Exactly, noone would have believed that a month ago. Excellent stuff

Congrats, we are second!

We are leading 3-1, stop whining. 3 points is 3 points and many of you've said "I'd take any win"

I'd rather he got his lesson in games like this, rather than any other game. Will come good, might sound odd but it's true.

3-3 Tottenham Arsenal, HOLD ON SPURS!!!

Good line-up, let's have it, 30mins to go

Who would you pick: Aguero, Neymar, or Lukaku
MetsajCFC replied to Chelsea Zone's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
I've got a fishy feeling Agüero will join Inter and we'll get Neymar, ManC gets Sanchez, ManU gets Diouf -
It's not up to him, Abramovic is nr.1. On the article I partly disagree. I think that even after those injuries we would have had a fair shout on the title race had we taken our chances - like extra time penalty against Tottenham missed, misfire fest at Birmingham, AV comeback that wasn't to be and so on. This season can't only be put on injures, it was bad luck and under performance on more than one front. In Estonia we've got a saying "mis sitasti, see uuesti" which basically means that anything that's done badly must be done again, and correctly. Same in football, next season please and in my eyes if we finish 3rd or even 2nd, then we've had a fairly good season in footballing terms given our "bad moment" but in Chelsea terms an average-OK season.

It just happens. Teams like Stoke play against us like Real Madrid but they tend to be absolute rubbish when they meet our rivals. (take Fulham-ManU game as an example)

Whats wrong with that? Not the suffer bit but the bit where you say Ancelotti wanted to get best possible results. Other strikers were awful compared to Drogba.

I don't want to be negative and all that but if he was that ill, I'm sure Chelsea wouldn't have risked it, sounds like an excuse for under-performing to me. Sure he had malaria but the whole season ,even pre-sickness was somewhat poor. Again, don't get me wrong, Drogba is a top class striker and an outstanding sportsman. One of the most polite ones on the pitch I've seen in my life.

Welcome and stick around mate

I liked the fact that they were under dogs, then I started reading about the club on Wikipedia and next thing I know I was watching the games on weekly bases. It's probably as hard to answer as why do people fall in love? For me it surely wasn't the money or the players because back then I didn't know much about football, the players and those sums didn't say much to me. Might be the colour aswell, who knows but I'm hooked either way. My fav. colour is green (No, I do not follow Celtic dave30 )

If I'm honest with you, I've got a feeling that we will win against Birmingham. Let's face it, Foster had the game of his career and we must have had the worst game. We had so many shots on target, few super saves, few bad misses, posts, bars, crossbars - we saw everything in that game, so that makes me believe we can do it this time, and we will be playing at the Bridge. What I'm not confident about though is that Tottenham might roll over and Arsenal pick up 3 points, now that would be typical wouldn't it? Let's hope all that "derby talk" and Arsenal's woes have gotten to them!

If Arsenal draw with Tottenham at White Hart Lane and we win, we'll be going 2nd even if we win 1:0. We're level on goal difference at the moment.

If we play Torres, people say Ancelotti out because he played a out of form striker If we don't play Torres, people say Ancelotti out because we didn't play him and give him a chance to score his first Shape up, it's: 1) Club 2) Players ... We shouldn't give a damn who scores what as long as we win the games, we did just that with ease and we are still not happy, spoilt fans.
-
Ancelotti said that Torres will be involved "a lot more" in the next games, we'll see Both home games, must win and hopefully Torres' goal. Come on Chelsea, carry on this momentum and finish strong Though Mikel was superb wasn't he? Controlled and held control of the midfield in my eyes.

Isn't McEachran injured?
-
I think they didn't want Drogba to misunderstand the substitution and didn't want to pair them either. I think Ancelotti wanted to play Torres in the 4-3-3 as CF, with Kalou and Malouda on wings. Perhaps 20-25mins would have been more appropriate given the fact that we were in control of the game.

I chose overhaul, because we need 3-4 new players and also release/sell a few aswell. I'm sure Sturridge will be given a chance so that's CF sorted with Drogba,Torres, Sturridge. We need a left winger and a right winger because let's be honest Malouda is too inconsistent and Anelka has all the potential in the world but doesn't use it, also the age factor, might question his motivation. A right back perhaps, depending what the situation is with Bosingwa and his form. And a playmaker. OUT: Hilario (age, I think a reserve keeper can cover 3rd GK spot)Anelka (age, could question his motivation, not consistent enough, big game bottler)Malouda (age, has no stability in his play anymore, woeful all season, only a few Chelsea standard games)Ferreira (age, doubt he has the time to make a rejuvenating impact now)Bosingwa (unless he kick starts his season)Zhirkov (he hasn't made much since arriving two years ago, except that Spartak goal and earning us 2-3 penalties, would expect more of an impact from a winger/wing back) IN: playmaker (Hamsik?)right back (Gregory van der Wiel?)left winger (Neymar?)right winger (Alexis Sanchez? or Neymar? (transfermarkt.co.uk says Neymar can play CF, RWF, LWF and good with both legs, ideal option in my eyes) Give our own youngsters a chance: Daniel SturridgeJosh McEachranPatrick van AanholtGael Kakuta (if he finds his stability) Management: Carlo Ancelotti (we need stability and he is the best option we have, deserves at least another season)New sporting director (Frank Arnesen going to join HSV in the summer)New assistant coach? (I don't know about this one, I believe Emenalo hasn't been anywhere as helpful/supportive to Ancelotti as Wilkins was)

Perhaps they went back to the basics. Told him, right you're off form - earn your place. Getting his fitness up and so called "starting again" his integration. I think it was a wonderful game, perhaps 1 more goal would have been nice given our chances. I think Bosingwa was brought in to change our play to more offensive and commentators said that Brana had indicated that he had a slight problem. Yossi was superb, nice through passes. Torres unlucky, can't get any closer, has to come on wednesday against Birmingam. After a long period, very nice game.
-
I really hope so, like someone said earlier, if there's a game when he scores this must be it

Very nice pass from Drogba, very nice Malouda timing and run and of course PERFECT finish by Lampard
