherwise I guess Ancelotti would have had them both on to see how they click.
