Random but im torn, i need a hair cut badly but every time i do i seem to jinx the form (perfect example being i had one the day before Clattenburg gate last season). What do i do?
Full credit to his recent form but his passion and commitment to the cause has never been in question. Long term he is a still a (good) squad player for me.
I was saying the same about Eto'o before he started scoring, that while the 3 are struggling for goals he should play because he is the best technically etc etc. None are long term answer's however so hopefully we can find a solution sooner rather than later.
What's is not often mentioned is he is offering much more than just goals. Even at the start when he wasn't scoring, he was linking up the play and suffering very minimal turnovers and rarely losing possession. Unless Torres or Ba go on a major scoring rampage, Eto'o should be playing when fit.
Shame we lost to Basle as we would have secured the group tonight and effectively took two games off the calendar. Either way, hopefully we can secure the group in Switzerland as not having to worry about game 6 could come in handy considering we have two midweek trips to Sunderland next month.
People said Jose was the one who turned Mikel into a DM which wasn't true as he played him less than half his games in DM to cover for Maka. It was Scolari who started the trend of playing him there permanently. If Jose never left, i reckon Mikel would have been a lot more of an attacking player.
The worrying thing is a lot of people think Messi would actually struggle in the PL The same was said about Mata, Aguero, Silva, Negredo when they came to England, it seems to never sink in.
@ParNolio7, The problem with a strike partnership these days is it is almost impossible to make it work without getting completely overrun in midfield, Liverpool had to go 3-5-2 to accommodate Suarez and Sturridge and even then they got outplayed by Arsenal.
http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/11545-time-for-avb-to-really-earn-his-money-with-a-huge-statement-against-wolves/ Is Jose going to make a similar statement i was hoping AVB was going to make (after the dire game against Levekusen) this time 2 years back?
That's the nail on head. There's no denying Luiz is on poor form right now and would probably have seen a fair bit of bench time if an in form Alex was still around, but Cahill is just not good enough to be anything more than a decent squad player.
He got better after that season and ended up with being one of the key elements to the treble winning season in 2010 for Inter, considering he was 33 after that season it is kind of understandable that he declined after.
