  1. I'd actually be quite pleased if we get Redknapp. He's a quite good manager and he's English. He would be great for the job imo. Whoever we get, be it Redknapp or Hiddink, I can imagine them as Chelsea managers for many more years to come. Roman won't just sack managers anymore, I'm pretty sure that he will have more trust on them. He's just searching for the right man, apparently he hasn't found him yet. He better does this time.
  2. Steven Gerrard over Frank Lampard? Biggest football joke ever. Big shame that Thierry Henry isn't included either. Imo, with Drogba a close second, he's the best ever striker in the league, let alone past decade.
  3. The Carlo banner looks great indeed. Well done
  4. Hiring Van Basten would be so risky, Roman should know better. I'm really hoping we get Hiddink. If we do, I can say that I'll be as much happy as I was when we signed Torres.
  5. Two words: Salomon Kalou.
  6. Good call, but he doesn't fancy English sides, us especially.
  7. I think that the home fans didn't give enough support to Carlo. They could've brought a big Carlo banner at the Bridge, chant his name during games - last game v Newcastle especially. Roman would've noticed that. I feel that some of us who post on the forum and who have never set foot at the Bridge are way more passionate than the majority of regular fans who go to home games. Bayern Munich call 'Bratwurst and Beer fans' the ones who just sit there, eat a hot dog and drink a beer rather than sing to give support to the team during the game. I've noticed many of those at the Bridge. It's a stadium ffs, not a theatre. I don't want to hear the Stamford Bridge regulars complain about Roman sacking Carlo, you could've influenced the decision but you didn't.
  8. Why would MILFs be modelling St. Mirren's kit?
  9. He's a top manager, definitely one of the best around at the minute. You're not giving credit to him at all, he's won the Portuguese league and the Europa league and he's had a fantastic season with his team. If he can do wonders with Hulk and Falcao, imagine how he could use Sturridge + Torres up front.
  10. My advice to the new manager: Just fucking win the Champions League, is it THAT hard?
  11. http://twitter.com/lumcfc Follow me please.
  12. Van Basten. Oh. My. God. I would rather have Avram Grant.
  13. God, anyone but Van Basten or Benitez from that list. I hope Roman isn't that stupid.
  14. JT has probably noticed you cheering in home and away games, Steve. Well done mate, enjoy them. But I can't say that I'm not jealous.
  15. Well, he certainly is not the right man now, hence he got the sack. But saying that hiring him in 2009 was the biggest mistake does not sound right to me. He added two major trophies in the club's history in his first season, and we had a fantastic season last year. He's achieved one of the two major trophies he was aiming for, the league. Yes he did fail in Europe, but it has taken Sir Alex Ferguson 25 years to win 2 Champions League titles. Abramovich isn't that patient.
  16. You're exaggerating it, don't you think? With Carlo in charge, we won the league title after 4 years, and the first ever domestic double. Think a bit more before pressing the Post button.
  17. Alright people, chin up. The club sacked the manager, but it's not the end of the world. I admit that I was not Carlo Ancelotti's number 1 fan, but I did support him all the time. We are all thankful to him for the double last year and the good memories, but this season has been a real disaster for Chelsea Football Club. Therefore, nobody in Earth, nor Carlo himself would be able to guarantee Abramovich and the board that next season would be different. After the huge disappointment and the pressure on him this season, failing next season as well would be highly likely. Ancelotti himself says that it is difficult to regain confidence and form once you lose it, but that's a coach's job, isn't it? We should be looking at the positives. Carlo left now, and the majority of the fans have great respect for him and love the man. Had he stayed for one more season, and without spending on big names in the summer as he was constantly claiming, it would be highly likely that we would fail once again. Then, Carlo and Avram Grant would be no different to Chelsea fans. He won us the double last year, let it stay in our memories forever. The fans want a new era at Stamford Bridge, and a new coach is the key. Therefore, I think that the club did the right thing. Keep the faith. Hopefully Champions of England and Europe next season.
  18. Because Villas-Boas is likely to stay with Porto - same about Mourinho, I choose Hiddink. But the next manager must know that even if he gets a double in his first season, he will not be guaranteed the job next season if he fails to repeat the same. So whoever becomes the new Chelsea manager, he will be under huge pressure. I'm really hoping that the club chooses the right man for the job.
