  1. I'll be surprised if players get booed. I remember when Mata left and their was the Stoke game in the cup just after, heard many rumours online their was going to be applause for Juan in the 10th minute and even a protest against the decision, I went to the game and in the pubs beforehand and the stadium didn't hear Mata's name even mentioned once. Also there was this talk of Lampard being booed after AVB left, never happened. I know Mourinho is a lot potent figure at this club than Juan, most people going will chant his name in appreciation but can't see them booing our own players, in fact if Hiddink comes in and hits the ground running all this talk will be in the past, just like it was about player revolting after a few weeks of RDM.
  2. Yeah but there are many varibles in drop off effort/performance and how/when it changes. I mentioned yesterday the team I play for, most of the team perform so much better when the "moaner" of the team isn't selected, because we know we won't get whinged at for a mistake, also when theres a better atmosphere about the place, players will feel better and it will reflect on the pitch. If Hiddink comes in and the players take to him, they will feel much better mentally and it will start showing on the pitch, doesn't mean they didn't care before, just that the situation is better. Would be similar with Andy, say he fell out with his coach, it will show on the court where if he then sacked him and got a new coach he got in with, his form will improve, not because he didn't care about his tennis, because he's in a better environment than before.
  3. If you've played football at any level you will know that if the players "suddenly" perform well tommorow it won't be because they couldn't be assed under Jose or where delelibrately throwing results. The dressing room was lost, which was probably fault of both Jose and the players involved, but football is more psychological than you think, so if some player do it form it isn't fair to just start slating them for not caring, it really really isn't as straight forward as that.
  4. That's the thing mate, I don't think most put him before the club, atleasr not knowingly, but after so many years being inconsistent and Arsenals whipping boys and (was the case for me) getting rinsed by those United and Arsenal fans in school, for Jose to come in (all be it with money to spend) and win us back to back titles and blow Arsenal out of the water especially, he was always going to impact a lot of people. And don't worry its sound I know you weren't directing them at me, I've just always been quite defensive off the fan boy craze (unless it was Torres ).
  5. You're one of my favroite members on here but the fanboy route is too far. Ofcourse their will be people with the emotional connection with Jose still, I still do but my club first philosophy made me revert to 'Mou out'.
  6. If they lose the dressing room then they have to go, plus the romantic notion of managers being in complete control and players doing what their told like good little boys is an urban myth, not even Fergie had his players in complete lock down (Roy Keane prime example).
  7. Team I play for this season, their is one player who is a massive moaner, when im on the same side as him (whether in training or both selected) im a lot more cautious in my play and more reserved, when he doesn't play or he on other team in training I tend to play with a lot more freedom and play a lot better as a result, few others in the team have said the same to me alone. A little perspective there for anyone who will take a good performance on Saturday as "proof" the players didn't care all this time, never underestimate the physiological part of life. Also lets not forget last time we slated the players for attitude towards the manager resulted in massive humble pie 2 months later after Munich.
  8. Furthermore Jurgens impact at Liverpool has been overexaggarated some what, the City and Saints matches were impressive but beyond that their hasn't actually been that much improvement, the Swansea and Newcastle games for Liverpool are as bad as any display we've put on this season. He will probably sort the problems out, but he hasn't had the impact the Scouse loving media are suggesting.
  9. Klopp was always heading to Liverpool.
  10. Because i can't imagine him wantingnto.completely end it like this either.
  11. Hopefully he comes back for two years before he retires, this shitstorm can't be his last action for Chelsea after everything he's done, it just can't be.
  12. I dunno, unlike when we bombed in 11/12 we still have a good enough squad, if we make the right appointment and add with really good players, I think its possible, hard but possible.
  13. Money? We have to move on from Jose its not working, worrying about alternatives just doesn't really wash because He has lost the dressing room and results are still shit. And if no proven top class manager is available then that's when the board have to earn their money and be prudent, their will be options around who could do a very good job, will just result in the board having to look a bit futher than the end of their noses. Also 're Simeone, word is German Burgos is taking Enligh lessons.
  14. The board probably see how he recovered Tottenham and Reals seasons and the fact he has a decent cup record which could put us in good stead for at least the FA Cup. As full time boss, forget it, but till the end of the season he might not be that bad.
  15. Maybe he was saying who sets up better defensively? As Tibo during his time with both managers he had a lot more protection in Spain.
  16. The word is Simeone has grave concerns about our squad and wants massive changes if he was ever to come here. So if he is going to be like Mourinho without the loyalty to underperforming players (never thought id ever say that line about Jose) then that suits me down to the ground.
  17. The problem is, even if Jose goes United and wins them the league, doesn't mean letting him go here was wrong. Were playing awful and not getting any better, we are 16th, the only thing that's keeping me clinging on at the minute is Wenger had a similar bad run in 2011 (4 wins in 18) but luckily for him and Arsenal that run was spread over the end of 10/11 and start of 11/12, whereas our bad run is in one season, funnily enough Sunderland at home ended the rot for Arsenal, maybe it will for us aswell. But what will Jose staying now achieve? In his previous jobs his lack of long termism was justfied by the fact he djdnt want to stay long term, he always wanted to do the European tour then settle down, now he's at the job he said he wants for the rest of his career and the good moment has lasted even shorter. The one thing I always believed about Mourinho is that if we are in a rut he would quickly find a way out of it, and he hasn't. He will go elsewhere and make an immediate impact, that's his strength, want instant success and Jose is you're man, that will guarantee him top level jobs for the rest of his career, but its all broken here, the only way we are going to feel the best moments of Jose again is if we overall two thirds of the squad which isn't practical or have him back for a third spell before he retires. The latter sounds tempting but for now, the best thing for Chelsea and Jose is to part company, there will be alternatives out there, but right now anything other than Jose is worth trying because his second spell here is broken and not getting any better.
  18. The thing is, when the team is playing well that's exactly what he does, in the first half of last season, the team firing, he did the donkey work and provided a respectable amount of goals, and when you have Costa scoring, Cesc assisting and Hazard on world beating form, thats ok. Oscar is the type of player where his strengths come to the fore when the team Is performing but when the team isn't, his flaws become apparent, glaringly so in fact, he is what he is.
  19. Managerial stabilty has always been overrated, should only happen with the right man and I was hoping it would be Jose but that ain't happening.Southampton are the prime example ofletting go a manager who was doing ok, they risked fans wrath by sacking Adkins for Poch but look at them now. Watford are another example, I know they didn't sack their manager (cant spell his name off by heart know he played for us in early 00s and flopped, Jokanovic, did i get it right haha) last season but would he be doing better than Flores? Cat in hells chance I reckon. This may be controversial but I think manager sackings/changes don't happen enough. More managers keep their job when they don't deserve too/ there's someone else better that can take over than ones that get sacked harshly.
  20. Robguima has summed it up perfectly. We got a choice between a striker who on form is a world class striker (striker not player) and someone who is probably our best option at the minute but not good enough to be #1 at a top club which we still are despite this. I can understand the argument for Remy but I can also understand the argument to keep playing who is on form our best striker and hoping he plays his way back into form. Was similar with Cech when he was having a wobble around 2008 time, do we let him play his way back into form or do we play our decent back up in Cudicini ? Both arguments are fair.
  21. He got subbed on in three of the first four games, defiently something to build on. I can understand why he wanted to leave but Jose never rated Ba and got sick of Torres come December, he would have been rotating with Eto'o all the way through the second half of 13/14.
  22. There was the odd discussion about them, but aside from KDB there was none of the "why did we sell them", and if Costa hits form again the Lukaku thread will go quiet again, especially if it conincides with Romelu dipping inform himself.
  23. Looking at Martial now (great playr just not yet) gives an insight to what we would have looked like if we pinned our hopes on Lukaku in 13/14 instead of signing Eto'o.Our attacking mids were really young at the time, Lukaku up front would have made a ridicolously inexpierenced front line and Hazard touched on how Eto'o helped his development and I can imagine it was similar for the others. Plus as soon as Etoo got up to speed he was class (and wasn't even as bad as made out before even) so he wasn't just there solely to guide the young AMs.
  24. The only sold player really spoke about last season was KDB, the rest have only really cropped up this season.
