I was delighted to get him and wanted him the previous summer, thought he was the perfect replacement for Carvalho.

I had an argument with someone during the Spurs/City game who thought Spurs transfer business (in other words him and Fernandes) will mean they overhaul us and i do recall the odd (paraphrasing) "all our rivals got business done and we didn't they're so much better" That said I do think United got a bit of a boost with Bruno but luckily we seem to have got a similar in house boost with Gilmour which will hopefully be enough to see us over the line.

You can never tell. I remember end of January people were going mental because we didn't panic buy the average Bergwijn only for three weeks later to sign the best player in his division.
-
I genuinely wouldn't, even more so now Taglifico (a superior fullback from what I've seen) is supposedly avalible for nearly half that. Chilwell is a similar level to Alonso in my opinion.

Just thought as timing has it we have City in the second week I think. If Liverpool win at Everton and City win both their games. We would hand Liverpool the title if the game is on before Liverpool play and we beat City.

He gets bullied by Giroud everytime, imagine what Drogba would do to him.
-
I meant since the return. The difference between them vs Freiburg and today reminds me of just what we've been like, case in point the contrast between our final 2 league games before the suspension.
-
Out of all the teams so far Leipzig have given me the closest feeling to what it's felt like watching us this season. One week frustratingly ineffective, next week mesmerising.

Havertz would be the perfect long term successor for Firmino at Liverpool. Hope he doesn't go there.

No more than other countries. Italy and Spain (both of which have had more deaths per million than the UK) have been just as full on in trying to get their league's back on, the former of which officially announcing a restart on June 12th. Interestingly according to The Athletic in Spain officials and players are all universally on the same page about restarting the season the moment it's logistically possible, I wonder why that is? Cross that bridge if we come to it, which isn't looking likely.

Kante (and Deeney) have every right to decide against playing if they don't feel comfortable, the same way Dennis Bergkamp had every right to decide against playing European away games (that he couldn't get to on time by driving) because of his fear of flying. The economy needs to be rebooted sooner rather than later because if not the consequences would far outreach anything this virus can do, that includes football the same way it does McDonald's.

The risk is going to be there to some degree or another until a vaccine as you said, what if it never comes, do we shut off football for good?
-
With the sheer amount of testing and precautions being made its safer than a lot of work environments, infact I'd say our players will be a lot safer than when they last took the pitch against Everton.
-
The world is starting to reopen again, football is a part of that.
-
Genuinely didn't think about the on field implications re his decision until now.

I don't know where best to put this so i do here. In the Bundesliga apart from Hertha all the results and performances pretty much followed the same form trend that was building before the break (Bayern, Dortmund and Gladbach on form, Frankfurt collapsing like a pack of cards, Leipzig drawing too much main examples) so maybe we could still pick up from the momentum built vs the Scouse duo after all.

What the hell? Innocent until proven guilty. He will have his contract terminated if convicted until then he remains part of the squad.
-
I think Willy not long back signalled clear intention to leave at the end of the season, so hopefully this is done purely because the season is going to go past June then we let him go.
-
Couldn't disagree more, he had a poor couple of months but was on good form after his return and before the recent hiatus.
-
Be curious to see the viewing figures from this, could we see the record for Sports broke?
-
Surprised and quite disappointed they haven't put artificial crowd sound on, it's worked quite well with the K League.
-
Any and i mean any way of sorting things out using current placing's is fairer than a void.
-
Haven't wanted a transfer to not happen so badly since Rooney in 2013.
-
I wish all these clubs/players/executives/fans would all stop the bullshit and just admit they want what best suits their club. Everytime we hear about people wanting voids they bang on about integrity/morality being the reason behind why it's their preference yet the one thing all these people seem to have in common is they support or are employed by a club who would benefit. The only exception to that rule are United fans but we all know exactly why that is.

How does that even work as they went onto win it? Only way they could possibly have anything disguising an argument would be if they lost in Rome and Abidal's replacement had a mare.
