  1. Don't think that is true at all. I was getting really sick of him in the last 1/3 of last season, but he has been fairly consistent this season and delivered on a generally high level.
  2. He might have ebola, but even then surely he can score a goal or two against United.
  3. I don't know what is wrong with a captain nearing 30, but Cahill is at least a good shout if we exlude Ivan and Luis then.
  4. Well first of all I disagree with Khedira not being a step forward, he's a very useful midfielder if he should sign. But more importantly, there's just not a lot of depth in the midfield. Mikel will be gone for African cup of nations soon, that will leave Chelsea with only Ramires, Matic and Fabregas for a good months time with lots of matches, it wouldn't take many injuries to completely fuck over Chelsea and destroy the title hopes. Pogba is apparently refusing to sign a new contract at Juve and he only got 1 ½ year left on it. It would make sense for Juve to sell soon, if he still doesn't want to sign a new contract, otherwise he would just go free.
  5. Even when he isn't having much success with anything, as was the case for long periods of the match today, he keeps fucking going without hanging his head down and works hard as fuck for it. It usually ends up paying off. What a change from Torres.
  6. As you say, he's getting asked the same boring shitty questions and just say the same boring shit in response. It's the journalists job to ask of something more interesting, can't blame him for auto piloting that shit.
  7. I wouldn't laugh at that argument just yet, Jean-Louis Dupont probably knows what he is doing. Also don't forget that FFP isn't just about world star players on top teams like City and such, it's also teams from Malta, Latvia and all kinds of places you probably have never even heard of a footballer from... So the argument while maybe seeming silling for the big clubs, that he is actually doing it for, it works on the other levels too and could very well be seen as a breach of european competition law.
  8. Well I can only speak for myself here but... Hell fucking no. Nothing will make me forget him for Chelsea, even if he scored and "took" two points from Chelsea.
  9. Hard to blame Lampard for doing his job. Of course it sucked to concede, with one player more on the pitch, and a former very loyal player and legend of anyone scoring. But well, not much to do about that now, still think letting Lampard go was the correct decision no matter how much this right here sucked. What I am pissed about is sending Drogba on... and going too defensive when up one goal with one man advantage, gave way too much of the ball to City.
  10. That selective quoting, where you are cutting out "Matic is going to need ramires and willian/oscar to fightt he midfield battle". Look at your video again, Luiz is right there. Alone with Fabregas, Matic has been overrun by most midfields but our offensive flair has been enough to win matches anyway, but with Ramires next to him I think they could do it and I'm pretty sure that's going to be the option Mou goes with.
  11. There's only one reasonable response to this. Fire Mourinho. On a serious note, as some of you already pointed out: Luis looked great.... and so did Hazard for the most part. But there's not that much else good to say.
  12. Why is that funny? Bayern has done well and Bayern Munich is written as Bayern Monaco a lot of places. I at least have a hard time pointing towards a club having done better than Bayern other than Chelsea.
  13. Arguing about who is the very best is always a bit hard and usually just ends up being silly, but I will say I doubt there's anyone that fits Chelsea better than Diego Costa does, so for Chelsea he is the best.
  14. I'm sorry to bump this but with Van Ginkel possibly going out on loan, the central midfield at Chelsea all of a sudden looks extremely thin. With rumors of Southampton being after a midfielder, I think Schneiderlin would be a perfect signing for Chelsea, especially with him also counting as homegrown.
  15. Hope that last one is a wakeup call, the team needs it right now.
  16. Good lineup. I'm certainly no huge Ramires fan, but it's clear that Fabregas and Matic as the main central midfielders were a bit unbalanced against two promotion teams, and I could see it costing against better opponents like Everton. Also hopefully this should give Fabregas a bit more free role, which I think will make him even better in there. Edit : only just saw the Chelsea twitter image. Hope that isn't true.
  17. " The move is now subject to Fernando agreeing personal terms with AC Milan and passing a medical examination."' Eh.... I'm going to cancel my celebrations for a bit more.
