  1. Roman is the best owner in the world, yes he has made rash decisions that i dont agree with at-all(including the most recent) but he hasn't got to where he is today by being a bad business man. Just be glad we have someone willing to invest in the team and the youth team and cares about the club, if he saw this as a "toy" he would have been gone long ago.
  2. Would prefer to play Celtic and do them something silly
  3. With Neymar hopefully coming and Sturridge coming back, how will he fit in?
  4. Would Rafa be as bad after all? after seeing his tactics im starting to think not Who could pull those off LOL
  5. I can remember saying when he scored at Old Trafford he would never do that against us, oopppss
  6. Moyes spend all weekend harping on about stability, i think that was his way of saying he is not interested. Rodgers aint tested at the top level and fucked up at Reading so still has to prove himself.
  7. While Grant did well to steady the ship so to speak i cant help but be annoyed about how we ended up trophyless that season. The Carling Cup he got his tactics horribly wrong, picking Anelka and Bridge over both Cole's. The FA Cup all the big boys were out, Pompey were our biggest challengers and we go and lose to fucking Barnsley. The champions league final while the slip was not Grant's fault, not moving Drogba on to test a limping Ferdinand and keeping Sheva on the bench was. The premier league we should have won easily, 10 points dropped in injury time? un-acceptable. The team as a whole was at its peak that year how we ended up with nothing still to this day infuriates me.
  8. To get away from all the manager talk (well the new Chelsea manager talk) when Big Sam said he would win the double everytime at Chelsea, Man.Utd, Barcelona or Madrid he got laughed at and not taking seriously at-all. BUT Avram Grant took 2 clubs who should have finished comfortably mid table down while Big Sam managed Blackburn and Bolton both were pretty poor when he took over and overachieved massively with them taking Bolton into Europe with a squad that cost less than £10 million. So im just thinking if Avram could get us to a Champions League final and within 2 points off the top surely Big Sam would not do as bad at a big club as people like to make out? (and no i do NOT want him as our next manager for the record)
  9. Which means he will get appointed now Oh well, ive got £325 insurance from the bookies if this does end up happening which will mean a holiday for me instead of watching his cautious dross
  10. He makes too many silly mistakes for me
  11. According to twitter he has got called up for the freindly's for Holland against Brazil and Uruguay
  12. http://twitter.com/#!/MartinLipton to be fair to the guy, he always responds and defends himself if anyone slates him, when most journos just hide, cant believe ive just defended a jouno haha
  13. Just spoke to Lipton on twitter and apparently his people are pushing for the transfer, i know i aint brought in the best source but i thought ill get it out there for anyone who's intrested.
  14. If one more season on the fringes means ten years or success or dare i say it domination then yes and surely even Roman would if he thought it through properly.
  15. Say Van Basten takes over this year finishes 3rd and wins the Carling Cup or even nothing, signs Neymar aswell as numerous other U25 players, significantly reduces the average age of the squad, makes Josh, Gael and Danny regulars and even puts Billy, Conor, Aziz, Tore, Milan and even Nathaniel and Toddy on the fringes would that even be that bad even if he gets sacked? it would without doubt give the manager after a more healthier squad.
  16. He didn't just win it, he did it braking every record in the book. Not to mention his job at Academia the year before, he took over them when they were bottom and winless and guided them comfortably to mid table.
  17. If that was his first season he would have fired him in January no doubt.
  18. Last summer was the best for me. Champions in style, abroad in Bulgaria with a load of Utd fans to stick it to while the world cup was on and it all looked good at my club, god id do anything to go back to last June, going to Turkey this summer but wont be the same
  19. not really but if the waiter ends up at our club i want compensation for it haha
  20. Am i the only one that thinks it was more than that? To be honest the Sunderland thrashing was coming for weeks and if it weren't for Cech it would have happened against Wolves, the game at Villa Park was the start of the decline in displays but for a few weeks we were getting away with it, im not too sure if Wilkins leaving was the sole reason.
  21. Im going to stick my head out and say the former, give him a pre season and a full break he will come good, he is far too good an act not too. We must KTF with him, i still to this day think Sheva would have shined in 08/09 but we got rid of him
  22. good point, was looking at the odds for the West Ham managers job earlier aswell and even tho i hate West Ham it was depressing who was on that list (Carlo aside).
