  1. The funniest thing is when Wenger was only finishing top 4 he was laughed at by opposition fans and protested against by Arsenal fans. Arteta hasn't even achieved parity with what Wenger got laughed at for "only" achieveing yet has apparently proved everyone wrong. If he's in a title race in May fair enough but until then....
  2. One thing that is going under the radar a bit is how good we are becoming at scoring late winners. Apart from Conte's title season we had a low amount of match winning goals late (85 minute plus) in games and under Sarri/Lampard that element became next to non existent. However in recent months especially we've started to pick up 3 points with late goals which is pleasing to see, off the top of my head there's Palacex2, West Hamx2, Watford, Newcastle off the top of my head.
  3. I'm genuinely concerned he may already be burning out. Happened to Oscar and he didn't have close to the type of schedule Mount has had, he's basically been playing non stop since breaking through.
  4. I actually close to haven't (outside of highlights). The Tottenham game was the last full 90 I saw.
  5. Small crumb of hope i have is he appears very close to Reece so maybe, just maybe he can persuade him. I won't hold my breath on it but Joe Cole helped swing Hazard in our favour so you never know.
  6. Well if we're going to go down this route, RCB is where James elevated himself to our best prospect. Prior to that Dujon Sterling was considered the bigger fullback prospect.
  7. I hope so. By hook or by crook we have to beat Milan at Stamford Bridge. According to my Milan supporting friend Rafa Leao is on the form of his life so i feel James at RCB to hopefully do the job he did on Vini JR.
  8. I'm worried with one year left on his deal next summer an impressive season in Germany could lead to Bayern saga 2.0. Hopefully with his teammates from youth level here this time he won't get as close or worse.
  9. t's unforgivable he's gone with Pulisic and Ziyech still here.
  10. I don't think it's argued he'd score loads but i think there's still a fair question mark on how much better he actually makes teams despite that. Despite all his record breaking at City they're currently trailing to Arsenal of all teams and he couldn't get Dortmund back above Bayern, some may argue "that's unfair Bayern are better" but elite players are meant to help tip the advantage in the favour of the lesser sides. CR7 did it vs us and Mou, Hazard did it at Lillie (and to a lesser extent here) and Mbappe did it at Monaco.
  11. We tried to send him there but none of the clubs would touch him with a ten foot pole.
  12. With the way Kepa has appeared in interviews since Potter's appointment I'm pretty nervous he's getting another big chance.
  13. I'd go a step further and say he probably knows he won't.
  14. Atleast with Ziyech we can hope for a couple of months of form like we got last January/February and his early spell under Frank. Pulisic may aswell come on waving a white flag.
  15. Its utterly rubbish. He's had many chances in similar games to those he would have apparently "rewarded us with goals and assists" and he's been absolutely shit. I've never known a player who's done so little so be so protected with excuses since Torres. Callum is better than him in every way bar finishing and gets absolutely crucified.
  16. This is probably going to end up a worse situation than Lukaku. As much of a wanker as Rom is atleast he has something resembling a resume (goal record at different clubs) to slap on the table even if it wasn't nearly enough to justify the role he wanted here. Pulisic on the other hand has been a meh player his entire career and is behaving like this (with his minions not far behind). It actually in a way makes me respect the likes of Bakayoko, atleast he has some self awareness to just trip over the ball and go home, the PR levels for this guy however is disgusting.
  17. Am I the only one finding the situation a bit surreal? I mean, in the past it didn't take me long to adapt to the likes of Pedro, Oli and Cesc as Chelsea players but I'm finding Sterling and Auba here with Potter as manager so odd. Not in a bad way, I love Sterling so far, have nothing against Auba and Potter was my first pick once I heard Tuchel was gone but seeing all three of them on the highlights of the last game felt like an outer body experience, just can't get use to it. Maybe the fact I've been travelling since 3 days after the Spurs game being unable to watch the games live (good timing on my part) has contributed to it.
  18. Yep that's the main concern for me because pure coaching wise this really should work. I was a little nervous in his first interview on the app (he gave off the vibe of a kid in Willy Wonka's chocolate factory) but he was a lot better in yesterday's presser so hopefully that was just nerves/told to overdo it.
  19. Did Pochettino play nice football at Spurs? They were the best team not managed by Pep we've ever faced in terms of forcing mistakes but i thought their overall style of play was pretty meh.
  20. I thought that period between him getting up to speed (around Christmas time) and then injured vs Arsenal that Eto'o was absolutely brilliant. I think we would have won the league had he remained fit.
  21. Sorry on travels atm (good timing for it) so not on as much. Long story short I'll hold my hands up when it's mathematically done, not after five games (where one of said teams haven't even played that well).
  22. It's genuinely incredible people are still falling for that logic after last season.
  23. I didn't in the slightest fall for the narrative they gazumped us but the gap is larger than even i thought. Them getting a point yesterday was a less extreme version of them getting one at City in the season Pochettino got sacked.
  24. He played there when we thoroughly outplayed Real at The Bernabeu.
  25. Tuchel has already ruled out ever playing Chilwell there.
