I'm guessing you didn't watch the first half then? It was easily the worst 45 minutes we've played this season and the midfield had a lot to do with that. Mikel is the best DM at the club.

Dzeko wants to go to Man City. As a player with no connection to either club given the choice between Chelsea and Man City right now it wouldn't be a difficult choice. When you look at our squad a lot of our better players will need replacing sooner rather than later. There is no guarantee that they will be replaced with players of similar quality. So why risk it? Why not go to City where they have a squad that can compete now and for the next 5 or 6 years? And on top of that they will offer you more money in wages and signing on fees. It's like Modric, why would you want to leave a good thing at Tottenham and come to a club in crisis?

He is already finished in my opinion. He is damaged goods that I want nowhere near our club.

Is that really such a good thing? Ancelotti tried to bring Pirlo in the summer of 2009 but thankfully he didn't want to leave Milan. That would have been a complete disaster. Ancelotti is nothing more than a coach. What he needs is a proper squad but there are some idiots at the club running the playing squad into the ground.

Why are people using Wilkins' dismissal as an excuse? We have way bigger problems than Ray Wilkins not being around. It's almost as bad as people saying we need another defender to solve our problems. Jeez, our club really is in a mess.

Arsenal pressed very well last night. A lot of our players technique and close control were under the microscope and not many did well. We're great when the opposition back-off but anytime they decide to press and give us no time on the ball we collapse completely and surrender possesion.

I don't particularly rate Ancelotti but he is doing as much as any other coach could with the current squad. Give him better options then see how he does. But questioning our manager when we have utter rubbish like Kalou in the first team and the weakest bench in the entire League is futile.

Man Crapunited,as you so eloquently put it, are a better team than Chelsea as it stands currently. Defensively and going forward they're playing at a much higher level so I'm not sure what your point is.

Hmm, strange first half. We looked like we would score the first on the counter. 10 mins before the end of the half the players stopped breaking and just sat back. Arsenal more or less dominated and it was only a matter of time. Our bench is so, so weak. Nobody to come on and change the game. Suprised Bosingwa didn't start but other than that there is nothing there. Hopefully we can nick a goal on the break or a set piece because we are conceding too much ground and possesion.

These latest comments have just shattered any hope I had of us signing someone in January.

I should add that I have zero faith in Ancelotti or the club looking to sign an attacking player after reading this So we struggle to score goals, our best strker is suffering from malaria, Anelka is out of form, Malouda only gets a rest because of the weather and he says we don't need at least 1 new attacker in the mix? This guy is either clueless or being told what to say by those running the squad into the ground.

Right sided winger/attacker That then frees up Anelka to rotate with Drogba and it also keeps Kalou as far away from the first team as possible. Win-win situation.

I think so personally. Although a case can be made for Ivanovic at RB and Alex alongside Terry.

Iniesta isn't a pure dribbler? WHAT?!!? Iniesta ghosts past players like they aren't there. In fact I remember watching the Youth FA Cup final last year and Josh McEachran was almost gliding past players in central positions which was so impressive.

I'm the opposite. A midfielder who can dribble like Iniesta is invaluable as he can open up so much space by beating his marker. Deco at times was excellent at this but sadly he came about 7-8 years too late.

Well that is what he is imo. He isn't the best player in the World and I personally think we can do better.

Ashley is one of those rare cases which make signing a player from a rival club a good thing. He is the best in the world in his position and he f*cks up the Arsenal every time we play them. :champions:

We were heavily linked with him before Spurs signed him. It’s a shame that we didn't take the punt on him then because he has developed into a very decent player and would have been extremely useful to this Chelsea side. As much as I think he would be a decent signing there are two things going against him; his price and his Tottenham affiliation. He would cost a silly sum way above his ability as a footballer. And considering the best price we could negotiate for Ramires was £18m I don’t trust our club to get a good deal. Also I prefer when we sign players who can create their name with Chelsea and not come here as an established player from a rival club.
