And also, Arsenal does not have a team that can respond as well as we did after going 3-0 down in the first half. It did not for quite some time and will not until Wenger tries to man up the kids he proudly brandishes! I dont even think he realises that this is the missing ingredient one of the important factors that his side is an utter flop!

And is Lalkovic back from his loan?

Any stream for the Bolton-Villa match? Gael is starting..any link will be much appreciated

Why do we have 2 DMs on the bench?

Looking from last night, he cannot become a Rooney. His work rate was anything but commendable. I caught him walking on the pitch more than a couple of times when we were building an attack! With all due credit for his goal, I think the kid needs to show a lil more commitment now that his primary goal, of getting game time, is achieved. Not very convinced by his performance..

Spot on mate. If anything, I am looking for the manager's tactics to rescue us. No single player, in current form, can churn out a favorable result for us. And I guess the fullbacks should hold their position this time around. They cant be given the freedom to venture forward, that they are usually granted. If there is one thing that is actually scary about Man U, it is the pace with which they counter attack and the wingers in red will run a riot if our fullbacks are caught out of position. We should be looking to build our attack from the midfielders (good luck with that AV-B!).

What Lampard's England exclusion does for Chelsea...
lecter replied to Superblue's topic in Matthew Harding Stand
On a relevant note, I think Ash should retire from international football too. Despite of his amazing commitment to the national side, he gets booed all over the country! That somehow enrages me to extremes. And that twat Scholes says the national team does not fill him with hope. What a feckin hypocrite! He retired his ass off to play more for club and bitches about the side lacking the edge. I hate his guts. -
Can someone please point out which Chelsea players can come into the 'club grown' quota and the 'association grown' quota in the near future? Just point out who all will be eligible, please.

A much needed harangue, I'd say. But somehow it does not seem to lift people's spirits! Very surprising and irritating. I understand that Man City sports a great squad this season. But the other half of Manchester has not become invincible over the summer! They have injected some youth at the expense of veterans. The first few results went their way and they are on a high, especially after becoming Champions last season and reaching the final of the CL. Their squad has not really been tested yet. I cannot comprehend how people miss out on the start we had over the last season. We were flowing with confidence and were dispatching teams with tennis scorelines! A championship can do that to u. But then there were injuries and bad 'moments' and by the end of December we were fighting for the top four spot! So people, please do realize that it is too early to be all negative. There is reason to be a lil more aware of Man City than in previous seasons, considering the way they strengthened their squad. But just a few 'bizarre' results that went United's way dont need to fill us with cynicism. As pointed out earlier, the only thing that can and might work their way is the Fergie factor. Besides, we have not hit our rhythm yet. Its just 3 matches into the season. We have fresh legs to come in. And most importantly, we have a highly acclaimed tactician on our side. So rest assured, there will never be stagnation in the team dynamics, especially when we hit a bad patch. I, personally, am very optimistic about this season. 'We are strong enough to win the league'. We have enough potential to compete on all four fronts. I am very much behind AVB to achieve things here and in this season. And I strongly feel it is too early for people to lose their heart! CMON CHELSEA. KTBFFH!

Yeah. I just saw that Essien has been dropped from CL squad. And interestingly he is on the PL squad. Is it just because we can have him?
-
People, please dont forget his extraordinary finishing skills..as good as Messi's, if not better :541:
-
It isnt so mate. Kalou takes up a non-homegrown player spot, which Lukaku could have had. Seriously at least till the end of Group Stages AVB should have given Lukaku a chance. BTW, this also means that Romeu cannot be a part of the squad as well.

HEYYYYY! U totally missed JT there! He is a LEGEND in caps! Digressing though..dont let me interfere..continue

I heard someone on CTV say that he is an apple that fell away from the creative-player-tree (Barcelona). He plays more of the solid DM role rather than create something from the deep. I am looking forward to an appearance from this lad. Maybe Carling Cup against Fulham might be the day.. And Josh is someone who has awesome vision, from what I have seen of him. He is always looking for a vertical pass, not the tiring horizontal play that CFC has played over the past one year..Excited about him. Go AVB. Hone these young talents and u will remain a legendary manager of CFC.

Someone of our standard IMO. We were clearly indifferent when his contract was running out. If giving a place in the squad is a problem, we could at least have made some money! Roma expected to pay around 8 mil for the lad!! Not chump change for sure..

This is something that can work wonders for us. Meireles sure seems a good signing to me. He can be instrumental in phasing out Lamps from the starting XI, with all due respect to the man. I hope Studge fits well into that right slot. My team sheet would be a lil different in the following way. ..........................Cech................ Bos.........Luiz.......................JT......Ash ..................Ramires....Josh........ ...Sturridge............Meireles..........Mata ............................Nando.................... Subs: Hilario, Drogba, Ivan, RB, Lamps, Malouda I am somehow not extremely optimistic about these young signings. We always had been promised players 'for the future' like Borini, Rajkovic, Bruma etc. etc., in the end never making into the first team. I do understand that there are people who argue that they have just not been good enough for us. Similarly I am just being cautious about these players too. I do not doubt the abilities of these youngsters but am somehow left confused by the standard of the youth the management at Chelsea expects for injection into the squad. I hope they turn out really awesome and fill our squad with freshness in the coming years.

Studge and Wilshere shined with Coyle. I have high hopes for this lad. Have always been interested in this lad's progress. I consider the Fulham loan a bad movie for Gael. This move will surely rejuvenate the hype he carried when we first signed him. Otherwise, I am afraid his future at CFC might be tentative. Go Bolton I am surprised that I am gonna support pay close attention to Bolton for a whole calendar year

A little off the topic of discussion.. Its more like sell them to clubs from MLS or something..get some dough while we still can. We should stop behaving like a spoilt rich kid, who just throws away his old used toys. We should put up a yard sale of sorts. I am pretty sure we can fund a very good player from what little amount we get from selling Anelkalouda. They might no more be good enough for Chelsea but they are still world class players (okay not Kalou for sure, but he has years on his side). I do understand that we cannot let a mass exodus happen like after the double season, but we surely cant let players go for free! IMO that is just bad financial management.
-
Surely hope so! But rumours about Ganso people say..
-
January seems more probable when Genk are outta the CL. This is one signing that I would have loved and would have excused all other outrageous deadline day dealings, not that we had any, if we got this bloke in. I am especially interested with a hope that three Belgians might attract Hazard to us, not overlooking De Bruyne's individual ability of course Lets see. Come January, we might have him
-
yeah..like our own chelsea kid, Josh, had a lotta chance to be injected into the first team and we want another youngster who plays the exact same role? yeah, right!
-
Why, in the whole world, to a rival in the same league?!! That eludes me! Dying for an explanation..
-
Smells like a wily Russian plot to lure one 20 year old world-class talent :eyebrows:

does a positive cash inflow mean that we broke even, in accordance to the UEFA rules? Or does the "breaking-even" mean our operating losses should be zero? Sorry for sounding ignorant..i am a lil slow with these financial stuff!
