Im actually surprised by the reaction. We are creating the chances, we need to be more clinical without a shadow of a doubt, but compared to the dross we had to sit though under Carlo (post double) and most of AVB's reign, this is a dream. Defensively, bar the goal, we looked a lot better today. As far as im concerned while JT is out Ivan is first choice with Luiz or Cahill partnering him. I don't usually vote for a MOTM unless some one seriously stands out and for me Azpi did, and he will surely get more games now with Ivanovic having to cover in the centre more. We were never going to win the title this season, too many changes and to big a gap from last term, but as far as the future is concerned we have never been in such a good position. Only one defeat in 11 isn't too shabby considering we lost 4 in the same period last term.

For as long as Terry is out Ivanovic must be the first choice centre back with one of Luiz and Cahill playing alongside him. Terry's injury looks bad and the thought of an even longer spell with the Cahill and Luiz partnership is giving me nightmares.

The defensive partnership should always be one of Terry and Ivanovic then one of David Luiz and Cahill.

This is about the partnership between Cahill and Ivanovic, not their individual ability, after one game together there getting called the best partnership, Mutu would have been the new Pele if we judged him on his first month.

They have played together once ffs, how can anyone come to that conclusion?

Chelsea facebook pages are now calling him the new Drogba I like Moses, i was defending him at the start when a lot thought he wasn't good enough but i wish our players stopped getting ridiculous tag's after a few good performances, first Cahill the new JT now this, let them play their own game and be them-self's.

He was another one criminally under-rated when he was signed, lets hope he won't go too far the other way after a few good performances, i don't think ill be able to deal with another one of our players being over-rated to the extreme's due to a few solid displays.

90% of Torres or Bosingwa's performances in a Chelsea shirt. Drogba's performance away to Wigan last season. Ross Turnbull at Anfield. Kaloudanelka's displays for most of Carlo's second season and AVB's tenure. To name a few.

Were we doing these 'future scenarios' in Mourinho's era here? If were going to look at 'future scenarios' maybe i should do a poll on who our replacement for Hazard will be on the off chance he signs for Madrid. Right now Robbie is our manager as he is doing fine.

One thing i think deserves a mention, the ref today was outstanding, he really played his part letting the game flow.

Apart from big European nights and games against United, Everton and since the Rafa/Mourinho days Chelsea, the atmosphere at Anfield is crap as soon as the YNWA entrance song has finished.

They both don't fill me with confidence together our concession stats when their alonside one another are terrifying, in future we have to play Terry or Ivanovic alongside Cahill or Luiz for the right balance because the Englishman and the Serb don't do great together in centre half as a partnership either.

Their is never a perfect board and a perfect manager in our own eyes. Their will always be a handful off things both parties do that we want done differently, it's the way it goes.
