Oscar is 23; he's not some 15-year-old prospect (even if he is built like one). He doesn't have the ability to sniff the Madrid bench let alone get in their team. We've overrated him for long enough, it's time to stop kidding ourselves.
-
Yeah...average ones. He has no standout quality whatsoever.
-
And the thing is that because he plays well against West Brom at home people think he should be an automatic starter in tough away games.
-
Ramires restored a bit of balance but by then it was too late. Honestly, Oscar is a pretty pointless player - he is the definition of a 'Jack of all trades, master of none'. What's crazy is that at one point I thought that was fine, and that we could have such a player in the team, but how wrong was I? Somebody said here recently that he 'provides space' and he did a lot of that today. Unfortunately for us it was for Spurs. We're supposed to be one of the elite European team. Do you think any of Bayern, Barca, Madrid, Atletico etc would have such a pointless player in their team? He would struggle to even make the bench in all of those teams in my honest opinion. Like I said, we can and really should do so much better than some lightweight player who has no real talent beyond pressing and 'providing space'.
-
Honestly, I wouldn't blame him at all.
-
We can and should do so much better than Oscar to be honest.
-
He only looks good when we're playing better teams and he has 10 men within 5 yards of him. He is a complete and utter shambles otherwise. We'll play someone rubbish soon and keep a a clean-sheet and ihe'll be back to being England's greatest ever footballer.
-
No wonder he hasn't signed the contract...
-
Playing how they normally play.
-
Embarrassing.
-
Mourinho didn't think this was a category A away game and started Oscar. Learnt his lesson today.
-
Shocking. Champions don't capitulate like that.
-
I just hope we can win the league; it'd be embarrassing if Man City won he league with Lampard playing a big part for them.

Term-X was right all along :worship: :worship: :worship:

As somebody who grew up in North London and was surrounded by friends/family members who support Arsenal it's a no-brainer:
-
Doesn't score enough etc etc etc Will never win Ballon d'Or etc etc etc Not as good as whathisname etc etc etc
-
Nothing. Bamford is still on course to be sold in 12-18 months time.
-
Honestly, I would do exactly the same. If he goes and flops at a lesser club the only way is down but if he flops here it's Chelsea fault and the player will have the benefit of the doubt - the same teams he's turned down now will probably be back in for him too. Get a Chelsea salary and use your loan moves to impress other clubs = everything to gain and nothing to lose.
-
Because the salary will be good and at worst it's a one or two year disruption (look at De Bruyne and Sturridge for good examples)
-
And / if when he does eventually breakdown we will be told by many of our fellow supporters that he's just not as good as we think he is, he will never win this or that award, he isn't as good as so and so (who, conveniently, play far fewer minutes in less demanding leagues) etc. It's happened two years in a row already.
-
Looks that way unfortunately - luckily for them they've had an easy run of games so all their strikers being injured hasn't made any difference at all. We've had what seems like a great first half of the season and yet City are only 1 point behind which is worrying.
-
Doesn't score enough either...
-
Southampton started well and deserved their early lead, but we grew into the game and 1-1 is a fair reflection so far. Hazard genius. Hopefully that's the last we see of Schurrle today - he has been absolutely woeful.
-
To be fair, that was just a shit joke. Agreed, though, and I'll tone it down - I'm enjoying the season and have no real complaints to be honest.
