And where is this thing Conte has no say in signings coming from? The evidence suggests the opposite. We don't sign a Serie A player for a decade yet since Antonio's come here half our signings are from that league. We haven't really gone after a target man for years Conte arrives and we are all of a sudden trying to sign Llorente, Dzeko, Giroud and possibly Carroll, that plus the signings of Mandzukic, Llorente and Bendtner at Juve (plus his use of Pelle for Italy) strongly suggests these target man links are his idea. Yes there's probably a few board signings in there (Batshauyi and Barkley) but others are quite evidently approved of by the Italian.

I believe his performances have shown him to be the better of the two this season. I'd be calling for him to start if his height wasn't an issue. How so? The way we deal with corners and set pieces under Courtois is night and day, Willy causes panic. He has been a decent number 2 but we would quickly get sick off him as a number 1.

Fergie and Becks fell out initially due to his flirting with Real, it was his eye for a new challenge that started it all. Power to the extent Fergie has at United should be earned, we lost both KDB and Costa because of the managers power and could have lost Drogs and Hazard also plus most clubs run a transfer comittee especially these days. Im not convinced Conte has no say either, maybe not the final say but i can't fathom that our sudden fettish for Serie A players and targetmen are a coincidence, the boards profile of signings down the years have been the total opposite.

How do you define proper support? Many years Fergie had to put up with average to shit windows and not getting exactly what he wanted like us this summer. He also had to put up with Blackburn, Chelsea and then City financially pissing all over United the same way we now have to deal with City and Paris to us. He lost out on the likes of Shearer, Essien, Ballack, Robben amoungst many others similarly to how we are currently losing out to the Manc clubs, he lost the likes of Tevez, Ronaldo and Beckham in the same way we MIGHT lose Eden. I only wish Conte was our Fergie, because if he was he might have got on with it despite (understandable) frustration's and found a solution on the training pitch, you know like he's paid handsomely to do.

There's a difference between a teething problem struggle and the shit we have been served up since new year and well December too (the results were still there at that point, but the warning signs were evident). Teething problem struggles would be Poch's first season at Spurs, Pep at City last season or if you want to look further back, Rijkaard's first season at Barca, all had inconsistent season's for various reason's but it was obvious to anyone with eyes that something special was being built (people can throw the no trophies thing at Poch, but if Conte is being branded a miracle worker for what he's done on our budget then the same should very much apply to Poch who's at a club with a transfer structure that makes ours look like PSG and City combined) and if we had a season like that with say Sarri next season i genuinely believe he will get the time he needs. Look at us now, what is Conte actually building towards? Ok he didn't get his first choice targets, boo hoo he's not the first in football and won't be the last, we have a flawed squad but enough quality to have some sort of identity and structure, what is ours? Since new year we have totally broken down and Conte is doing nothing to change things up, it's the same failed and tired tactics over and over again and he's starting to look like Carlo in 10/11 (and if you told me last May i'd ever say that i would have laughed at you). Its like he's (like Carlo) expecting things to fall back into gear eventually because they use to work. You say Conte can do little about defensive errors, what about hard work on the training ground? Poch took on defenders who were making fools of themselves under Sherwood and made the best defensive unit in the league, Conte has had 18 months to work on our defense yet (as clearly evident last two matches) we have a 21 year old carrying our defense and when he doesn't play we are defensively as bad as Liverpool. 2018 under Antonio things have looked totally damaged and while it's easy to say it's only a month, when has a manager hit such a rut at any club and come out the other side? It's very rare and history suggests things are only going get worse not better so why cling on (look at how much damage United clinging on to LVG has caused), we are nowhere near a Jose 15/16 all time collapse but we are very much in Scolari, AVB and Carlo season 2 territortry right now. It's a real shame it's come to this as i honestly would give him 9.5 for last season but last season has gone, history suggests things won't get better so why cling on? Get someone in, galvanize the group and maybe, just maybe give ourselves a chance of the FA Cup and the Barca match.

Andre Ayew is a winger so he doesn't need to worry about him.

His heart in Madrid = his kids.
-
What so were 1 point of relegation?
-
Hearts saying Sarri or Tuchel, heads saying Allegri.
-
Because Klopp is giving no indications he's unhappy, quite the opposite in fact. If he started taking repeated shots at Fenway Sports group, refused to sign an extension, had previous with rage quitting and look a ghost off his former self, he would attract those type of headlines too.
-
Sarri has already gone on record saying he works with what ADL gives him.
-
Maybe, but if so it's up to us to identify who the "next Poch" is, i did think Marco Silva was the next one to step up to the top 6 but the way he lost the plot at Watford has given me severe doubts.
-
We have perfectly suitable alternatives for Cahill and while Drinkwater isn't Lampard he's a much better option than Baka.
-
We should give everything to get Poch here, literally.
-
It's a shame it's come to this but he has to go now, his tenure is looking increasingly damaged and it's not in anyone's best interests to cling on.
-
Same was said when Jose left.
-
No, but it might mean some off them get dropped!!
-
Ffs!!!
-
Hopefully he carries this on so we can swindle a good fee for him.
-
Tbf, while you can justifyably point to the lack of star quality in the last two transfers, one thing it has done is given us decent depth and options. The problem is we have squad players on the pitch aswell as the bench. Zappacosta and Moses the main examples, what would be two solid squad players swapping the starters berth.
-
Unless things get to unprecedented levels of shit ala 15/16 he will still get till the end of the season.
-
Scenes if we win 1-0 at Watford and he brands it a famous victory!!
-
Thing is, Conte did, but has now seemingly ripped it up/got found out.
-
He's making a lot of "tempering expection" comments lately, the type Roy fucking Hogdson made (and was universally mocked for) while managing Liverpool and England.
-
Needs must, funny thing is i can see that causing Barca problems.
