Luiz in midfield is an option if we are playing strictly to contain and counter, but in games we set up to take the initiative (Atletico) or will be forced to due to the negative tactics of the opponent (ala Pulis sides, Leicester, United at home) he shouldn't be anywhere near midfield.

Bats may be a flawed footballer but he's a relatively reliable scorer, plus the false 9 worked ok when used last season. It's a blow no doubt, but aslong as Hazard doesn't get another injury we should be able to (relitevely) cope.

I swear most of the best keepers are meh at pens. As alluded to Cech was rubbish at it Munich aside and in the CL final 2016 Oblak went the wrong way for every one, also in Moscow the two best keepers at that time saved 2 of 14 combined. Yet we have keepers like Krul, Mingolet and Caballero who aren't anything to shout home about saving pens like it's going out of fashion, heck even Bravo has a solid record at penalty saves.

Seems to be a pattern emerging, only for so long can we say it's harsh if it keeps happening.

The wingback option was just romanticism i think. Conte has never even named him as a possibility in that position and has tried every winger and fullback at the club bar him and Hazard at wingback since his arrival. There is clearly a very, very good reason he's never played at wingback.

He's doing well at Swansea so far, he's got 3 in 7 and has actually missed a couple of glorious chances, okay that in itself is not ideal but i'd be more worried if he wasn't getting the chances. The second season in a row he is playing in a team that's in an absolute mess and it looks like he will again get respectable goal figures despite that. I know two Swansea fans and both think Tammy is the Swans only hope of staying up.

I think his rest vs Stoke was more because he played the last four. I can definitely see him being saved for City as we will need a few changes for that one. I remember when we played them a few days after the league cup semi and were blowing out of our arses after half an hour.

Andreas isn't very fast which could be an issue as an outside CB, but even if he had the pace i think he's so tailor made for the middle he'd be wasted there. Awesome problem to have though.
