  1. Huth when he had Carvalho and Gallas. Mikel in the FA Cup final. Sinclair on against Arsenal in the title decider when he could have brought on Maka and pushed Essien up.
  2. Not really fickle, at the start when it was announced most wrrent to bad about it, it's time gone on it's started to sting more and more.Whether intentional or not, that elephant will always be in the room now, especially if City pip us to the title. At the end of the day Frank is entitled to do what he likes, but on the flip side we are allowed to feel what we like about it.
  3. Well on the basis we haven't lost by more than 3 goals for nearly 13 years, no we won't.
  4. Remember when he first joined people were comparing him to Terry in his prime? Even now Terry is much better.
  5. Im annoyed with myself for not doing it sooner, I could have got life security by having bets with people who were still took in by this fraud
  6. Torres fan boys either had me rolling on the floor or me wound up depending on what mood i was in. I made a bet with some mates that Torres wouldn't score ten or more for Milan, it's like taking candy from a baby.
  7. Come on, that jyst simply isn't true.
  8. "Jose loves Ramires, he will never drop him"
  9. Pogba is used as an example a lot, however Conte signing and playing Pogba came at a detriment to Luca Marrone who was a HG lad for them. Ultimately we don't see these lads on training, the difference in standard between youth league and first team (even lower first team) is ridiculously high especially in England, something that will get drastically laid bare (in my opinion) if the U21s start playing in league one. Don't get me wrong, if we one day win the treble with Chala, Baker and RLC as our midfield trio you won't find a happier and prouder fan than me, however if it was as simple as chucking these players in and bang, manager's would do it and save money spent on transfers, especially in FFP era.
  10. Who does the goals? that's been bugging me for ages can't find the answer anywhere.
  11. On a serious note tho, if it was up to some people Conor Clifford would have got promoted and groomed as the next captain after that youth cup win. There's a reason there are very few teenage starters at topl level.
  12. What about Leon Knight? disgraceful we signed Hasselbaink when we could just have promoted him
  13. Again, let's hope the board did their job in preventing this.
  14. I said one season, even I never imagined this
  15. Three teenagers and a further two on the bench, compare that to City the following night when the youngest player Pellegrini named in the 18 man squad was 24 year old Boyata.
  16. Of course, but things could have been so much different if we gave him the minutes Torres got.
  17. Who's the one that announces the goals and subs because im sure that isn't Barnett?
  18. He had brilliant speed, strength and first touch (which is why so many of his goals took out the last defender before slamming it in the net. However overall technically he was a level behind the likes of Eto'o and Drogba, hench why both of them still offered something when they were past there best and Torres went completely off the boil.
  19. He's not got the best technical ability compared to say Kalas, but in terms of pure defending, he is really really good. Lukaku went wrong by trying to focus on his weakness too much (technical ability) and with it neglected his strength's a bit. The complete opposite to say Bale who accepted his technical limitations and focused on what he was great at, Lukaku should have done the same from the get go.
  20. Some player's are freaks that last longer than the norm like Giggs and Maldini, I actually think JT is another of them. Look at the rest of our golden generation, Carvalho started declining at 30, Lamps after the double season, Anelka, Cole and Malouda likewise yet Terry is still playing to such a high level. For as long as he maintains this level he will be our first choice CB regardless of how old he is.
  21. He was really good last year, no one will deny that, however things that are being said are not scapegoating. The issue's and concerns are valid, im not convinced he can go out alone (ie without Terry) and the sample size so far backs it up, World Cup, the late RDM days, he has yet to show he can play at the level required without JT and sometimes can struggle with him (that's why I and other's cringe at the thought of him being captain) and until we see otherwise that will be a valid concern. Cahill is a good player but will never be a world class one like Terry is or Zouma has the potential to be, I don't see the shame in admitting that.
  22. If we play within the squad listed we should be fine, furthermore we have done our job it's not our fault if the other teams haven't done there's.There was a similar argument with United a few years ago in 2009, they had the league wrapped up and faced Hull who were in a final day relegation scrap, why would they play there first team and knacker them out for the CL final they had 3 days later for Newcastles sake? Clubs have to protect there own needs first and foremost.
  23. Who knows what the plan was, maybe he was signed with the full intention of being first choice but circumstance (like Ivanovic hitting form and to his own admission finding it difficult adapting to England) have put a block on that. and with Bertrand I think it was just the case Jose didn't rate him, certainly not to the extent to have him as the immediate back up like Luis (currently) is.
  24. Only just seen this and felt the need to give my side. Normally I would agree that it would be a waste if money however this time I think it was nessecery even if he doesn't break into the team, after David Luiz's sale and Cole leaving we had four senior defenders, going in with 5 was risky enough and to have such a quality alternative like Luis isn't to be sniffed at.
