When he went to Anfield, he reminded me a lot of Henry. But he lacks one thing Henry had, which was incredible mental strength. You could have Henry on a team that was 3-0 down, on the verge of utter humiliation and he'd still know he was one of the best strikers in the world and could turn it round on his own if needs be and would put the work in to do it. Defenders in the EPL just aren't scared of him anymore. They used to dread playing Liverpool because it would mean defending against Torres - now, most defenders in England have figured him out and have the confidence to go in hard against him. Does little for his confidence from the first successful tackle, and so begins the pouting and slumping around the pitch.

We arnt linked with Gotze or Ganso either (speculation at best) and those threads are open.

Cant help but feel that Mata could become our very on Iniesta. There are so many similarities to their game. I wouldnt be surprised if AVB plays him more centrally rather than on the wing.

If city is looking for a winger you would expect Silva to urge them to sign up his old team mate, Mata. The fact that this hasn't happened has me weary of Mata's ability, I have heard him being shunned by valencias fans just like we do with Flo and Kalou. That already gives me an idea of what kind of player he is.

It would make no sense to bid for Sneijder if we didn't even pursue Aguero due to his large wage demands. I also don't see how United can sustain his all around price without making some sales. Just imagine our midfield with Modric AND Sneijder.
