  1. De Bruyne was the reason for a lot of people not wanting Schurrle, so if KDB was starting most games i doubt their would be a great deal of people bothered that Schurrle wasn't getting a look in.
  2. Funny thing is if Schurrle, Willian or even Oscar was in the same position there wouldn't be close to the same outroar there is now. There is some weird fanboyism for KDB and that's not just with his fellow countrymen, it actually played a bit part in the reason people took a while to take to Schurrle, from what i kept reading/hearing.
  3. Speaking of Dortmund, he won't be walking into that team with Reus, Mikhitaryan and Błaszczykowski around will he? And two, even if that does happen, that would be one of the very few decision's he got wrong. Im guessing you were in the group that threw your toys out of the pram when he immediately dropped Cudicini for Cech? or when he started Ba against Norwich? one day it might sink it.
  4. The sad thing is, it wouldn't actually surprise me.
  5. I actually believe Balotelli will be the best player outside of Messi and Ronaldo if he sorted his head out, i really do, when he is on form he is out of this world. The guy's got so much talent it's insane.
  6. If on the off chance the rumour that Dortmund may be prepared to let Lewa go for £7m then we have to fight tooth and nail to get him, getting a world class forward so cheaply leaving us free to sort out the other part's off our team sound too good to be true however.
  7. I think getting him is a must for a variety of reason's. We need a new long term left back with Cole getting on and Bertrand nothing more than a decent squad player. Also he is a Chelsea fan and will surely choose us if it came between us and any other club, especially is Cole departs. Also clicheish as it sounds we really need to develop a new home grown core, and he would be the perfect start to us having that. If we do sign him and make him our number 1 left back we must however have experience around him, so Terry next to him will be a must.
  8. To be honest i can't see why we cannot re-energize the pivot and still keep Lampard beyond the end of the season. If we get someone like Gundogan or Witsel to be Rami's long term pivot partner, i don't see why Lampard can't stick around in the squad for a couple more years and play the Scholes role within the squad and their will still be enough games for him. I think if any of our veteran English lads move on next summer it should be Cole while we look at a new long term left back (hopefully Shaw for a variety of reason's).
  9. You can't blame the Norwich goal solely on him, that was a collective error by Ivanovic for not closing the cross down and both Terry and Luiz for getting beaten in the air. Plus Luiz isn't the first and won't be the last defender to get beaten in the air by Pilkington, also you bring the stats up this season about the partnership's but since Luiz has arrived we concede less per game than we do without him, yet because so far this season the stats aren't in his favour right now, it proves that he should be out of the team?
  10. Kyle Walker has signed a new contract until 2019, thankfuck.
  11. The Anfield one is quite late, around the end of April i think.
  12. Got to admit, i would pay for Torres to score the winner at Anfield (preferably the Kop end) that get's us the title, the look on their faces would be fucking priceless.
  13. He will get an opportunity against Arsenal and it's up to him to perform and show Mourinho, something he didn't do against Swindon. As a Blues fan then why don't you enjoy the fact that we have just beaten most probably our closest title rivals? instead of getting all het up about your personal favorite not playing.
  14. Id rather just risk it to be honest, we must prioritize 3 points at Newcastle.
  15. To be honest i don't think their were many Liverpool fans too excited about the transfer either. Its weird how things work out.
  16. Our best back 4 for recent years has been Ivan-Luiz-Terry-Cole statistically, but that's for another argument. I think we can all agree that those stats above anything shows how important JT still is and that the Cahill and Luiz partnership is one of the worst we have had for a long time, what's more annoying is on paper those two should compliment each other perfectly.
  17. Spot on. It's not just with Spain tho, it's been happening for years. Lucio before them two and Blanc in 98 while the likes of Tony Adams were going home at the last 8 stage. Jose has clearly stated he wants a high pressing team, as Luiz is a lot more suitable to that type of football than Cahiill is
  18. Thing is with Cahill he is the 'safe' squad option, in the similar way John o Shea was for Man.Utd, Cahill will rarely make any silly mistimed mistakes Luiz can do because simply he wouldn't risk it, but at the same time his limitation's will mean tactical mistakes and getting outsmarted by high calibre opponents like with Aguero yesterday. Luiz yes he occasionaly makes the odd brain fart, so does Pique, so did Lucio, so does Dante (see the super cup), top class defenders take more risk's because there's more to their game than merely playing the safe option (There's a lot of times i see Luiz make an interception or a quality tackle where Cahill would have got beaten). Every now and again they will get caught out, but that is the deal you have with cultured defenders, we knew that before we got him, we got have got Cahill instead of him January 2011 if we wanted to play it safe. When all said and done which type of defenders are (and have been for some time) winning the International tournaments? The cultured defenders or the safe defenders? Which type of defenders will command big, big money if they move clubs? the Luiz's and Pique's or the Cahill's and Jakielka's?
  19. If he can carry on this form, i think he will offer us something different than what he was in his Liverpool days. At Liverpool he was a pure number 9, play on the shoulder off the last defender type of forward, when he wasn't scoring he was a liability. Now for this season, if he can keep up atleast the form he is showing in recent weeks (which im still going to remain cautious about) he will offer a role as more of a team player, he won't score as many goals at the rate he did at Liverpool, but will offer more for the team overall, basically a lesser version of Eidur Gudjohnsen is probably the best we can hope to get out of him this season, which is a lot more than what we expected to get.
  20. I respect your opinion, but at the same time it's like Gary Neville said, it's the likes of Luiz, Pique, Lucio that are winning International tournaments, while we haven't got close to them. There has been times where Luiz playing it from the back start's attacks where as punting it away gives the ball straight back to the opposition. I think Cahill is perfect for the games like Stoke or a Big Sam side where we will need to battle hard for every 50-50 and 2nd ball but against the true high caliber opponents i will always feel better with Luiz playing,
  21. Can't see it, i don't think he is going to risk his key players getting injured in this tournament so will rest a lot of players, even if that does mean he loses his unbeaten record against Wenger/Arsenal, if he stays aslong as we hope he does he will lose it anyway at some point.
  22. Every single player who started against City should be left at home for this one, i remember last year against United by the hour mark we had pretty much our whole first Xl on meaning (because of extra time) they all played over an hour, which coincided with a tired display at Swansea. As much as i would hate to see us lose against Arsenal, the Newcastle match has to be top priority. ---------------Schwarzer------------------- Azpi------Luiz--------Kalas-----Bertrand ----------Mikel--------Essien-------------- Willian---------Mata-----------------KDB -----------------Eto'o------------------------ Better than the 2nd string that took on Arsenal's first team under RDM and drew 0-0,.
  23. I don't think i have ever come across such a weird insecure club in my life, their action's after Arsenal's bid for Suarez goes along way to showing their insecurities.
  24. I could be wrong, i sometimes am, but apart from Negredo i don't see anything in their new signing's that suggest they could improve them. Having said that they are a top team and will be challenging for the league, no doubt about that.
  25. I remember in the summer people were getting worried about the signing's City made and the money they spent, but overall i think they have been scammed. Navas looks like a more expensive Lennon, Fernandinho is good, but £34m good?, I have never seen the fuss with Jovetic, the only top, top signing they have made is Negredo and even he is a step down on Tevez.
